The Challenge: All-Stars 4

Finally got through watching the episode. Phew, it was an intense one!

 

- Aww I feel so bad for Laurel in the beginning of the episode. Though wow Cara Maria is actually speaking some truth on Laurel and what Nicole has done to her. Though at the same time, maybe she shouldn't voice her opinions too strongly on their relationship as it's their relationship. Ah this is all so tricky honestly.
- Awww loved the segment of Kam & Leroy talking with their adorable son.
- Oooh I am totally here for Laurel & Kam teaming up to take down Cara Maria.
- SMH @ the second group not working hard enough to get Cara Maria's balls out to get her eliminated in the bottom group. Though props to Cara on protecting her star so hard.
- OMG yikes Cara Maria vs. Nicole after that main challenge was INTENSE.
- OMG wow that was the most heated vote discussion ever between Laurel, Cara Maria and Nicole. Oh danggg.   OMG dangg Laurel is really losing her ish, yikes.
- Ahh Kam vs. Tina should be good (should that happen). Obviously rooting for Killer Kam, so hopefully she can pull out this win.
- Oooh #bless, Killer Kam slayed and killed that elimination! Phew, I was so scared even though I shouldn't be as I knew she would do it. At the same time, I am sad to see Tina go like this. She's so fun to watch, but I feel like this is the furthest she's made it on All-Stars and I'm happy for her getting this far! Will also miss the Veronica/Tina friendship.
- And yeah as expected Kam stole Cara Maria's star. I'm glad everything worked out for Kam in the way that she wanted. Curious to see what Cara does next - whether if she can get her star back or if people can actually get her out of the game.

Yeah, that was definitely a missed opportunity on Averey's end as I definitely feel she would have beaten Tina in that.

That was a good episode. Getting to learn a little bit more about Avery was nice. Laurel fell into the same trap Avery did last week though.  She needed to go down into that elimination.  The problem is, I don't think Cara loses that elimination to anyone.  That challenge favored smaller frames and more dexterous individuals.  I think Laurel loses if she goes down there against Cara, so smart of her not to risk her place in the game for that. Also a girls elimination felt right since they are carrying this season. Shouldn't this season be coming to a close?  I thought All-stars were 10 episodes, doesn't look like the final is next week!

 

Anyway team Cara Maria.  She got her star back and there is something karmic about  Cara unravelling the entire masterplan to take her out last week. Can Nicole leave please?

Was interesting to see how that all played out but it was a great episode. I'm glad that we finally got some Averey content that was good to see. 

 

Obviously the Nicole & Laurel verse Cara stuff dominated the episode. Nicole and Laurel continued to make themselves look dumb.

 

A Kam vs Cara matchup was cool and while I like Kam I was definitely rooting for Cara because I want to see her end Nicole.

I think Laurel made the right choice. That elimination just did not favor her body frame. Like she’ll get the chance for a star I assume, they’re not gonna just send everyone without a star home packing. It’ll probably be like a purge or something, and I’d put my money on Laurel there over the other starless girls.

 

Bad day for Kam between that daily and that elimination. But I always appreciate Kam’s go big or go home attitude and she certainly demonstrated that this season. I will welcome her back any time with open arms.

 

Cara Maria dragging Nicole episode after episode is the most I’ve ever enjoyed her. My biggest problem with this season is it’s essentially the Cara Maria Show. Great for Cara Maria fans, not so much from me. I’m thinking she wins. I just can’t imagine who else it could be. Maybe Adam?

Well  now that I don't have as many shows on right now, I can watch this earlier. Some thoughts of mine I wrote while watching:

 

- Lol I love Flora's comments of being shocked that she's still here on the show.

- Aww Averey's backstory with her brother/family was touching.  
- OMGG this Cara Maria vs. Nicole drama at the start of the episode was insane.
- LOL Flora's comments on Cara Maria. Mann, I bet it would and must be exhausting living with Cara.
- OMGGG A woman's elimination day? Danngg just had it last time. Dang, I feel like the Challenge Gods are always looking out for Cara Maria, omg.
- Omgg Ryan & Veronica are such a hilarious hot mess in this main challenge.
- Ughh Kam freaking out in this challenge. She better get it together! Ugh nooo, I'm sad and disappointed she had to DQ. Though the comments and reasons said about it makes sense.
- Yayy Laurel being first in her heat. Hopefully she did well enough to beat out Cara Maria.
- OMG wow TJ announced the winner so quick.... I was not expecting that.   But yayyy Laurel & Derek won that challenge... great news. Hope that was enough to block Cara Maria.
- Oooh snap, Cara Maria in the losing group? Woww could this mean..... that Cara Maria vs. Laurel is happening? Oh woww.
- Okay, not surprised that the vote was Cara Maria vs. Kam. 
- Ahhh I feel like the potential Cara Maria vs. Laurel battle has the potential for fireworks. This should be an exciting elimination battle. Ah I do hope Laurel sticks to the plan... cause yeah I'll be worried for Kam vs. Cara.
- OMG UGH Laurel passed up the chance to go against Cara Maria on this elimination. WTH, Laurel??? Ugh Laurel, this is your chance to get your star and you're backing out? Ugh I am so disappointed and was wanting soooo badly the fireworks of Cara Maria vs. Laurel! Ugh pooor Kam so blindsided by this move. She already fought and earned her star last week.
- Well, obviously with Kam vs. Cara Maria, I still gotta root for Kam. But I am TICKED.
- Gahh this elimination. I was loving it at the start with Kam having quite a lead over Cara. But then Kam forgot like 2-3 balls, Cara caught up fast and just ugh..... of course Cara Maria beats Kam at the end.
- Well done to Cara Maria as she earned that win. But ugh Killer Kam.... so sad to see Mama Kam go out like this. She was classy in her exit and with congratulating Cara. OMGG the scene of Leroy running to Kam with "The Power of Love" playing in the background. lmaoo I love it. Okay maybe this scene got to me and all of their closing words of "win this for me" and their baby mentions... alll touched my heart.
- Well I hope Leroy can do it without Kam.
- LOL I can't even listen to Laurel's last confessional without rolling my eyes. I'm so mad at her right now. Though don't worry, I'm sure I'll be stanning and rooting for her next week, or the next girl's elimination episode, as she is still one of my overall favorites. But I am in my feelings now.

Preach at all of these Kam comments. Completely agree with all of this!  I love how much of a risk taker she is compared to everyone else. So glad she returned to do this season and hope to get to see her come back.  

 

Lmaoo yess, this part too. I'm kinda annoyed with this being the Cara Maria show.  I do enjoy her at times and feel bad for her at other times. But yeah she's taking up too much airtime and it's not fun (for me).

I am 100% here for the Cara Maria show. She has carried this season so far and I hope she takes the victory at the end.

 

I’m not on the Kam train like the rest of you. She’s far too overbearing for me and I don’t think her ego is warranted as she hasn’t done that great since her first couple of seasons. She hasn’t lived up to them since. Leroy will forever be one of the most boring people on this show. He hides behind Kam’s shadow most of the time and just isn’t that good.

 

Nicole and Laurel can go now. I was a huge Laurel fan a few seasons ago but she’s become so caught up in the Nicole relationship that she’s become intolerable. I agree that the elimination wasn’t for her as she’s tall but she needs to close her mouth when she’s promising a big move if that’s the case.

I really enjoyed Laurel prior to this season, despite some otherwise shitty moments (like her interaction with Big Easy).  But she's really unlikable this season.

Kam's last season was Double Agents which she ran politically and came in second place. Easily one of her best showings.

Laurel is very unlikable, but like...it's Laurel. This is who she's always been. In her Challenge career she's called Big Easy an obese piece of shit, called Paula an alcoholic loser, bragged about an elimination she lost vs. Ninja, ruthlessly tortured Cara Maria across multiple seasons. I think it's easy to look the other way with Laurel when she's picking on someone you don't like, but Laurel has never changed. You just gotta take her or leave her. Personally, I think Laurel is one of the most psychologically fascinating basketcases to do reality television and I'm riveted by her every single season.

 

Would it be nice to see Laurel grow up a bit for her own sake? Sure. But then she'd be like every other jacked bore on this show lol (i.e. Kaycee)

100%. I was more referring to the Laurel and Nicole relationship. I can’t bear them together. When she’s away from her I can embrace how much of a basketcase she is.

I flip flop with Cara Maria. Love that she’s such a Lone Ranger and isn't scared to go against anyone. Hate when she plays with Paulie and some others.

 

I think I’m just enjoying Cara being Cara this season. I haven’t done that in a while.

Cara Maria is so unlikable she only works from an underdog position. And even then it’s a maybe. Look, I’ll always be the first to give Cara Maria her flowers. She hasn’t missed a final since Invasion (and she’s looking to be on her way to making one again). She started off as a flop first boot. She’s survived multiples abusive relationships on this show (if we’re counting Laurel which I lowkey am on a different level from Abram lol). Cara Maria will always have my respect on this show. But she will never have my stan card because I find her so damn annoying, whiny, and unlikable to watch

Whew, that final Adam confessional. As much as I love to see growth, I also love to see these people's old personalities sneak through there. That was Gauntlet-era Adam reading Steve to filth there. The way he was so deadpan was the scariest part of that confessional. But I love that these old men are delivering lol. These young guys could nevah! Definitely makes Adam & Steve both getting cast on All-Stars 5 make a lot more sense.

 

Jay's decision here definitely made Laurel look better last week. You can't just throw yourself into an elimination you know you're likely gonna lose. I appreciate Jay going for it, but with his swimming troubles and color-blindness, why the hell would you do that elimination?!

 

Ryan came out of this looking bad too. Jay seems like his ideal elimination pairing and I'm not sure he's gonna find a better opportunity. With Laurel, you can excuse it because I'd put my money on her over Avery and/or Flora any day of the week. I don't think Ryan's f*cked. I think any of Ryan, Adam, or Derek could win depending on whatever the twist will be. But he had a better chance against Jay.

That was a bad call by Jay.  Also Adam is a loser.  2-3 people talking about finding a way to get an extra star this episode, will there be another in play next time?  

 

Derek is the only guy left that I want to have a star, the rest (mostly Adaam) can leave.

Just watched this week's episode.

 

- Ugh that intro was just so heartbreaking to see - just to see the downfall of Kam.
- Lol I loved Derek's comments on what he would want to do with the prize money with Ryan if he won the money.
- Lol it's so funny seeing how much people sucked on this lasso challenge.
- Wow at Jay gaining all of the momentum in the main challenge and ending up winning. Well done to him there.
- LOL What happened to Ace? Here I thought he was going to win but alas.
- Good on Laurel winning for the girls side, though it doesn't matter for the girls this episode.
- Not sure why Derek fought hard to be in the middle of the group rather than the bottom group as he can't fight for his star.
- Ugh Leroy finding himself in the bottom group. Kam didn't get out of the game for this. He better find a way to keep that star!
- Okay so it's supposed to be Jay vs. Ryan. Let's see if this will actually go down. I'm weary after last week but let's see how this goes.
- LMAO Why is this Steve scene talking about his shower needed for this episode? are they really this low on content on the men's elimination day? Okay fast forwarding through to the next few minutes, I guess I get why this scene was needed.  
- Oh dear, now Ryan wants to avoid elimination. Ughh. UGH Why is everyone so scared to get their star?
- Ace is such a mess with this vote, omg. But awww he's such a pure heart. Then again, I would so be him in that situation as I wouldn't want to see either name if I was in that same situation.
- Aww I do lowkey kinda feel bad for Steve being put into the elimination once again. Though I've been a Leroy fan for years so I just gotta hope Jay takes his spot for the elimination and battles against Steve.
- Oh phew, Jay scared me in thinking he would chicken out. But I am so glad that he's going to do the elimination and that he took Leroy's spot. Even though uh oh, this does not seem like an elimination in his favor. But I appreciate him doing this as a risk taker to earn his star.
- Lol oh dear now Ryan even rooting against Jay to go, even though I get the reasoning for it.
- Ahhh wow Jay ended up losing that elimination. That's a tough loss on him there. Even though that was an elimination against him, he still gave it a strong and solid effort. I came into this not looking forward to him with how his first (and only) season went, but he earned his redemption and played hard and well for the most part. So well done to him redeeming himself. And now I wouldn't be against seeing him again.
- Well done to Steve on winning his third elimination. LOL Steve taking Adam's star and giving it to Ace, lmaoo.
- Oooh danggg at Adam's heated message to Steve! I get him being mad but he should have saw it coming with him voting Steve into elimination to protect his own star. It's that karma that went back to bite him in the butt. Definitely an ugly side of him there.

Flora just not doing the purge That's mother . She just got the second easiest paycheck ever, I have to stan. Veronica got the easiest paycheck this season. Making the final without doing a single elimination on a star season <33333333333

 

The final seems pretty equitable so far. Having someone like Veronica compete against Laurel, Cara Maria, and Nicole is just insanity lol. So I'm okay with a final full of carnival games. If Veronica manages to stumble her way into even a top three finish I'll shriek.

 

Kinda shocked Derek or Laurel are gonna leave first. I think Laurel's done. The edit has not been kind on her and it feels like she's gonna get hit with "her head was never in it this season" confessionals. I prefer Laurel in general, but I've enjoyed Derek this season so I'll be happy for whoever survives.
