I thought Jayna killed it on both of her performances and Roman killed it last night. Tonight was a bit of a misstep but he was still better than some. Bur yeah, no matter what they did they were going regardless. :(

I'm not so sure. Jayna killed it tonight, but she was weak enough last week that I didn't vote for her. Roman, on the other hand, I thought it was a mistake that he survived last night and I was glad to see him gone tonight. I'm not even a gospel fan but him going away from the gospel has been a huge mistake. (He wasn't even bad tonight; he just wasn't good enough; tonight was so strong.)

Ah all understandable thoughts here. I did think Jayna was a mixed bag last week but did really enjoy both of her performances this week. I do disagree on Roman but yeah I think he was doomed either way if he did a gospel song tonight or not.

lol You know she would not have and still be gone tonight. :claybleh:

Well, the results were predictable. Outside of S20, the wildcards have lasted two nights at most.

Loved the Archie performance and the story behind the song. It couldn't have been easy for him or his mother to step away from their faith.

Besides the Mandisa tribute, I'm looking forward to seeing if Lionel and Luke continue the gag of picking the same two John Mayer songs for a contestant during the Judges Song Choice theme. :haha:

On the note of Triston's girlfriend getting so much attention this episode, I found this "lovely" Bible verse featured on her Instagram page:

‘If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.'

So yeah, that's a no from me.

As far as wild cards go, it made way more sense when the judges picked those before the live vote. Or when there was one person, like Jessica Sanchez, who was given a more fair shot as a result.

Ugh.  But that’s not going to make any difference in whether I vote for Triston or not.  I’m already voting only for females, and Triston’s a guy.  And at least she doesn’t seem to be associated with child molesters like Will is.

You really should chill with this bullsh*t, and maybe retain whatever shred of credibility you have left.

being openly homophobic is just as disgusting as associating with a child molestor.

can't say I'm surprised since Triston still has that Trump "best president ever" post on his page 🙄 it's just annoying to find out more stuff like this especially when i've been warming up to him

So I take it you didn't enjoy Kaibrienne's "I ♥️ making boys cry" phone cover. 😏

I assume Will doesn't know whether the allegations against the guitar player are true or not. According to a post in another thread, the police report against the man "was cleared & not escalated to any type of charges." People in the United States are presumed innocent until proven guilty—not the other way around.

Try what? I wish people referred to everyone as male and female and leave race out of it. I only see male and females not there color thanks.

The white girl tweet got deleted as it is gone now.

3 brown folks in the bottom is just typical. I think American Idol's fanbase prefers white country male and female singers. Imo 🙄

I feel like the producers told the judges to critique more on this episode (since last night was filled with consistent standing ovations and minimal criticism.) Was I the only one who noticed a significant increase in negative comments from the judges?

as much as i think homophobia and what people said were him being a trumpie are a little unfortunate, i think it's worth considering that they're at the cusp age where they're probably finding their own opinions instead of just regurgitating their parents'. it's possible that in the next few years they'll realize that these opinions don't represent them and instead are just what they were raised to believe. so i think it would be nice to give them some grace and hope they learn !!

that said i will not be voting for triston because i dont rly think he's an exceptional singer
