The Voice All Star Season (Seasons 20, 19, 18)

 The idea is to pick 2 contestants from each season on who you'd want coming back for a hypothetical allstar season. The winners will be omitted and this will only include contestants that made lives.

 

I plan on doing all seasons, so it would be a total of 44 contestants.

 

It will be a multiple choice, please pick only two though, as it will mess with which contestants will "advance"  and I might have to ignore the vote unless you clarify/change in a post.

 

 

 

You may pick based on whatever criteria you choose.

 

It could be as simple as who you prefer or think is the best.

 

Or It could be who you think deserves another shot. Whether its based on unfair elimination, unfit song choices, improvement post show, or who would benefit the most from coming back on. I will probably pick based on these factors, up to you if you want to consider those things or just pick your favourites.

 

 

Now, let's see if this works out.. if too many people vote for more than 2 options I'll have to do each season twice with only 1 vote option going forward.

Anyways, here are my picks.

 

Season 20

 

Anna Grace

One of the best live performances of the season. Absolutely robbed. It's unfortunate because she was improving with every performance, I would have been very curious how her journey would have ended up if she went through.

 

Ryleigh Modig

Also unfairly eliminated. But I honestly think she showed most of what she was capable of in her run. Maybe I'm wrong though.

 

Season 19

 

This one is the hardest...

 

It's between Sid, Chloe and Payge for me.

 

I think sid was the most unjustly eliminated. He was one of the best of a weak night imo, and his artistry is pretty good that I think his run would be interesting.

 

Payge is probably the most unique out of the 3 both tonally and artistically. The only reason I'm hesitating is that her live performances were pretty bad. I would give her a 2nd chance, but One problem though, Chloe was also unfairly eliminated and again, one of the best of the night..

 

Ultimately, I think I'll go with Chloe and Sid because they showed a better level of vocal consistency in their live performances, even if Payge is the most unique of the 3, I'm not sure if she would be up to it vocally.

 

Season 18.

 

Mandi Thomas

 

Her KO sounded beastly and was unfairly montaged. She's also pretty versatile so I think her run would be interesting. Lastly, I think she would benefit the most from coming back (due to being a montage)

 

Joei Fulco.

 

One of the most unique voices of the season. I can see her crossover a lot of genres, making her run interesting.

S18: Zan and Joei

 

I’ve always been a big Zan fan and I don’t think she showed her true potential while she was on the show. Joei was the closest we’ve gotten to Chloe Kohanski since S13 and I was sad when her run was cut short.

 

S19: Sid and Payge

 

These two, imo, were by far the most interesting contestants that season and losing both in the Playoffs really hurt. I think they really do deserve another shot.

 

S20: Corey and Gihanna

 

Corey had a really good run on the show until the Semis where it seemed like his voice was exhausted. Gihanna was unpolished but great for what she was and I think if she came back she would be stronger than ever.

I honestly thought she showed most of what she was capable of vocally. Watching her recent covers, it's sounds pretty similar to what she did on show. 

 

Even artistically, she made a lot of the songs she covered her own.

 

It's part of why I didn't pick her despite being my favourite of the season.

I watched some of Gihanna's live that she got people  in her thread to join and she already sounded better than what she did on show. I think it was a few months after season 20 finished.

 

I think Corey would run into the same problems if he came back tbh.

It’s refreshing to see people who prefer guys (at times), just like on other sites it’s refreshing to see people prefer girls (at times).

I mean, you can pick based on whatever criteria.

 

I didn't pick my favourites, I picked the contestants I thought were either unfairly eliminated, or didn't showcase their full potential on the show.

 

 I think someone like Thunderstorm showcased what he was capable of vocally and was given some pretty good artistic freedom while on the show. For that reason I didn't vote for him even though he and Zan were my favourites.

 

You can vote for your favourites or who you think is "best" too, I think most did anyways.
