Niall was great last season but he's even BETTER this season. He's funny, charming, provides so much insight and knowledge and gives really solid pitches. Is he the GOAT coach and is he better than Blake? I'd say he definitely has potential to be depending on how the rest of the season goes.

Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson would be my top 2 favorite coaches but I decided to give Niall the vote because I think he's an awesome coach and my favorite male coach of all time. He's really charming, cute, hilarious, and gives great pitches.

He's great. I like him more than any female coach and any other male coach except Blake and Adam, or maybe John.

Same, Niall/Blake/Adam are my top 3 overall and I also really like Kelly, Camila and Ariana

I like Niall a lot, but personally I don’t think you can call anyone the GOAT two seasons into a gig. For example, I think Blake was much more excited and engaged in earlier seasons than he was in more recent seasons, which makes sense, and also makes it harder to compare the two. It’s hard to maintain any freshness after awhile. Niall is still new to the audience and to the gig. He’s clearly a more natural fit for the role than a lot of others, though.

Agree with this.

Blake was quite passionate during the prime period of the show (season 3-13). Love him or hate him, you have to admit he's a superior coach when it comes to country artists or song selection, even though he did struggle with picking modern songs sometimes. And he gave a good father/husband vibe - so good a figure that it remained unchanged even when his wife was also on set.

Niall, on the other hand gives a perfect son-in-law figure, he is charming and cute but let's not forget that he would not have won had TPTB not bussing team Blake that hard in the finale last season. He is indeed a better coach comparing to other younger coaches (Miley, Nick, Camila, Chance) but it's still too early to say he's better than Blake, like you can't compare 2 to 23.

John was great in his first season and started the following season really strong just like Niall so I think it’s too early to tell (ftr I don’t think John is a bad coach, he’s decent, but it’s clear I’m in the minority)

For my money, the best coach we've ever had on the show, just counting on how they handled their team ain't Kelly. It's between Alicia and Usher.

FWIW, Kelly did great on her first season, but Alicia did a better job as a coach. Adam and Blake both sleepwalked, the only difference is Blake actually had success lol.

Yes, exactly. Blake set up the standard, and Kelly managed to meet up to that standard (idk if i used that expression correctly lol). I personally would consider to give the title of the GOAT to another coach only if they achieve the same thing. Kelly already proved that it's possible.

Kelly proved that winning 3 seasons in a row is possible, and even with someone like Jermaine? WOW! She's definitely the GOAT then.

I  never tried to imply Kelly was the GOAT. I said that for me, to even consider someone as candidate for the "GOAT" they need at the very least achieve a portion of what Blake did, like winning three out of his first four seasons (because yes, i'm implying that Blake is the GOAT). Kelly managed to do that, which, for me, gives her at least a runner-up spot in that matter.

Niall is on a good track, he already won his first season, but saying that he is the GOAT is still a little far-fetched in my opinion.

(Ignore my answer in the poll, i barely read these with attention lol)

I think Blake was a good coach, but at some point, probably around S4, he realized that he didnt really have to do much to get someone in the finale or get them a win. It was clear the audience loved both country music and him.

And since that, even though he carried the show either with Adam or Kelly (Miley and JHud too, in their brief tenours), on the entertainment aspect, he pretty much just laid back and let the votes pour in every time. And he was mentally checked out in S22's blinds, for sure lol.

Niall is great as a coach on The Voice. But as others have said, it's far too early to judge how Niall compares to Blake.

Blake set the bar for being authentic, warm, encouraging, and funny. He was not only helpful to his team members during their season but also after their season ended. Even after leaving the show, he has continued helping some contestants.
