Nobody was beating GNT, and Mara or Ruby wouldn't be strong enough to take out Bryce.

 

Mara hardly had any moments and relied on sheer vocal abilities to get through(like Omar if you compare)

And I really don't mean to come across as a b****(Because I feel like it) but Ruby wasn't ready for the show, at best I could see her 4th for S22, and a Semis elimination in S21.

I think Ruby could win against Bryce honestly like what if they bussed Bryce by giving him Wrecking Ball or the song Baby? I doubt Minivan would go for those songs lol or vote for him if he gets bussed hard and Ruby getting massive pimpage if they were on the same season especially if she sang Long Long Time in the finale or Desperado and Bryce getting the pop songs or imagine Bryce getting a Britney Spears Work song.

I honestly think Ruby could’ve beaten Bryce? Idk I think they both had the minivan appeal and chose pretty good songs for them even if they didn’t always nail it. (I’m not a fan of either btw)

This. While I agree that Bryce sucks and shouldn't have won against anyone really there is no way Ruby was beating him if these 2 couldn't do it.

GNT not only had the minivan appeal, but they also had the casuals behind them, like Huntley. So yeah, neither Ruby nor Mara could have beaten them.

 

Bryce just had such a huge support from the minivan that it was next to impossible to dethrone him. So the answer is NO in this case as well.

There's a slim chance that Ruby would have beaten Bryce under Blake's hand, so I voted that one. But she would have never have beaten GNT. 
Mara is a solid No for both. She did not have enough Minival or Casual appeal to overtake either of them.

No, but not sure why Morgan is being used as some kind of standard in this thread. She had a very messy run tbh. If she was plopped into this season and gave the same performances she did during her original season, I don't think she would have won tbh.

i think she had a better live run than ruby, and she has more core demo appeal than mara, so she’s a useful comparison point for that i think.

Not sure why you replied then lol. 

 

Anyway, the comparison would only make sense if she lost out after a flawless run on the show. I haven't seen a single Ruby performance so can't comment on that.

It was just an opportunity to take a cheap shot at Morgan, even though he doesn’t have enough information to weigh in on the poll question.

I think Morgan and Wendy shouldn't be used as examples because it's not that they're vote magnets, who came so close to beating their opponents but couldn't. It's simply not true. GNT and Bryce were very much ahead of them.

 

But Compare Morgan's run to this season's contestants (or to anyone in season 23, or even s22 imo), I would put her at #1. That's not saying Huntley, Ruby, Mara, Jacquie were bad, just that the quality of Morgan's live performances was next level. Yes TEOTH wasn't good, but that's just one performance. We can't ignore her other performances. 

 

And again, I really love Ruby, Huntley, and Mara. I enjoyed their runs very much, and was glad that my top 3 was the last 3 standing on the stage.

Regardless of what you think of Morgan's run, how can you say the bolded when you admit you haven't seen ruby's performances...have you not watched the current season?

A think a lot of people are forgetting how dominant Bryce’s Facebook numbers were in the lives. He’s basically a prototype of the perfect minivan bait contestant. I don’t think Huntley could have challenged him, let alone Ruby. 
 

If they thought Ruby had a chance to beat Huntley, they could have given her classic country songs and put her in the pimp spot, but I suspect it wasn’t close enough for that to work.

This was honesty my point lol. I don't doubt her run was stronger than Ruby, but it wasn't exactly flawless. It's not even the quality of her performance, but she went from singing Beyonce one week to Lady Gaga the next. She wasn't exactly playing to the audience. Add in that she was an older female contestant, it doesn't make sense that she was being used as some kind of bench mark.  Had she put up a flawless run and then came close but still lost, I would maybe understand those post, but that is literally not the case. 

 

She is literally my favorite from that season, check my post history but don't need to prove anything. Not sure why it needed to be me "taking a cheap shot at Morgan." If I took Morgan's run and put it up against Huntley, I still think she would have lost.

I watched half of "Take Me Home, Country Roads" and she was off pitch. I mean I've been constantly reading variations of "she was too young,  "she wasn't ready," and "she was disappointing" on here over the last week so I inferred that she probably would've lost up against GNT and Bryce. My bad for doing that
