Favourite genre represented on The Voice

So out of all the genres that have been represented on the voice, what is IDFs favourite?

 

Let me know if I'm missing any. This genre and subgenre stuff can get pretty unclear and there's lots of overlap.

Voted for indie, but I'm not sure I have that strong of a preference? Maybe I'm just not aware of it...

 

It was between that and R&B/soul because I feel like the latter has a lot of interesting voices and really strong vocalists even though I'd listen to indie way more outside of The Voice. But then again, we've had great powerhouses that aren't necessarily R&B/soul so idk.

 

I feel like rock could be more of a contender for me if we got more song choices like R U Mine, the ones we have get so overdone although I guess that's true of the other genres too? Maybe I just don't like those songs as much lol

Wait I suppose I should clarify, is everyone picking based on the genre in general or what songs from said genre have been shown on the voice?

 

I feel like I prefer the rnb/soul songs covered on the voice more than from any other genre. But speaking in general, I listen to indie and rock more than Rnb/soul. (Although that may be changing.)

I mean I picked based on the actual performances, so like if there was a song I don’t like but there were some good performances of it, then I’d consider that

 

Basically I read the question as “when you watch TV, what genre singers do you generally gravitate to” (which may be different from most listened outside the show)

 

That being said my answer would’ve been the same either way lol

Pop.

 

I listen to it the most. My all time fav contestant was a pop singer as well.

I had to go with Rnb/Soul for obvious reasons. Indie is definitely second even though some of them are more solid than others.

 

Pop contestants are refreshing but they have to be great, bonus points if they are powerhouses (Gymani, Kelsie Watts, Lindsay Joan)
