They explain everything in the first episode lol, but it's like a game of mafia if you've ever played that. Three "traitors" are chosen by the producers and it is their job to "kill" a faithful each night (thus eliminating them from the game). And at the end of each day the entire group has a meeting and everyone votes someone out they think is a traitor and whoever has the most votes is eliminated from the game, whether they're a traitor or not. So two go each episode. Edited January 13, 2023 by Alex95

*Lily Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 Scrolled right to the bottom and not read any comments in case there’s spoilers lol. I’m so excited for this though. Whole US series just dropped here today too (excited to no longer be one of the few Cirie stans in the UK ) The UK series was excellent. I’m glad that, from the looks of it, there will be a lot of similarities.
Solaris Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 (edited) masterful gameplay by the winner(s). Edited January 13, 2023 by Solaris
Alex95 Posted January 13, 2023 Author Posted January 13, 2023 I watched all 10 episodes across two days I'll post a bunch of thoughts in spoiler tags some time this weekend, but I loved this! I think the UK version started off strong, fell off a bit towards the end, and then had an incredible finale. I think this one started off good but slowly improved. I thought the second half of the season was better than the first! 1
Solaris Posted January 13, 2023 Posted January 13, 2023 I want to post a rankings but i dont want to spoil anyone who still plans on watching it!
Skyfall Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 Finished UK and Australia version (in that order) of this few weeks ago, and they're all good, I liked Australia's outcome more tho (even if some are sooo dumb). Then, I've finally finished the US version of The Traitors US, and I gotta say, I prefer it than the UK one (which is quite popular lol). UK started out so strong, but the ending fell hard for me. And, I didn't like Wilf lol. This one, I genuinely thought I would not love it based on the first episode, but it got better from there. US > Australia > UK (unpop) for me. The winner(s) gameplay was a masterclass from beginning to end. One of my favorite reality TV winners ever. The loser(s), especially one was so dumb tho, making it much more satisfying win.
Skyfall Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 Cirie Fields tho, that's a queen. Her, Kate, and Rachel were the highlights for me! 1

U.S. Australia's winner story arc was less satisfying for me (compared to the U.S. one). The buildup of the U.S.'s one was beautiful from the get go. 3 hours ago, Rodney said: I don't whether to attribute it to good gameplay or just good luck that he ended up lasting the longest of the Traitors, even after he was the first one suspected. Good gameplay for me or luck? Maybe both. It helps too that the other players with him had a sloppy gameplay. I just didn't like how he threw many innocent players UTB.

*Wallace Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 Ah I just started watching this last night and am 3 episodes in so far. LOL I have no idea how to comment on this as I don't know how many people watched what or what has been spoiled. Or do we talk about the show openly or in spoiler tags? Or what. But it has been interesting. I'll post some thoughts in spoilers just in case. It's fun seeing Cirie, Cody and Christian as the traitors. But also interesting how they have such different gameplays in their role. Cirie and Cody are much better at it and especially loving Cirie in the role. They're both quite discrete and not too noticeable. Christian does seem a bit extra and talkative and seems like he could ruin it a bit. I feel like if any traitors get discovered, it'll be him. Aww I was happy that Brandi barely made it through at the start of Episode 3 but bummed that she got eliminated at the end of it. She always brings a lot of juicy drama to these shows. I like her duo with Kate and the drama Kate brings too. Funnily enough Kate is like one of the few celebs I didn't know coming into this show. But haha I know the traitors were loving that she got eliminated by the main cast so that they didn't have to take that big shot at her. Loving seeing Rachel as always and her extraness. And also lol Ryan is such a hilarious mess here. LOL I really wonder how he would have been and played as a traitor. Michael does seem like the biggest personality of the non-celebs/reality stars. But lol his gameplay is such an entertaining hot mess. I don't think there's any way for him to clear that target from him. I am curious to see the reactions of whenever he gets eliminated and it gets discovered he's a loyal. That will shake everything up.
Zoey Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 (edited) I’m three episodes in and Brandi, Kate and Cirie are stealing the episodes. No one else even comes close to having a part to play in this show. I was not prepared for Stephenie to go from carrying a season, playing an integral part in another and then being completely invisible in this. I’m holding out hope for Rachel! Please don’t let me down. Edited January 16, 2023 by Zoey
Zoey Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 And Alan Cummings? ICON! I don’t think they could’ve picked a more perfect host. He had some huuuuuge shoes to fill after watching Claudia, but come through Alan. 1
Zoey Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 I’ve just finished episode three and can’t believe they went for Brandi. I’m a Brandi stan but it was obvious she was a faithful. I’m hoping this note dropped by Kate is play to reveal a traitor and not just a genuine mistake. Cirie is carrying the three traitors like Amanda did. Cody isn’t useless but I don’t think he would be capable of making it to the end if Cirie wasn’t there. Christian is pointless at this point. How the others haven’t voted for him I don’t know.
*Wallace Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 Watched the 4th episode last night. I'm not sure when I'll continue watching as weekends are easier for me to catch up on shows rather than the weekdays. I'll see what I can do. Ah yeah I'm definitely not surprised that Michael was banished. I was hoping for that as I knew everyone would be shocked to find out that he was a loyal. That is definitely gonna change up and intensify the game going forward. But ooof Kate is looking like the latest suspect even though she's also a loyal too. Although Arie is suspicious and think there's a strong reality TV female as a traitor and he realizes the traitors strategy for their eliminations.... he's clueing into things so hmm I feel he will get targeted soon. But oooooo Cody vs. Cirie at the end was intense and looks fun. LOL Cirie accusing Cody of knowing and being friends with Ryan Lochte. Can't wait to see how that heats up.
jarmon Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 Just finished the season. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Will add more thoughts when more people finish the season.
