Would Morgan Wallen or Jason Aldean be able to fit the country spot or are they too controversialΒ

I would think too controversial and imo neither has the personality to be an adequate fill in for BlakeΒ

Anyone who wants Meghan Trainor as a coach has clearly never watched The Four. One of the most unfair and biased judges on any singing competition, she’d be reckless enough to pull a Robegate part 2.

not only was she horrible on the four she was on the voice uk 9 and picked the most horrible songs for each of her contestants

The main audience wouldn't care about them, i'm sure they hold the same "values" as them, so on the contrary, they are gonna love them.Β

Β

But, the outrage on social media (other than Facebook) would be HUGE (and rightfully so). So, i don't think they are even on consideration. But who knows. I personally would stop watching if one of the becomes a coach on the show. I'll just find better ways to waste my time

Hot take: I don’t think I care about who the coaches are??Β :ph34rwave:Β  At this point I’m sick of the coach banter so now I just skip it and only focus on the contestants and their performances.

Β

Like, if the coach panel was DJ Khaled/Morgan Wallen/Bebe Rexha/Nicki Minaj, but the cast was as good as S5 or S13, I would be down for it.

I mostly agree with this, but I think it will be harder to maintain its audience without certain coach dynamics.Β

I'm sure a portion of the viewers would agree with your hot take. But for other people, the coach interaction (amongst themselves, with guest mentors, and with their team members) is one reason they watch The Voice.

She was unnecessarily hating on deserving contestants cause she was afraid they would defeat her TCO, one of them ultimately did (was voted through by the audience) and she had a meltdown like a spoiled child who didn't get what she wanted, she let her personal animosity towards Jason Warrior (I mean he had a major attitude but still) get in the way and she was always rooting fom anyone against him even when he had the stronger performance, she would pick anyone with average vocals but dAncE mOvEs, and she had the audacity to say "I know X is the best singer we've ever heard but I can see Y's visuals, I see her tour looks".

Niall made a post about his summer tour dates. Based on the typical filming schedule, it doesn’t appear to conflict with filming of S24. I’m expecting it at this point given how he has been presented on the show, the audience seems to he like him, he seems to enjoy it, and I’m assuming it’s a good paycheck for him.Β

My only concern is he might be very into tour mode at that point to the point he’d wanna take those weeks end of June off, or to practice for his beginning of his July show rather than tape s24.

Β

I mean it’s possible but I don’t see him returning right away

Yeah, I mean he would have to really want to do S24 and make it work, but I’m not convinced he doesn’t want to.Β
Β

Also, I think they are mainly (all?) festival shows, which tend to be less involved for the artists.Β

I agree that Niall appears to enjoy the coach job, and I wouldn't mind him returning next season. His charming and amusing on-camera personality seems authentic. In my opinion, he's a better fit for reality television than Nick Jonas is.

Seems to be a really flexible schedule, and they're just festival spots. A lot less commitment and unless he plans more shows or a tour in between, I actually think this could be potential for his return.

Β

And that being said, Niall and Chance are 100% my favorite new coaches we've had from over the past few seasons, so I'd love to see either or both return πŸ™‚

I agree about the coach banter in that it's very scripted and inauthentic to me, so I usually skip it as well.

Β

However, I think how the coach reacts as the artist performs can influence my enjoyment of a performance. Like, in Season 22, I remember seeing a lot of comments along the lines of "If Kelly were here, she would be getting into the performance."

Β

Also, I'm not sure how much of a role coaches play in pairing artists together, but I'd prefer a coach who can create good pairings to make the most of their artists.
