Did anybody hear about the scripted tv writers strike? Is it possible they supersize this season to fill in the time, since this isn’t scripted tv?

I was afraid it would affect the voice since they do have writers but I guess not. Talk shows are shutting down, that will stop Kelly's show right? I heard it's supposed to last about 4 months

I think only nighttime shows have been announced to be affected, not Kelly or JHud’s shows

Pretty sure The Voice does have writers, but I assume they would just forgo those segments (i.e. skits etc., which I don’t think anyone here would mind) 

 

It effects late night talk shows with opening monologues, but I think daytime talk shows like Kelly’s will still be in production.

Edit: I just read Kelly’s show also shut down omg!!!! She’s probably coming back for this season then.

Decisions for S24 coaches have for sure already been made so this won’t change it. 
 

I don’t see it affecting shows like Kelly’s as much because she was only filming a few more eps before shutting down for the summer and they don’t need to do a whole lot of preproduction for the fall tapings to air.

Probably affecting the NYC move rumour though, since that was thought of with respect to Kelly being busy filming her show?

Kelly was going to be off from filming her show all summer regardless. We will see how long it lasts, but I still think all those decisions have already been made.

I figured hers would shut down also, they are all supporting the writers 

Maybe this will make a difference in whether she comes back or not, but I thought they already had a panel picked out by now
