At first Matt was just an 8 but I had to bump him up after hearing everyone else lol.

I actually bumped up Elise, Oliver and Matt lol

I do think I might’ve rated Iam too low but I’ll relisten, it was good I just can’t see it being one that I’ll remember.

Forgot to specify this in the OP:

Both Sunday and Monday ratings are due Saturday @11:59 PM EST. I didn't want anyone to feel like they had to rush to get in their ratings before the Monday episode begins. You can choose to submit ratings after each episode, or submit ratings for both episodes together! 🙂

Bc it was worse that what I’m used to seeing on TV lol, maybe I need some recalibration… (although tbf if you look at my ratings for that ep with Walker and ALI, I think they were comparably low)

Yeah and I mean these are live performances too.

Hopefully not. But I won't be surprised if we have live performances of similar quality for the voice this season..

Mariah Faith - You Should Probably Leave by Chris Stapleton - (I like this song but this was bad. She should be sent home.)

Yeah, she should probably leave the competition.

Haven Madison - The Middle by Zedd, Maren Morris, & Grey - 1 (she should have been eliminated after "Bird Set Free" tbh. IDK why she has to make it this far when Paige and Megan had to be in a sing-off. Hoping for her redemption though.)

yall are rating way harsher than what you do on TV lmao.

The talent difference is clear when you compare to the voice. The bar is singing in tune for AI....

The Voice's bar is not to be boring. Lmao.

Elise Kristine - Holding Out For A Hero by Bonnie Tyler - 5.5 (At this point in both the competition and the series' lifespan, being a good singer isn't enough – song choice and believability are so important, and as impressive as Elise's pipes are, she could not have chosen a more yoinky-sploinky-type song to cover, especially if she couldn't shred any of the cheese off.)

Oliver Steele - Better Together by Jack Johnson - 6.0 (Laid back, breezy, and a bit sleepy. Didn't really push the envelope at all, but at least he stayed in tune. Still, you don't want anyone's eyes to start glazing over mid-performance.)

Matt Wilson - Speechless by Dan + Shay - 7.0 (A really solid vocal with some fantastic runs and a spectacular tone on a song I simply did not care for in the slightest. His own investment in the lyric was clear, but his voice just isn't well-suited for these kinds of compositions, even though, in this case, I think he made it work.)

Kaeyra - Don’t Let Go (Love) by En Vogue - 6.8 (Again with the song choices. Kaeyra has a rock-solid instrument – she can't go wasting it on loungey reruns of songs you'd find under 600 of the "Compositions That Would've Gotten You to the Finals in Season 3" Jeopardy category.)

Pjae - Golden by Jill Scott - 5.3 (Good news: Showcased more stage presence, lyrical investment, and reckless abandon then anyone else who came before him, and chose probably one of the best songs of the night on paper. Bad news: It wouldn't have hurt for him to hit more than half of his notes. His body of work makes me wanna see him perform again, but the show clearly wants him gone – still impressive that he wasn't the worst of the night, though.)

Zachariah Smith - Lucille by Little Richard - 6.7 (I honestly have no idea what to say or how to grade this performance. I'd give him a solid 10 for stage presence and... maybe a 3 for the actual vocal? I deducted a single point every time he howled at the end of a word. Can't see he wasn't entertaining, though.)

Mariah Faith - You Should Probably Leave by Chris Stapleton - 5.0 (I think I would've liked this performance more if I could hear more than half of the vocal. Then again, the half I did hear was a song that was dragged through a nice thick pool of molasses. Two words: Lacking momentum. She deserved a better arrangement to suit her voice.)

Emma Busse - Lay Me Down by Sam Smith - 7.2 (Ten points for looking phenomenal, sounding phenomenal, and delivering her vocal with absolute conviction and believability! Now let's take two and a half away for the shapes her mouth made every time she sang a new word, and... maybe a third of a point away for a kinda creaky glory note. Still, probably the best vocal of the night so far – and did she not look stunning?)

Warren Peay - Set Fire To The Rain by Adele - 7.5 (Thank you, Warren, for bringing the type of creativity to the stage every single country boy in the show's history wishes they could bring to the stage like this. The fire could've been turned up a little brighter – and I still think he should've lost the hat – but a risk worth taking means a Top 20 worthy of Warren.)

Nailyah - Lovin’ You by Minnie Riperton - 7.7 (While I can't exactly smile and nod my head in response to any number of mildly unnecessary and ultimately showboaty whistle notes in a performance like this (see: Elise, Zachariah), I'd be lying if I said the rest of the performance wasn't pretty stellarly sung, if not a teensy bit dated. Bonus points for having the best song choice of the night.)

Haven Madison - The Middle by Zedd, Maren Morris, & Grey - 4.1 (Oh, dear...)

Lucy Love - What’s Love Got To Do With It? by Tina Turner -  4.6 (Personality? Through the roof. Conviction? In spades. Notes? Thrown out the window and into the nearest body of shark-infested waters. It says a little bit much when you can't even sing half of the song's last chorus at risk of being out of breath. Homegirl's in trouble.)

Iam Tongi - Don’t Let Go by SpawnBreezie - 8 (No one was more at ease on stage than Iam was last night, and it wasn't even because of home field advantage. Props for being able to sound so pristine and soothing without letting the energy drag, for a fantastic tone, and for choosing a pretty obscure tune to cover to begin with. He's a deserved frontrunner – easily the best of the night, at least next to...)

Allen Stone - Is This Love? by Bob Marley - 10 (What do you mean I can't grade him?)

Elise Kristine - Holding Out For A Hero by Bonnie Tyler - 7.  She had a good performance.

Oliver Steele - Better Together by Jack Johnson - 6.5.  Enjoyable but a little boring.

Matt Wilson - Speechless by Dan + Shay - 7.  Gets points for serenading his wife during his song.

Kaeyra - Don’t Let Go (Love) by En Vogue - 7.5.  She really worked the stage well.

Pjae - Golden by Jill Scott - 5.  Bye-bye.

Zachariah Smith - Lucille by Little Richard - 7.  He knows how to put on a show, but I found him spastic at times.

Mariah Faith - You Should Probably Leave by Chris Stapleton - 5.5.  Unfortunately, after that performance, she should probably leave.

Emma Busse - Lay Me Down by Sam Smith - 8.  Between her and Elise, she was better.

Warren Peay - Set Fire To The Rain by Adele - 7.  Definitely unexpected.

Nailyah - Lovin’ You by Minnie Riperton - 9.  She saved herself with that performance!

Haven Madison - The Middle by Zedd, Maren Morris, & Grey - 5.  A rather disjointed performance.

Lucy Love - What’s Love Got To Do With It? by Tina Turner -  6.  I've heard her do better.

Iam Tongi - Don’t Let Go by SpawnBreezie - 8.  Best of the guys.

Elijah McCormick - Good Vibes by Chris Janson - 2.5 (this was bad, .5 boost for a few good notes at the end)

Paige Anne - Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus - 5.5 (idk, I didn’t really care for this? feels like she lost control on some runs, and overused growls)

Marybeth Byrd - Heart Like a Truck by Lainey Wilson - 7 (beginning was a little rough, but she grew into it)

Wé Ani - Edge of Midnight by Miley Cyrus and Stevie Nicks - 9.25 (a few rough spots, but easy to forgive with how good it was overall)
Michael Williams - Tuesdays by Jake Scott - 8 (his tone is one of my favorites tbh, a few difficulties at the end but pretty negligible)

Dawson Wayne - Copycat by Billie Eillish - 7.5 (idk I liked this lol)

Hannah Nicolaisen - Glitter in the Air by P!nk - 6.5 (her tone and pronunciations bothered me, but technically I didn’t really hear issues)

Megan Danielle - The Chain by Fleetwood Mac - 8.25 (pretty good, the best I’ve heard her so far)

Malik Heard - Ain't It Fun by Paramore - 3 (bus maybe? but he could’ve at least sang it well…)

Olivia Soli - Emotions by Mariah Carey - 6.25 (oh no… was the key too high for her? whole thing felt kinda uncomfortable)

Colin Stough - Midnight Train to Memphis by Chris Stapleton - 5 (vocals were shaky)

Tyson Venegas - It Will Rain by Bruno Mars - 8.5 (this surprised me! strong vocals, the lyric change at the beginning kinda sent me though lol)

Nutsa - Paris (Ooh La La) by Grace Potter & The Nocturnals - 7.5 (she gave it everything, but a little inconsistent for me)

Elijah McCormick - Good Vibes by Chris Janson - (Wouldn't even mind if he goes home here. This was bad.)

Paige Anne - Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus - 5.5 (I was expecting this to be good, but it was not. Very uneven pitch all throughout.)

Marybeth Byrd - Heart Like a Truck by Lainey Wilson - 7 (Good start, but this dragged tbh.)

Wé Ani - Edge of Midnight by Miley Cyrus and Stevie Nicks - 8.75 (I love this song but it didn't highlight her tone. Vocals were great though.)
Michael Williams - Tuesdays by Jake Scott - (I had a feeling this would be good when I listened to the song choice. He flopped in Showstoppers but this should buy him another week)

Dawson Wayne - Copycat by Billie Eillish - (I'm glad this underrated bop was finally covered but I wish Dawson wasn't the one to do it.)

Hannah Nicolaisen - Glitter in the Air by P!nk - 6.5 (Oof you can definitely hear that she was sick. There are some great renditions of this song and this was way below par.)

Megan Danielle - The Chain by Fleetwood Mac - 7.75 (Her belts have improved since The Voice but I don't like how they sound. Enjoyed the low parts though.)

Malik Heard - Ain't It Fun by Paramore - 7 (Honestly, not that bad? There were issues but I enjoyed it.)

Olivia Soli - Emotions by Mariah Carey - (I thought this was solid too but she's not living up to her potential)

Colin Stough - Midnight Train to Memphis by Chris Stapleton - (LMAO this guy is NOT winning. Voters are biased to country but they have some standards.)

Tyson Venegas - It Will Rain by Bruno Mars - 7.75 (Glad he redeemed himself, I'm actually rooting for him.)

Nutsa - Paris (Ooh La La) by Grace Potter & The Nocturnals - (Nutsa continues to be cheesy and inconsistent vocally)
