I've decided to do a Ranking of all 40 successful blind auditions.

This comes with a disclaimer that my taste is different to others, so you might see me ranking some auditions where the vocalist might have been perfectly on pitch lower than someone who I connected to more. Totally subjective rankings and just for fun. 

 

Anyway, going to hopefully post the first 2 sets later tonight!

40. Alyssa Lazar 

Team: Chance

Chair Turn(s): 1 

Song: "Maybe I'm Amazed"

Reasoning: Poor Alyssa, we only got to hear literally 10 seconds of her performance. She sounded great during those 10 seconds but unfortunately it just wouldn't feel right to rank her above anyone else. The Voice did her dirty by making her the ONLY montage. And I still don't get why? So much unnecessary footage could've been replaced with her full performance. Her version got me interested too, such a shame. 

 

 

 

 

39. Chloe Abbott

Team: Chance

Chair Turn(s): 1

Song: "How Deep Is Your Love"

Reasoning: The athlete, Chloe comes in at #39. Chloe is super gorgeous and an impressive athlete. However, her audition didn't leave an impression on me. It was just kinda bland and boring and sleepy. I liked her song choice but after MaKenzie Thomas slayed this song, nobody should be covering it. I admire her for using her head voice but it just wasn't as pleasing to my ears unfortunately. 

 

 

38. Ray Uriel

Team: Chance

Chair Turn(s): 1

Song: "Glimpse of Us"

Reasoning: I swear I have nothing against Team Chance lmao they just so happen to be my bottom 3 auditions of the season. I do love Ray's tender voice, but I have to say that he started off well and then kinda lost me. It just started to sound a little shaky for me. He tried to use his falsetto but it just didn't sound that great to my ears. I feel he didn't really have any standout moments in this performance and I do blame it on the song choice. I do love his personality and wish he got to show more of that in his blind audition but maybe he will show it off in his battle. But yeah, for now, I'm not that impressed by Ray but I most definitely will be simping for him because he is a fine man.

 

 

 

37. Carlos Rising 

Team: Blake

Chair turn(s): 2

Song: "Change the World"

Reasoning: Ah, a non-Team Chance member! Imagine if the whole first set was Team Chance, lol. Anyways, as for Carlos, he has a soothing voice but it's just unfortunate that his audition just left me bored and he probably might be one of the more forgettable auditions for me unfortunately. It's just not one that sticks out to me, but hey, what do I know? He was able to turn Blake & Kelly so good for him. Excited to see him in the battles where hopefully I enjoy his tone more. It could be the song choice that just left me bored and not invested in his performance. With my rankings, I tend to factor in how many times I've listened to it and it's replay-worthiness. I wouldn't replay this performance, sorry Carlos. Just not my cup of tea.

I'd have Carlos a little higher and MAYYYYYBE Chloe (by like 5 spots lol) but other than that I agree with these!

Hehe I get it I was debating with Carlos but then ultimately I was like I'm not gonna listen to his BA again sooo yeah. And then Chloe, that song just needs to be banned.

I will say though that I am Indian so seeing another brown person a season after we had Parijita last season made me very happy!

My thoughts so far (I’m not going into much detail)

 

-Chloe is around where I would have her

-Ray would probably be in the next group for me, underwhelming audition

-Carlos would be around 25 for me. His audition was fine but forgettable

-Poor Alyssa being the only montage and with a song that I like

prob would’ve swapped Chloe and Ray and maybe put Alyssa above them but would have to relisten

 

wouldve put Carlos higher bc i like his song, but overall good start!

 

u will lose bestie status if Kylee is not top 4 though so be careful…

3. Contrary to their song choice, it is over for them in this Ranking.

Honestly Id have Carlos rising a bit higher if we're going purely by vocal ability (maybe around the 25th mark) There wasn't any vocal issues in his performance and it was smooth with a decent amount of technical skill.

 

But yeah I can't say his audition captivated me. He doesn't really standout in anyway.

 

He's like this seasons Joseph Soul. Capable, smooth sounding singer that fades out of memory for a lot of idf members.

 

I agree about the other 2. I'd have them near the bottom of my list as well.

Agree with your take on Carlos, very accurate. He’s good just not very memorable. 
 

yeah Chloe & Ray’s auditions were really underwhelming
