The Kique hype is wild. I'm rooting for him and I loved his KO, but I'm not yet confident that a singular breakout performance will be enough to secure him a PV, especially since his BA and Battle flew under the radar.

 

PV1: Justin Aaron has wide appeal (minivan+IDF), has consistently delivered, and has huge potential for a breakout moment in the Playoffs. With the right power ballad or "churchy" song, he will absolutely be able to secure a PV. I think he will surprise a lot of people with his run on the show.

PV2: I think Kevin Hawkins will surprisingly edge out Kique. Sure, he isn't too minivan friendly, but I think he's had a consistent run so far and will probably be a good performer live. Song choice will absolutely determine whether he gets a PV or not. His KO song? Definitely not. But if he pulls out something like "Isn't She Lovely", he will do just fine. Being ex-Team Blake could help too, if Blake gives a good pitch for Kevin in his commentary.

CS: Kique had a great KO, but I'm not sure how he will hold up live. I'm also not sure if he'll be able to attract minivan or not; I know he was well liked in the KOs, but I know his battle performance wasn't received too well (Tanner won on the app). I think he will get a CS by virtue of giving a better performance than Alyssa, though.

Eliminated: Alyssa Witrano has had an incredibly inconsistent run so far. Her audition and KO had lots of shaky and pitchy moments, even with the generous autotune. Gwen clearly loves her, but I see her flopping hard and giving a Bella Denapoli level performance that will be impossible to justify a CS.

So here´s what I think.

 

PV 1: Kique

 

I think his KO might have done the deal. And he´s clearly capable, so we´ll see what he does.

 

PV 2 : Justin

 

Pretty conservative style, great vocalist, and is bound to have good casual appeal. I think people are gonna buy him more than Kevin.

 

CS: Alyssa

 

Gwen´s mini me this season. I don´t see how she doesn´t get the save.

 

Kevin goes to the WC. He could have a chance depending on song choice and opponents.
