Wendy.

Everything about her is more refined and her pitch is nearly perfect (I heard her miss once or twice, Omar has had more off moments)

Omar has the edge in breath control. But I can't think of any other aspect vocally I'd give him the edge on.

Technically better? Wendy.

But Omar took a lot of risks. First Journey, then Into The Unknown, then Radioactive, then Bon Jovi, Celine, and now MJ and Queen. This man has my respect.

Agreed 100%. I voted for Wendy because her razor-sharp consistency was just stunning to witness. She made singing like that look effortlessly easy, even though it is brutally difficult and takes decades of skill. She was one of the best vocalists on the show ever.

But Omar is so incredible. Just amazing. I admire him so much for his versatility, theatricality/stage presence, and ridiculous breath control.

i'm gonna say Wendy

but unpop: i think both contestants coasted by using their vocal abilities without bringing much interesting to the table FOR ME.

joshua and gymani are examples of contestants who i think brought more interesting stuff to the table while in a similar lane.

Luckily Wendy ended on a VERY strong note (literally)

Honestly I agree.

Although I do think Omar deserves credit for flipping that bebe rexha song lol

vocally, it's one of the most insane performances we've seen, and i'm sure my jaw literally dropped (i'm very emotive w/ my face when i watch these performances.. i even do a stank face sometimes and then have to hide it bc i'm in public 😭). i think her voice just doesn't have the texture or smth for me??

She's not a gritty singer (which is fine) so prob just preferences

I'm just glad shes still killing it at that age and doing well!

Yeah, it's great that she's continuing to work hard (as I suspect she has for a long time) and is still singing!

It's weird; I don't know why she doesn't appeal to me, because I love and am astounded by Kyla, for example. I think Kyla has a bit of a thinner voice??? And her low notes are also insanely good.

Kyla has a raspier voice and she SHOWS that she's doing hard notes. Wendy calmly does the notes. I love both either way lol

Kyla's lower register is one of the reasons I prefer her to Wendy. Such a fully round, gorgeous sound. I also think she had more variety to her sound. Wendy sounds pretty similar throughout her range while Kyla's highest belts are the exact opposite of her lows, and she used grit/rasp, even if sparingly. Wendy is all about clean, effortless singing, and it's probably why she's maintained her voice for as long as she has.

I might prefer Omar, but I think there’s no doubt that it’s actually Wendy

Yeah, that was his best performance imo. I never would’ve thought of it for him but it’s a brilliant choice.
