The Challenge: All-Stars 4

Got through watching the latest episode. Some thoughts: 

 

- Oooh Adam vs. Steve is reallly juicy. Looking forward to how this rivalry plays out.
- I do feel bad for Steve with being put into the elimination 3 times to fight and protect his star so many times. He definitely deserves his spot to be in the final and I'm hoping he can be there.
- LMAOOO Flora's comments on being confused on how/why she's still here. hahaha she is such comedic gold.
- Oh wow, so the six with the stars makes it to the final. Very well done to them. Thoug LOL Ace did absolutely nothing and didn't have to go into an elimination to fight for his star. How lucky he is? Poor Adam on the other hand with losing his star right at the tail end of things.
- OK yeah I figured TJ had a star for an extra star for a man and a woman. I guess I am rooting for Derek and Laurel here. LOL Laurel mad me MAD a few weeks ago but I can't quit being a fan of hers. While I am rooting for Derek, I wouldn't be mad at an Adam win so we could get more Adam vs. Steve content.
- Omgg awww Flora quitting right before the final challenge. Awww Flora, I feel so sad for the way she had to leave. But she made it MUCH further than she expected (and what all of us thought). I respect the way she quit/left as she knew her body couldn't take it o it's best not to cause any further injury on herself.
- lol poor Averey. Laurel is completly smoking her, which i think was to be expected. But oooof Averey was embarrassingly bad at the paddling in the water part.
-Ahh Derek vs. Adam is reallly tight here!
- Ooh wow I was getting scared for Derek but yayy he found his star! And also yayyy Laurel found her star too! I was rooting for them both and happy for the both of them!
- Feel kinda bad for Adam missing out just like that but he gave it a good fight. Though his attitude the last episode made it hard to root for him.
- Ooh no closing confessional from Adam? Maybe he was too mad to do one? But aww I do love Ryan's comments and suppot for Derek on his final confessional.
- Of this Final, I'm mostly rooting for Laurel and Leroy to win, with backup options of Veronica and Derek. Though I'm realistic and am pretty sure Veronica doesn't stand a shot against the three women  she's against. But oh wait, is this an individual winner? Shoot, still rooting for the names I said.  
- Oooh that fast driving car + paintball challenge looks fun but also SOO scary. I could not do that, I would be a hot mess.
- Ooh yayy Cara Maria was a hot mess in this challenge. No complaints about that.
- Ooh yayy very happy for Laurel and Leroy being the two to hit the most targets!
- Oooh nice yayy very happy for Leroy getting the advantage!
- LOL Leroy with the fake loud screams... and Steve not buying it!
- omgg Nicole in tears with this electric star challenge.
- OMGG the way Ace did this challenge was hilarious! I wonder if that will work or not for him.
- LOL Veronica is a boss with getting shocked multiple times but not screaming once, omg.
- Oh dear, Derek look like he was going really slow on his. I'm worried he could be the one that goes - didn't look so promising.
- Whoa Laurel was in the Bottom 2? I was not expecting that. Was expecting Dedrek to be down there. UGH and of course it ends on a cliffhanger. Ugh guess hoping Derek does as I don't want Laurel to be the first one to go. But  I have a feeling it's going to be a major shocker with Laurel going - but ugh I hope not. I don't want Cara Maria to get what she wants THIS soon.

 

I guess my order of rooting for them would be:

1. Leroy
2. Veronica
3. Laurel
4. Derek
5. Steve
6. Cara Maria
7. Ace
8. Nicole Z

I watched the episode.  You knew Avery not going into that elimination 3 episodes ago was going to cost her.  Laurel and Derek beasted that challenge. Flora not even competing is funny.  Adam so bitter at Steve sort of makes sense for the upcoming season being filmed. Happy Adam got eliminated, I don't like him.

 

I feel like Derek is about to get eliminated.  This season is going to come down to Laurel vs Cara Maria for the win. That was spoken about several times this episode and at least once by each of them.  

 

I think I am comfortable enough to rank the finalists.

 

1. Cara Maria - this is basically her season.  Front to back she is the story.

2. Derek - I have really enjoyed seeing him blossom as a competitor this season.

3. Veronica - I do love Queen V.  Her literally not having to do or win anything all season and get to the finals is epic.  Not to mention the move she pulled with Zanetta earlier in the season.

4. Steve - I have enjoyed underdog Steve.

5. Ace - I've enjoyed him more then his past performances, so that's good!

6. Laurel - I haven't enjoyed Laurel this season.  Her rekindled relationship with Nicole and her Cara hate are both nasty. But she is still Laurel, so shes entertaining enough to watch.

7. Leroy - He will continue to flop forever and all time!

8. Zanetta - I would be thrilled if I never have to see her again.

When is Nicole going to disappear from this show? 

 

Glad Cara-Maria survived the first part. I don’t think I’m really rooting for anyone else this season out of who’s left. Leroy is expendable and unlikeable, Veronica/Derek have been invisible for the entire season and Laurel ruined her chances when she got back with Nicole. Maybe Steve at a push? Meh.

That had to have been the worst constructed final in the history of finals.

Congrats to Laurel.  You knew it was coming down to her or Cara.  Their relationship is so fascinating because they seemed good at the end but were at each others throats all final.  

 

The fact that Laurel got 4 advantages in the final sucked.  There was no way anyone was winning against her as she used them correctly. Cara would have won that I think if everyone was on equal footing.  It sucks that Steve fumbled at the last minute too. 

 

I like All-stars so much more then the regular seasons.  This was so refreshing after Season 39.

I actually liked the first half of the final. I think skill games instead of just pure endurance work for an All-Stars season. It makes it more equitable, I was like maybe Veronica could actually win this lol. The second half is where it all falls apart with the star twist though. I was just so uninvested. Shoutout to Steve who almost pulled it off, I felt bad for him when he f*cked up. Congrats to Laurel though. Not my favorite season of hers, but I'm always a fan and I'm glad she got her second win, she obviously is one of the GOATs of the show and deserves it.

I watched the finale a little earlier. Wrote my weekly thoughts as usual:

 

- Awww dangg I hate that it had to be between Derek vs. Laurel for the first one out, ugh. I didn't want either to go.... sad to see Derek be the first one to go. Ugh he had such a great comeback season. I was so proud of how he did, played the game and getting this far. Sad it had to end but at least he made it through to all the episodes, at least.
- Oooh wow Derek gave his star to Laurel. And yesss at it making Cara Maria seethe. But yay great choice for Derek choosing Laurel! And he's rooting for a queer winner so an even bigger yay that he gave his star to Laurel rather than Nicole.
- LOL this hot chili pepper challenge is hilarious.... and so deadly.
- Ughh booo at Nicole winning the advantage here. Ugh off to a bad start here.
- Yesss at Laurel slaying that Balance for Survival elimination. She smoked everyone at that.
- OMG I can't believe Ace is the first man to finish this, lmao. Ace is so random but HI bet he's gonna randomly do so well here. 
- Ugh at it being down to Steve, Veronica and Leroy. Steve finished... so now Leroy vs. Veronica. Ughh. Ugh I bet Leroy is gonna flop and mess this up, especially with the ladies coaching Veronica.
- Yep, I knew and called it that Veronica would barely beat Leroy. Ughhh Leroy.... I was rooting for you! You were supposed to do this for Kam & Kingston. Ughh.. he flops yet again. But oooh he gave his star to Steve. But happy for Leroy getting this far, at least.
- Ugh Laurel & Nicole in the firefighter duo challenge advantage. Do I root for them or against them? That is the question I am conflicted on. Though if not, I could root for Steve & Veronica, at least.
- Ugh of course the one team I didn't want to win the advantage was Ace & Cara Maria.
- Hmmm interesting 6 - 4 elimination round. And with them choosing the order, I am wondering if and predicting if it will go like this: Cara Maria - Ace - Veronica - Steve - Nicole - Laurel.
- Lol at Cara Maria hating all of these and not wanting to do any of these eliminations.
- Ooh kinda surprised Ace chose Steve next as he's a bigger threat than Veronica. But then I guess not as Steve gave him a star to get to the finals two times, so this is his way of helping Steve out lol.
- Ooh kinda surprised Steve went for the Nailed It elimination as it sounds like that was the hardest one.
- Okay so Veronica chose Nicole over Laurel, meaning Laurel goes last and is stuck with the default challenge. Ughh, hoping she can slay the nails elimination.
- Oooh is Nicole flopping on this rolling marble blast elimination? I sure hope sooo. Let her go so she can give her star to Laurel.
- OMG Laurel is HEATED and sooo mad doing that nail elimination. Hopefully that was good and fast enough to keep her in the competition!
- Oooh wow Veronica & Nicole were the two with the slowest time. I kinda figured that would be the case, especially with Nicole. Nicole really struggled. I wasn't sure with Veronica but I figured her time was coming to an end soon.  
- Yay Nicole giving her star to Laurel, which I expected. Wasn't sure about Veronica but yayyy for her giving her star to Laurel! And aww I loved her closing confessional comments about wanting to help Laurel win!
- Ugh this Final 4. Rooting mostly for Laurel with Steve as a back up and... that's it.
- Cara Maria's plan backfiring to get rid of Laurel - which kept Laurel in the game and got her more stars!   
- Aww okay I liked Ace's message of what he plans to do with the winning money if he wins. I'm not so against him winning now though still prefer for Laurel to win it.
- lol Ace talking about how much he loves riding scooters and like he picked them out himself and then Laurel surpasses him.
- Omg Cara Maria had me cracking up with her constant swearing on the scooter ride.
- Aww Ace struggling real bad, especially him on that puzzle which everyone else got through so easily. So with that, I'm not really surprised it's a tight race between Laurel, Steve and Cara Maria.
- Dangg not Laurel losing her lead with her star advantage with Steve catching up to her and Cara Maria also catching up. Ughh.
- lol Steve was really smart to save his stars for the end. Oh wait, then the producer called him out on one star per lap. I guess not. And he used it on a simple/easy game, lol.  Lmaooo he screwed up, omg.  Gah yikes, I feel for him.
- Yay Laurel got her lead back.
- OMGG Poor Ace is still on that dang puzzle? Dangg this is absolutely embarrassing from him. Ooh and then when Steve finished.... did Ace just check out and get eliminated there? Or maybe that's because he didn't complete any of the other checkpoints and he's last anyway. Well, I do like Ace as a person. He has good positive energy and is fun and lolzy kind of character. I think he completely lucked up in getting to this final with how Steve gave him a star to the final 2 times. But him making it to 4th? I honestly didn't expect that as I thought he would have been out 8th or 7th. So he did better than I expected and should be proud of how he did. 
- Lmao I am not surprised that the end was down to Laurel vs. Cara Maria. That was the season's storyline all along, lol.
- Yayy Laurel winning the final! Ughh she ticked me off at certain points of the season, no denying that. I let that be known and shown. But I've  always loved and been a fan of Laurel's, so I was always gonna root for her no matter. And yayy so happy she accomplished winning this final! Yayy for her getting her 2nd win here! It's crazy how the last episode ended/this episode began with Laurel almost going and then ended with her winning!
- OMGG Laurel celebrating and cheering Cara Maria on as she came in 2nd, I was NOT expecting that. While I am not much of a Cara Maria fan, there's no denying she's a strong and incredible challenger here. And it's even cooler that it was an all female Top 2!
- Omgg LOL I would so love to see Cara Maria & Laurel as Rivals on an upcoming season.
- Aww Ace wanting to free the cockroaches at the end of the episode. That's so Ace for you.

Shout out to Derek who had his best showing ever.  I really enjoyed watching him this season!
