ptebwwong
Billboard has a list of the best albums of 2024 (so far). Scotty is on the list. Here's what is written: Scotty McCreery, Rise & Fall “Traditional” isn’t a word that often inspires enthusiasm when talking about new music — but dust off your boots because Scotty McCreery made a classic country album, and boy, does it hit. McCreery steers clear of any current Nashville pop trends on Rise & Fall, instead doubling down on acoustic, electric and slide guitars, stomping, sturdy rhythms and a rich baritone that’s been the star of the show since he won American Idol in 2011. He’s got the tender moments (“Love Like This”), the clever wordplay songs (“Cab in a Solo”) and plenty of knee-slappers (“And Countin’”). And if that weren’t enough to make this a well-rounded record, he’s got a “three chords and the truth” thesis to tie it all together in “No Country for Old Men,” which shows that McCreery did his homework — and it paid off. — C.W. https://www.billboard.com/lists/best-albums-2024-so-far/ Edited June 18 by ptebwwong

buttons66
Scotty McCreery – Rise & Fall In May 2024, Scotty McCreery released his fifth and what could easily be seen as his best album to date, Rise & Fall. The project showcases his growth as an artist over the past 13 years, while honoring his modern-day traditionalist sound. In a previous interview with Country Now, the American Idol alum admitted to taking a “no rules” approach to writing and recording this project, resulting in a work he is extremely proud of. Within the 13 tracks, he weaves nostalgic ‘90s influenced tunes like “Can’t Bass The Bar” with faith-filled songs such as “Red Letter Blueprint,” and offers plenty of authentic storytelling. Plus, staying true to his signature style, McCreery continues to capture the hearts of fans with his tender love songs including the latest single, “Fall Of Summer.” The album also features his chart-topper “Cab In A Solo” as well as fan-favorites, “Love Like This,” “Slow Dance,” “Porch,” and more. +sinycalone
Probably would help if we posted about Rise and Fall on social media....boosting its visibility. Twitter, Threads and Facebook mentions should keep the CD out front.
