Thought this would be an interesting poll since they were the 2 unanimous choices for best blake contestant to not make the finale.

Just to clarify the poll options.

POLL 1: strictly talking about who is better on a technical level in your opinion. I'm guessing most will go with Sissuandra but I don't think it's clear cut at all.

POLL 2: who did you actually like better. Maybe being the better vocalist is enough to like a contestant better. But thats not the case for everyone, genre, tone, emotion etc. Whatever criteria comes into mind.

POLL 3: I think is self explanatory

Here are their performances in order.

Keisha

1. In terms of pure technical ability I don't feel qualified to answer lol, but I enjoyed more what Sisaundra did with her voice in terms of runs, vocal choices etc? So I'm going with her even though I don't think that's exactly what you were asking lol

2. Gonna be honest I was really surprised how much Keisha is liked here? I don't really enjoy her vocal approach to songs that are often better left simpler imo. Made a lengthier post in another thread but yeah she may just be one of those that I don't "get". Song choices could play a role too but idk considering I didn't feel much differently about her non country performances overall.

3. Only Keisha performance that comes close to the Sisaundra ones is Love Can Build a Bridge imo :stealth: possibly her KO but I have to relisten - EDIT but also realized I didn't answer the question lol so it's Oh Sherrie for me

EDIT 2: Ok nope, I have the same complaint about Keisha's KO :stealth:

It's OK, none of us are lmao.

I'm not sure who I would pick either.

Idk how to explain, just in terms of vocal ability who does the more impressive, difficult stuff?

Sissuandra is imo a stronger better but Keisha is a bit more agile.

Vocal choices I'd say you could argue can be used as criteria for better vocalist. Like when to or not to do things, coming up with vocal choices others wouldnt is also a sign of a higher level of musicianship I suppose? But it's probably largely a personal preference too. Idk, I'm no expert either.

I do think she overdid it with runs sometimes. I thought her PO and KO were a really good blend of country and RNB though, probably my favorites from her.

Oh sherrie? That's pretty unpopular I think.

Yeah I thought her tone worked really well on the Lee Ann song but it’s just all those runs she was doing distracted from it imo. May also be that I just don’t like the “cleaner” powerhouses nearly as much? That’s totally a personal preference thing but I think grit is more interesting plus when singers like Keisha or Wendy hit high notes it often sounds shrill to me even if I know they hit it perfectly. (Wendy was the first example of a “clean” powerhouse that came to mind but I’m sure there are others)

Her BA is close. The other song choices like she slayed it but I felt were more overdone, and as good as she was on those battles a battle would very rarely if ever be my top pick.

Oh Sherrie was something new and actually genius for Blake to do as a coach (gotta give him credit once in a while lol), as I remember it’s not like she was doing all these crazy runs and stuff but she stuck to the melody and gave it pure power which to me is what that song asked for. It could even be my pick for top performance of the season (a few other big contenders though)

It's hard to pick between these two powerhouse vocalists because I like both of them.

Sisaundra is definitely the better vocalist, however I slightly preferred Keisha just because "All by Myself" happened.

Yeah i think Sissuandra is the most powerful belter ever on the show.

Would have been interesting to hear Sissuandra sing Celine. She was her backing vocalist, vocal director and choreographer for Celine after all.

Lol I voted for Sisaundra's Ain't No Way, but I don't know what happend after that, I can't see my vote there

Oh I had to remove the question and completely redo the poll, there was a glitch were not all the edits would go through.

It's OK, we all know you would pick literally any sissuandra performance before even considering choosing Keisha.

So yeah after relistening to Sissaundra's run, no denying she's the better vocalist. Her voice is so professional, just has a classic feel to it and sounds like someone that should have been a famous soul singer.

But I still prefer Keisha.. I think she's the more unique, interesting contestant tonally and style wise. I've yet to hear a country/rnb soul blend done better on a singing competition, and her voice just has a sincerity to it if that makes sense?

I also think she has my favourite performance out of the two. I felt the emotion during parts of Sissuandra's covers. But I felt it throughout with Keisha's PO and even her KO (I'd say her semifinal too but that was a bit rough vocally compared to her usual standard). I know that's largely subjective though

Oh Sherrie (pretty underrated; and Omar from S22 would have slayed this!)

Liked Keisha too
