I am surprised by my own picks. I voted for the the team with the most number of live contestants that I thought are memorable and did good.

 

First era -- Usher had the strongest first team. All 4 playoff contestants are very good and memorable.

 

Middle era -- I voted for Gwen! She edged out Kelly with 4 playoff contenders vs 3 that I thought were good and memorable.

 

Recent era -- I voted for Nick. It is is a tie between Nick and Niall in terms of number of good and memorable playoff contenders (4). But Nick's first team is slightly stronger with Thunderstorm who I think is the best artist in this era. It's unfortunate that he was in a very short season.
