I really like Bodie tho.

I don't think Matt ever had a performance as bad as Without me, I think he had a more consistent run.

 

 And this is subjective, but I personally think Matt emotes better. Blowers daughter is my favourite performance between the 2.

 

However, I think Bodie, at least during their time on the show, was the more technically skilled and versatile vocalist, and I think he's definitely more unique with how he completely flips songs.

 

Yeah. This one's hard..

 

I'll say I prefer Matt's Voice Journey, but Bodie intrigues me more as a vocalist and artist. Although I still like Matt in that regard as well (the  band he fronts is pretty good, though different than his on show work)

 

Not sure where that leaves me in terms of who to vote for on the poll though..

I was going to say Bodie had more out of the box song choices and performances, and he probably did, but Matt did a pretty big risk with Blower's Daughter and it worked. Also, even though GOK is a popular song, I feel like it was unexpected for someone of his style to do that song.

 

Then again I liked Bodie's pre-taped performances better (wasn't a fan of Matt's BA). So idk...

 

Overall, based on style preference and maybe a little more consistency I'd go for Matt. Both have great performances and overall runs though.

I like bodie less now than I did during his run, but I like Matt more than I did during his run.

And even then, they're both just kind of in the meh tier for me of any "indie" contestants. They both strike me as more pop than anything for their runs, especially bodie.

 

I pick Matt I guess.

Who are your top ten favorite indie contestants? If they are all female add a male as a bonus.

Both great, but I preferred bodie's run on the show, and he got more creative with his choices than Matt throughout.

I don't remember much of Matt but what I remember I didn't like.

 

bodie was strong for most of his run, so he's my strong preference.

I think Matt's weakest performance was better than Bodie's, and also, I don't think Bodie had any performance that beats "The Blower's Daughter." (Gratitude comes close tho)

Ooh two of my favorites in one poll again. Matt has the advantage here with a much longer Voice run, and I enjoyed it in the moment, but looking at it now, it lost a little luster for me. He bit off more than he can chew on many instances (the U2, Coldplay and Judy Garland performances were rough), but I agree that his highest points were better than bodie's. I also fondly remember having a lot of fun stanning with the #McFandrews.

 

However, I just enjoyed bodie's journey just a little bit more than Matt's. Not only did he have the freshest songbook in Voice history, but you can tell each one of his choices showcased who he is as an artist. Other Voice artists could only dream of being given as free of a rein as bodie in their artistic expression on the show. And bodie was just as fun to root for as Matt was, with his awesome BTS vlogs and irreverent social media persona.

Going with Mat here.

 

Bodie had a great run with no slip-ups but I always felt like I should have liked him more than I actually did.

 

Matt was less consistent and lacked polish, but his journey on the show was far more memorable (TMTC, Blower’s Daughter and Wasted Love are some of the most iconic Voice performances ever) and he had “it” factor for days which we don’t see every day.

Tbh, my only curiosity here is that who @QueenMae16 will pick between these two? I think from the first 21 seasons Matt is the only male they've ever stanned (Even tho they liked few others as well). But I've also never seen them giving a 10 to a male contestant before (since I've started lurking), but they gave Bodie two 10s.
