Best Performance Of All Time By A Blake Winner

After all the polls I made some time ago regarding Blake winners, it's time to finally add the most voted performances into one Poll. (Although some winners rarely got any votes but it wouldn't feel right not including them..)

 

Since there are so many great performances that garnered lots of votes in previous polls Please, If your choice is not on the poll, choose the other option and mention the performance. I will count the mentions excluded performances get and add it into the OP. Consider it part of the poll.

And for fun. If you want to make a list (top 3, 5, whatever) of your top Blake winner performances of all time or rank the Blake winners, go ahead..

 

My top 5 performances by a Blake winner..

 

1. Chloe Kohanski - Landslide

Easy choice for me tbh, after this though it's hard.

 

2. Sundance Head - At Last

Really love his countrified take on this song, soaring vocals, the arrangement is great.

 

3. Jermaine Paul - I believe I can fly

Dude sung like he was preaching. Might be the most passionate performance I've ever seen on the show..

 

4. Cam Anthony - so hard to say goodbye

The confidence it takes to sing nearly the entire song virtually acapella? And dude was still pitch perfect. I think this was his most tasteful performance. I liked all his run placements.

 

5. Cassadee Pope - over you.

Not much needs to be said here, great performance

 

 

And ranking the Blake winners overall run

 

1. Cam Anthony

Feel like he was the only one who was great from start to finish, and was one of the best every round.

 

2. Chloe Kohanski.

Most unique of the Blake winners. 

 

3. Craig Wayne Boyd.

Great vocalist, arguably best male country singer this show has had

 

4. Sundance Head

See above, but I thought Sundance was a bit too safe and boring at times so have him lower.

 

5. Todd Tilghman

Was always solid just like the 2 above him. But he did it in a shortened non live season, and I don't think he peaked as high as anyone above him.

 

Danielle Bradbery

Very consistent, but a few performances of hers showed her inexperience and rawness. The ones above her didn't have that issue.

 

7. Cassadee Pope

Yeah, she peaked higher than a few above her, but her earlier performances are to put it simply, some of the worst I've heard from any winner and even then, it took her a while to become great on the show.

 

8. Bryce Leatherwood.

Half of his run was mediocre. But at least he was on pitch for most of it and had a few genuinely great performances sprinkled on.

 

9. Jermaine Paul.

Very short run and a lot of his vocals were simply messy. Only really liked 2 performances of his.

Landslide is still definitely the best but honorable mentions to Over You, At Last, and I Walk The Line.

Favorites out of these: (I’m too lazy to remember and rank the rest)

 

1. Cassadee - Over You

2. Craig - I Walk the Line

3. Cam - Stand Up

4. Chloe - Total Eclipse

5. Sundance - At Last

6. Cam - Feeling Good

 

Top 2 is pretty set, rest could fluctuate depending on what I’m feeling (giving live performances a little more slack but if I’m just judging based on how it sounded, Cam’s KO could def be higher)

 

Tbh I voted for Danielle on consistency but then realized I didn’t really love any of her performances so now I’d probably say:

 

1. Cam (even with a short run, the strongest here imo)

2. Craig (I’d call those 2 performances all timers and his KO and PO were also very good, but not #1 because a few performances I didn’t really care for)

3. Cassadee (definitely rough moments, but I really liked most of what she did live)

4. Chloe (loved some performances by her, but a few too many duds or at least boring performances to be higher, like the PO, Thank You and Bette Davis)

5. Sundance (nice run, took some great risks although I’m not sure if they all paid off)

6. Danielle (pretty consistent but her run kinda blended together)

7. Todd (good vocalist but overall kinda blah for me and the remote setting didn’t help)

8. Jermaine (not for me)

9. Bryce (only liked TROUBLE, rest is a hard pass)
