They also explained how the format will work this year (too fast like always).

 

Blind Auditions: 12 per team, each coach has 1 block and also an Ultimate Block which allows them to block all of their fellow coaches and ensure the contestant joins their team.

 

Battle Rounds: Contestants face off in pairs and only 1 can be chosen. Coaches will be given the power to save one artist.

 

Knockouts: The teams will go from 7 to 2. Separated in three groups (with 2 or 3 people each), they will sing individual songs based on a theme. The coach chooses one from each group, and the 3 winners face off in a final Showdown with a song of their choice resulting in two artists progressing to the Semi-Final.

 

After that, the Semifinals goes from 8 to 4, and on the Grand Finale the winner is revealed.

7 to 2 is brutal. The Voice Australia always has a way to speed up all things and eliminate contestants too fast since it's move to Seven. But it's the first season in 5 years to have The Battles (wish they brought back the steals though)
