Yeah, I'd say these 3 had the most consistent runs along with being the best vocalists (on a technical level) in their respective seasons. Excluding ofc Maelyn for season 16 and maybe Kymberli for S15, though it's close between her and Makenzie

Underrated contestant tbh. Seems like he's solely known for the incident these days but he's a great vocalist.

 

Marybeth was probably my "snowflake" but in hindsight, I think I liked Myracle more anyway

Don't disagree. Though I am glad Matthew Johnson advanced either way. I think he gave one of the best live performances of the season in the PO before he was eliminated (though outside of Shawn and Maelyn, that's not saying much tbh..)

When I mentioned most consistent, I excluded Maelyn because this was for non-winners. Everybody already knows about her run, so people are more split on who deserved 2nd

I think Domenic deserved to win that as well and Matthew should have been Kelly’s save. He was good, but not as good as Domenic, and she ended up saving a contestant that I never liked

don't think it's close i think Kymberli was more consistent imo? Makenzie's belts sometimes sounded off. and also think Chevel was more consistent than both of them

Makenzie's belts were always the weakest part of her voice, but Kymberli did have vocal issues here and there as well.

 

I'd agree Chevel rarely had rough vocal moments and in that regard was the most consistent, but she wasn't doing the things Kymberli and Makenzie we're doing vocally.

I'm not anti-AI like some people here () but idk, I just can't get as interested in watching it as TV? Maybe once the live shows start... I will say Olivia's audition was crazy.

 

Also, didn't know @Hamza Tufail was a Mari stan! (or maybe just liked her most out of the choices, but either way)

I'd be happy with plenty of the S16 choices since so many people were robbed, but partial to Domenic, Mari and Presley.

Katie's BA was insane, I honestly don't think anyone topped it since (unpop?). I actually preferred her voice, but Rose definitely got the better deal when it came to song choice and overall run.

I would have still voted MaKenzie regardless. I preferred her run on Lives to Kymberli.

 

Honestly, S16 was the one where I care the least about who made it, since there are a lot of good choices.
 

S17 and S15 are the ones where I care more about the person being represented at some point (As someone who supported Kennedy over MaKenzie during the season, I think MaKenzie needs the redemption more)

I wanted to choose contestants whose runs were cut short / I know had more to give than what they were able to show. I think Katie falls into the latter category. Imagine her song choices on Team Kelly. 
 

Rolling In The Deep - Lady Marmalade - Asteroid Song is one of the worst strings of song choices for a supposed frontrunner. She wasn’t winning but that further sank her chances

yeah Chevel didn’t do the same things they did but in terms of just consistency she was better imo. also she handled multiple upbeat song choices in a row, don’t like MaKenzie ever did smth like that?

Lady Marmalade wasn't bad on paper, but that performance really felt like her on autopilot... I think that's when Jake and Ricky got ahead of her, if they weren't already.

 

The Aerosmith song I felt like honestly someone just googled "best powerhouse ballads" and gave her whatever came up lol

Like yes that's kind of her lane but it doesn't mean she can do just any ballad, I don't think the song fit her voice that much. It was missing that soulful element that she usually thrives on.

Yeah, I don't think I Stan her, but I really liked her performances. Boo'd Up, I Like Me Better When I'm With You, Work It Out, and Latch, were all great.

I do agree the Aerosmith song was an odd choice vocally. But I think she did a commendable job.

I agree with you. I've also said it one or two times in the unpop thread that Katie > Ross. And Katie completely overshadowed Ross in their duet.

Makenzie's duet with Kymberli was pretty upbeat. Was an awesome performance. But yeah can't disagree with you there.
