All the people that want all the country singers gone are funny to me though. Because if all the country singers and coaches left the show, the show would  just get cancelled because of poor ratings so be careful what you ask for. :dead:

I don't think I would be heartbroken to be honest :dead:

I wouldn't be either. I just use it to discover new artists and I could find that in other places so it wouldn't effect me much.

Next season will be hard to predict, we don't know how many country singers we will have but at least for now, the country coach is not as famous as Blake or Reba to Minivans. Hope the ratings doesn't drop too much.

There are some country singers on the season. How well they do I don't know but the season definitely has some.

Even female country singers (powerhouse type or not), who are mostly positive to IDF (some of them are IDF it-girl) can be gone from The Voice then :dead: it's like The Voice is missing an important genre for the main demographics, they can cry about no country artists and it's what they deserve, so they move to The Road to watch.

At this point the show getting cancelled wouldn't make me too upset lol, it's absolutely flailing with the horrible format and poor production choices. I do like singing shows though so I hope something better would come along.

Y'all should try out Youth icon and Mizo Idol if you're interested in hearing other people from other places besides US,UK,AU,etc. The former ended not too long ago and we all adore our winner Taitea. He's a very versatile singer with a very high range which he excels at. He's got great guitar skills too

Shameless plug🤭is that the saying? 😂

Country singers will still audition for The Voice (And American Idol). The Blake's show is gonna have limited spaces and probably one season per year, and i don't think the format is gonna be much better than The Voice's, tbh.

And about the show getting cancelled, i wish i could say the same as y'all but i'm always looking forward for another season every March and September lol. I'm so invested on this show, it's hard to imagine a live without it. (Obviously is gonna end one day and it's fine but as long as is still watchable unlike The Voice UK, i'll still be interested on it)

Not gonna lie, s25 KOs and battles are looking real good next to this season.. and that's despite strong contestants not performing cause of the PO pass.

I've been checking periodically for news on Amazon's efforts to sell off MGM Alternative, its company that owns TVUS. I think @Dany first mentioned the potential sale.

I found nothing new since the August announcement that Amazon was seeking buyers. There is this interesting bit in the Deadline story that quickly followed the announcement -

"Deadline understands that the tech giant has received a number of proposals from potential buyers. There was understood to be one inquiry toward the end of last year as well as a more recent approach, which has sparked renewed talks over a deal.

"It’s not certain that Amazon would sell the division as a deal might not materialize. Insiders said that the division . . . is profitable."

https://deadline.com/2024/08/amazon-in-talks-to-sell-mgm-alternative-the-voice-vanderpump-rules-1235804252/

Things may be quiet for a long time yet. If they're moving toward a deal, they'll be dealing with all kinds of bankers and attorneys, even after they reach any tentative deal with a buyer.  If all talks end, we may never hear about it.

I'm hoping there's a buyer on the horizon who sees some longer term potential and won't just keep cutting. Seems we're pretty close to the bone already.

But who knows? Nothing may change. Sorry if that seems too gloomy @Teraginn. But there's room for hope until there's not.

I'm not sure where else to post this, so I'll post it here.

I just discovered Reneé Rapp follows Jeremy Beloate on Instagram, and as a massive Reneé Rapp fan, that is just way too cool for me to wrap my head around 🥰

YouTube recommendation recommended me this one.

Basically on the night she was eliminated, TPTB wanted her to stay for one more week to perform in group. But little did she know that it was for the promotional Barbie film, she was forced to wear pink, and do some choreography, which felt really awkward and uncomfortable for her because she proclaimed herself to be "The Woman in Black", she wore black the whole time during her run on the show and she just performed "I Don't Dance". Eventually she got out of her comfort zone and just accepted it.

If I were her I'd have felt really ashamed too, but kudos to her bravery. She looked pretty nice in pink too.
