Oooh wow I'm kinda surprised he got all 3 yes's as it seemed like Lionel and Luke were on the fence. 😮 Happy for him making it through.

But I also get his nervousness of singing a Lionel Richie song in front of him. :haha:

Nice auditions from the contestants so far, including Owen Eckhardt. By the way, I just wanted to say that the guitar and harmonica set that Owen brought for his audition really reminded me of Tristen from last season. Tristen was a contestant my friend Nick and I both liked in Idol S20.

Wow I feel like lots of people have been singing "Talking to the Moon" a lot lately (out of nowhere) on these singing shows. :haha:

There's been an (annoying) TikTok singing challenge to it for a bit now, which is why people are singing it out of nowhere lmao

Oooh lmaoo wow, that explains it then. :lmao: Cause it's always been such an overlooked/forgotten about Bruno Mars song.

Wow I'm really surprised the judges gave her no's. :( Shocked that the last audition of the night ended up with no's and not making it through.

Awww Fire's daughter giving her a golden ticket when she didn't get it from the judges was so sad and heartbreaking to see. :( :broken:

Oooh Katy going to give her a second chance in Nashville? What is this all about?

Here’s what I thought about the people doing auditions this time:

1.  Mariah — first song was apparently safe but her second song was better, especially as the song progressed.  Has potential.

2.  Nailyah — she was really good!  Could be my favorite from this episode.

3.  Kayleigh — she was very good as well but maybe generic.

4.  Tori — I thought that she oversang the song.

5.  Pjae — I thought he sounded a little like Alejandro from the season Laine won, but stronger than Alejandro.

6.  Warren — he was good but wasn’t my cup of tea.

7.  Carrina & Jonny — apparently they were good enough.

8.  Paige Anne — better at the end than at the beginning.

9.  Ophrah — very enjoyable.

10.  Kamron — first song okay, second one better but I think they should have said no for him.

11.  Owen — pretty good.

12.  Fire — poor girl.  She was good but apparently they didn’t think she was good enough yet.  I’m glad she’s getting a second chance.

I can't be the only one who dislikes the judges criticisms half the time right?

First, when they make a contestant sing a second song, then act like they significantly changed that contestant when half the time they sound the same as they did in the first song.

Secondly. I dislike the trend of them telling singers to go for the big notes, especially if it's clearly not their forte. Not everyone has to be a powerhouse! And this is coming from someone who favors those types of singers.

I also notice it's pretty selective... no one's telling the country singer with a 2 octave range to go for bigger notes, and they shouldnt, because that's not their strengths as vocalists most of the time.

It's incredibly irritating how contrived everything can be at times. I skip the judge comments most of the time.
