Something tells me that the 3rd Platinum ticket will be presented at an NFL game aired on ABC this post-season.

ABC only has the broadcast rights to one 2025 playoff game. It’s the Monday Night Football game on January 13.

It’s sort of a weird dynamic because Carrie sings the theme song for Sunday Night Football on NBC.

shot in the dark but kari selle isn’t kariselle snow from mtv (are you the one) and netflix (sexy beasts/perfect match), right? her name popped out to me immediately and she’s definitely a good enough vocalist to legitimately compete in something like this

edit to add i just found the post she’s tagged in and it is her ! the post doesn’t show up in her tagged posts though, even though the tag leads to her profile. anyway yeah she’s one to keep an eye on imo she’s a very solid vocalist with a ton of charisma

There have been at least 100 contestants that have been on multiple shows, just among those aired. It seems to be a common trend.

I get being tired of the retreads, but this particular person was on the Voice 8 years ago and didn’t make it past the 2nd round. I watch the Voice and I had to look her up because she made no impression on me.

I hope Hollywood week isn’t taking place this week…

I hope not either...but quite a few of the contestants have posted unrelated things so I suspect not?

yeah thankfully filming does not seem to be happening now, thinking of all those in L.A. 🙏 🫶

i was looking at some contestant instagrams and Landry Champlin has a show on January 13th, so i'm going to guess filming will begin late next week or weekend? On Camera Audiences recently updated the Idol page to Season 23 and added the Orpheum Theater as the location which means it is imminent.

The Orpheum is in downtown Los Angeles so the fires shouldn't be an issue for that.

Hopefully the many Idols over the years that live in the area are okay! Along with everyone else.

obviously this should be taken with a grain of salt, but there is a supposed parent on the Idol subreddit asking questions about the format, making travel plans, and claiming Hollywood begins Thursday/Friday.

giving this random person the benefit of the doubt... i wonder if production is still moving forward with this following the wildfires and recovery? based on media coverage and what i've heard from friends in L.A., it's hard for me to imagine productions resuming so quickly, but there's also still some time between now and then. regardless, hoping production makes the decision that is safest for everyone involved!!

I know time is tight, but it would be a lot more expensive to do everything in Hawaii with 150 or so contestants instead of 24.

I would think Las Vegas would be the most likely backup site, since it's only 4 to 5 hours away and they can get them on buses there if they already flew to LAX, plus at a quieter time of year they should be able to book theater space on short notice. With conditions supposed to be rough again Monday into Tuesday, additional wildfires are certainly possible, and while the Orpheum is downtown and not in a fire risk zone, that will strain the region even more.

For Greater Los Angeles, there is a Red Flag Warning (meaning, a fire threat warning) until Wednesday morning. The worst conditions look to be on Tuesday, where wind gusts could be 60-70 mph in the mountains with extremely dry weather.

Yeah Vegas or San Diego would be the easiest cities to get to.
