Two things surprise me about this.

1. That they would perform such an obscure song on the show.

2. A source actually remembered it.

Noah Spencer - Where Rainbows Never Die (The SteelDrivers)

That's a damn good song choice. I havent checked Noah much but that definitely intrigues me.

And it seems we have two fresh Stapleton songs in these KOs.

I’m not saying it’s not a good choice. I mean…I didn’t even know the song. The song doesn’t even have a Wikipedia page. :haha:

It's from the second Steeldrivers album, back when Stapleton was doing bluegrass. Indeed, a first for the show, never even crossed my mind that someone would perform it. If anything, "If It Hadn't been for Love" would have been the popular choice for this band.

I thought it was a good choice also, "Genres: Pop, Rock, Folk", they made it work pretty well

yeah…just to clarify, I wasn’t being critical of the choice. It’s just that they don’t usually perform obscure songs like that one, and it is a bit surprising that the source remembered the name of the band and the title.

Yeah, it´s still surprising to me. I´m hoping this opens the door to more of their songs being performed in the future. As is the case with Stapleton´s music, it´s quality material.
