Pre-Season:

1. Ilona & Alan - I'm obsessed with her. I was thrilled with her casting and I already love this partnership.

2. Phaedra & Val - I of course fell in love with her like every human being who watched The Traitors. What a comeback from her. From #cancelled to The Traitors, DWTS, and I think she's coming back to Real Housewives. They're gonna be a hilarious duo.

3. Chandler & Brandon - The vibes are good. I'm seated for their dances.

4. Stephen & Rylee - I of course fell in love with him like every human being who watched the Olympics. But I wouldn't be me if I wasn't already fighting their inevitable frontrunner narrative.

5. Anna & Ezra - This is so camp. People are taking her way too seriously lmao. I'm glad Anna & Ezra are both embracing the silliness of the whole show.

6. Reginald & Emma - He is so adorbz and wholesome I know I will be stanning.

7. Brooks & Gleb - Gleb's already got about seven routines in the works that will rival Jana's shower dance in terms of steaminess.

8. Jenn & Sasha - As a non-Bachelor watcher I'm completely neutral about her casting, but I'm open to liking her.

9. Tori & Pasha - How was she not on this show before now? There's no one who screams DWTS hasbeen more than Tori Spelling.

10. Danny & Witney - I'm getting nothing but Generic Football Player #26 from him.

11. Joey & Jenna - Idk maybe I'm still scarred from past Bachelor Nation men named Joe(y) overstaying their welcome on this show.

12. Dwight & Daniella - I don't think we're getting Iman & Daniella 2.0 here lol.

13. Eric & Britt - If we get Julia Roberts in the audience maybe this would have been worth it.

  1. Stephen & Rylee - after all the nonsense Rylee put up with last season, she got someone who’s basically the exact opposite of her first partner; I admit to a little bias as a former gymnast, but they’re having a blast in rehearsals and it shows.
  2. Ilona & Alan - They’re killing it on social media and I’m so happy that Alan gets a chance to let loose more this season; I would be shocked to see them out early.
  3. Danny & Witney - call me crazy, but I think we’re sleeping on these two; Witney’s a heck of a choreographer and Danny spoke very highly of her in interviews, so if he’s willing to put the work in I think they’ve got a shot (not to mention he’s a former wide receiver, and two of the four NFL players that have won the show were wide receivers as well).
  4. Jenn & Sasha - while his finalists make it far in spite of Sasha’s choreo rather than because of it, his record speaks for itself; other than Selma’s withdrawal, he’s never placed outside of the top 10. Add in Bachelor Nation’s fan vote and Jenn’s sympathetic backstory and I think they could do very well.
  5. Joey & Jenna - he’s the most likable Bachelor in a long time, and Jenna’s a producer darling. Even though he’ll also have to compete for the Bachelor Nation fan vote (and risk splitting it so neither makes the finale), I ranked Jenn ahead of him because Bachelorettes tend to fare slightly better than Bachelors on this show.
  6. Chandler & Brandon - she’s a former Disney kid and has extensive dance experience; that should help her right out of the gate. I would be happy to see her make it deep into the competition, but Brandon’s middling track record makes me hesitant to place her higher.
  7. Dwight & Daniella - he has natural swagger and rhythm, and Daniella’s ridiculously innovative when it comes to her choreography; the two-pronged problem here is the comical height difference along with the inevitable comparisons to her partnership with Iman. I could see them being an early out or making it a long way into the season; they’re the biggest wild cards out of everyone.
  8. Phaedra & Val - she’s a hoot and Val’s got a stellar track record, but we haven’t had a pro pull off a back-to-back win since 2013. Add in Bravo castings often being a bit divisive and I could see her being the “shock” elimination of the season.
  9. Reginald & Emma - social media adores this pairing and both of them seem to be working hard to make things go well; his biggest hindrance will be his age. Still, this could easily be a Barry Williams situation (and I wouldn’t be too mad at that).
  10. Brooks & Gleb - hello, eye candy. Gleb’s choreo will likely involve a lot of sex appeal, but that can only carry folks so far.
  11. Tori & Pasha - I honestly keep forgetting Tori’s on the show (sorry, Tori!) but if she fails to make an impression among the more controversial names, she might be an early out.
  12. Anna & Ezra - speaking of the controversial casting, I could see them actually surviving the first few cuts because people think it’s funny to keep her around, but I don’t see them making it past week 4 or 5.
  13. Eric & Britt - as a Britt fan, this hurts. Unfortunately, older male celebs generally struggle on the show, and social media seems more into Reginald than him. Will they be the first out? Who knows, but I wouldn’t be shocked.

1. Anna & Ezra - i don't know how this will turn out, but i do know that it will undoubtedly be entertaining. hopefully she is actually good!

2. Stephen & Rylee - so glad Rylee has a partner who she can *actually* use to show off her full potential as a pro.

3. Chandler & Brandon - i always root for the token gen z and/or disney star! my only worry for her is that she is partnered with mr. “has yet place above 8th”…

4. Ilona & Alan - her casting made me realize how little body type diversity there usually is amongst the female celebs. glad that she’s here to change that! she seems like such a delight ❤️

5. Phaedra & Val - i think she will bring lots of personality to her dances and the season as a whole!!

6. Reginald & Emma - Emma is killing the social media game with him and they have fun, wholesome vibes. i could see him being the Barry of the season.

7. Jenn & Sasha - idk anything about her except the *horrible* finale drama, so i hope she has a positive experience on the show. i also get vibes that she will be a good dancer (unless Sasha fumbles, which… is possible).

8. Brooks & Gleb - something about their partnership makes me very uncomfortable? the vibes are a bit icy and cold imo. that being said, i could see myself potentially unironically supporting due to Gleb's inevitable over sexualization of it all.

9. Tori & Pasha - she’s peak “DWTS coded celebrity" and i'm surprised it took until 2024 to get her on. not sure what she will offer to the season, but would love for her to prove me wrong.

10. Danny & Witney - happy that Witney is back but he seems stiff based on TikToks so far. never really care for football players on the show, but again, would love for him to prove me wrong.

11. Joey & Jenna - idk anything about him and bachelor men are one of my least favorite genres of contestants on the show.

12. Dwight & Daniella - i have a feeling he doesn’t really care about the show since he only started rehearsing earlier this week. i fear it will be a (worse) re-hashing of Iman, who i was never really a fan of anyways. he's also problematic!

13. Eric & Britt - i feel sad for Britt! though she’s also not really going out of her way on social media to get people to come around on Eric so…

1. Chandler & Brandon - I have really good vibes about Chandler. The pairing on paper reads shock boot, I’m just hoping I’ll be proven wrong.
2. Phaedra & Val - this is a really fun pairing and I think Phaedra’s gonna do well.

3. Jenn & Sasha - just hope she has a good experience. She deserves it!

4. Stephen & Rylee - really excited to see how he does and to see Rylee with someone who seems to have at least a slight sense of ability.

5. Brooks & Gleb - they’re so hot that I know it’ll make the general demographic of this show seethe and I can’t wait.

6. Ilona & Alan - I don’t really remember anyone who’s been killing the social media game as much as she has been.

7. Reginald & Emma - good vibes, Emma is in her element with older partners. I can see Reginald being the Barry of the season.

8. Anna & Ezra - every bit of preseason content has been a goldmine. I’ve been seeing a lot of ‘poor Ezra’ comments but trust me he is loving this lmao.

9. Joey & Jenna - he seems like he’ll actually have promise and he seems likeable!

10. Tori & Pasha - again, I hope she has a good experience. I like this pairing.

11. Danny & Witney - I’m not getting much yet but if he does well tomorrow I can definitely see these two going the distance.

12. Dwight & Daniella - he seems genuinely excited to be there and I’m sure Daniella will work her magic.

13. Eric & Britt - I feel like they’re obvious first boot fodder which makes me sad for Britt, she’s due a real contender next year

1.  Stephen & Rylee — he’s the Pommel Horse Guy!
2.  Jenn & Sasha — I feel for her after the awful break-up and I like Asian Americans, so I will vote for her.
3.  Ilona & Alan — Olympics athletes always get very far.

4.  Chandelier & Brandon — if Brandon had gone farther with other people, I’d rank them higher.
5.  Brooks & Gleb — I so wish I could be the one dancing with Mr. Hot Stuff!  But he’s still got a looker here.
6.  Joey & Jenna — I like him but I like others more.

7.  Reginald & Emma — I like him but I’m not sure he’ll go very far.
8.  Phaedra & Val — interesting but not my cup of tea.
9.  Danny & Witney — football players can go far but not if they’re too stiff.
10.  Dwight & Daniella — a basketball player will probably have a hard time.
11.  Tori & Pasha — I think she’ll be lost in the crowd.
12.  Anna & Ezra — I have a dim view of con artists, so I dislike her already.
13.  Eric & Britt — they’re not going to be on for long, which is sad.

  1. Chandler & Brandon - even though I ranked her low-ish at 6th last week, I had a feeling she’d be good right out the gate. Happy to see that I was right and hoping that she can keep the momentum to make it far into the season (if not win). (+5)
  2. Joey & Jenna - Chandler doing well was expected, given her dance background; Joey, on the other hand, was a surprise in the best possible way. Charisma, solid musicality, and agility will make him fun to watch, and Bachelor Nation might finally break the men’s curse on the finale. (+3)
  3. Stephen & Rylee - their adorable, sunshine-filled personalities and enthusiasm radiated through a routine jam-packed with content from the first beat. Problem is, Stephen got a little bit ahead of the music and didn’t quite reign it back in. They’re still superstars with hella front-runner potential, so if they can make his musicality and technique a bit more fine-tuned, they’ve got a shot to take it home. (-2)
  4. Danny & Witney - he took on the lead role in their tango seamlessly, but his nerves were some of the most evident of the night. His footwork and frame weren’t bad for week 1, so if Witney can get him out of his head I think they’ve got a fair chance at making it to the semis at minimum. (-1)
  5. Jenn & Sasha - for having minimal rehearsal time, they did great. Her lines need some work, but she’s got a ton of potential & Sasha is patient enough to pull it out, provided he doesn’t go the “f*** around” route in his choreo. (-1)
  6. Phaedra & Val - she kept up with the choreo and had pretty good execution of every move she was given, but got a touch overshadowed by the two people that followed. Not her fault in the slightest, but I’m hoping her natural pizzazz gets a chance to shine net week with fewer inhibitions. (+2)
  7. Ilona & Alan - she did well with hitting her marks on beat, but I’d tie her with Danny for “contestant who most obviously got in their own head ahead of the performance.” If she’s able to relax, I think she’ll really shine, especially if she’s able to translate her social media personality through to the camera crew. (-5)
  8. Dwight & Daniella - he has swagger in spades and seeing Dani manage to work around the ginormous gap in heights like it was no big deal was entertaining. The problems came mainly from the moments they were in hold together — that height difference is going to make that a challenge for as long as he’s on the show, and there’s only so many styles that’ll let them maneuver around it with lifts & tricks. (-1)
  9. Tori & Pasha - her excitement at being in the ballroom was super endearing, and though there were definitely shaky parts there were several flashes of potential  mixed in. (+2)
  10. Anna & Ezra - a low-energy awkward nightcap is about as far from Espresso as you can get, but the content was good other than her facial expressions not helping sell things. They might survive the initial cut, but I’m not sure how far they’ll be able to skate by on Anna’s bedazzled ankle jewelry and dry delivery of her moves. (+2)
  11. Brooks & Gleb - she’s got good lines, but a Tango is supposed to have some sizzle, and these two had less chemistry than my college transcript. Try again next week, you two. (-1)
  12. Eric & Britt - I expected some issues given his physical limitations & past history of neurological trauma, but this actually wasn’t terrible? It wasn’t great, and that start on the stairs was especially rough, but he gave it a solid try and did actually move around a fair amount. (+1)
  13. Reginald & Emma - I don’t wanna talk about it. On a more positive note, his facial expressions & ability to sell the limited movement he ended up doing were both good. (-4)
