  1. Kique (I don't think I need to explain this one)
  2. Parijita (incredibly poised and well executed, but lacked a climatic moment)
  3. Morgan (solid vocals, but I get why the arm movements were distracting)
  4. Bodie (the vibes were there but the song was slow until the last third where it took off)
  5. Kevin (falsetto is gorgeous but a touch overused even considering the song choice)
  6. Rowan (no real complaints, just had a tough act to follow)
  7. Destiny (sounded a touch better in rehearsal but it takes guts to attempt Xtina + get the attitude right along with the vocals)
  8. The Dryes (lackluster considering their competition but they work well as a duo)
  9. Peyton (better in rehearsal, sadly)
  10. Orlando (love the song choice + emotional dial in, I just find his tone difficult to listen to)
  11. Valarie (...I don't wanna talk about it)
  12. Chello (had potential on paper, but...yeesh)

Solid B episode - the last KO trio was all very good + the steals were well used, but the losers generally lost for a reason and it showed.

Bodie was my favorite. Kique and Kevin had their best performances tonight as well. Parijita, Rowan, and Morgan were good, but their previous performances were better. 3 great performances plus like an endless sea of terrible ones made me give tonight a D.

9. Chello

10. Peyton

Fine

11. Orlando

I didnt disagree with any of the decisions tbh. Although i preferred Kevin over Bodie i had no problem with Blake picking him. Also putting Valerie last feels like a crime

I gave it a B. There was some really strong performances but also a bunch of duds.

Great performances

1. Morgan

2. Parijita

Good but weird song choice.

3. Bodie

Pretty good

4. Rowan

Another song that I didn't love

5. Kique

Loved the song but not huge on them as a duo.

6. The Dryes

Way too much falsetto but competent singer

7. Kevin

The rest not worth mentioning.

B+ for me. Great showing by all the winners + steals, but the losers were pretty rough.

1. Kique - Well damn.

2. Bodie - To turn that dud of a song into something worth jamming to is something. Plus that control with the runs. He´s legit.

3. Morgan - Great and consistent as always.

4. Parijita - Same as Morgan, although I think she was slightly timid tonight. Still, great job.

5. Kevin - Gorgeous start and ending, and impressive control, I just needed a bit more balance with the chest voice. Great job though, deserved steal.

6. Rowan - She had a tall task, and she mostly pulled it off. I thought the performance was a bit rushed, but she sounded great. I say the steal was warranted as well.

7. Destiny - Definitely the most solid out of the people that went home. Nerves got in her way though, she sounded better in rehearsal.

8. Peyton - Same as Destiny, except I liked him less.

9 Tie between Orlando, Chello, Valarie and The Dryes - Y"all are talented, but this wasn´t your night.

Fantastic

1. Kique - This is the only KO I would call a “moment’. Fun, dynamic and very impressive vocally (his range is highkey insane)

Still great but I have a few nitpicks
2. Morgan - Her vocals were 10/10 but whyyyy this song.

3. Parijita - It felt like they cut out the last 30 seconds of her performance. Otherwise a phenomenal performance.

Decent

4. Bodie - He perfectly executed a very dull song.

5. Kevin - As everyone else said, strong start and ending but the middle lost me a bit.

6. Rowan - She did fine. Not much else to say.

I wanted to take some time to rewatch the performances (and I did, over and over again lol) so I could let them sit with me. I think I've formed a solid opinion on each.

Wow

1. Morgan Myles - As John would say, a "tour de force". I can't believe most of the coaches chose Orlando's performance over hers. She was basically perfect vocally, showing all that she needed to show. I got over the arm movements thing very quickly, now I just see them as a quirky little thing about this performance lol

Great job!

2. Parijita Bastola - The only thing holding this back for me is I wanted to hear a little more power from her. The upper head voice notes are gorgeous but I wanted to hear her belt a bit more, she's proved she can do it. Otherwise, another excellent performance from Parijita.

3. Kique Gomez - I respect this performance more than I like it. It was powerful, inventive, what else could I possibly want? I honestly don't know, all I have to say is my ears don't enjoy this as much as I want them to.

4. Bodie - As I've said repeatedly, this was a breath of fresh air, and has a ton of replay value for me. This guy is good.

A tier below great

5. Kevin Hawkins

Disappointed

6. Rowan Grace - I thought we'd be seeing a growth arc from her based on her battle, but this was just back to the level of her audition. It was ok.

So far this season has been quite disappointing for me, it's so fking boring as TV is always be. Kique might be the most interesting one in the episode that's because he was the only one tried to deliver something new and successfully made that refreshing arrangement work for his voice. And the song choices are GOD DAMN AWFUL, did the contenders, their family, friends or coaches even hear how the performance sound before the song was being determined to perform?  Fortunately this season is still better than that miserable UK new season.

I just watched the clips and it's surprising how that version manages to be worse and worse every year. Seriously, if the producers don't see any value on the show other than the Blind Auditions, cancel the show all-togethee, a proper singing competition needs live shows (Same apply to Australia, but at least Australia's contestants can sing. In both the judges suck, tho)

This season sucks. I'm genuinely convinced all the losers of the KOs are getting bussed by production/their own coaches to make room for the few favorites that will get to move on to the lives. It feels like literally every trio is one obvious winner + a fodder contestant/a battle steal or save. At least with 2 way KOs, there was room for a surprise upset like Lana beating Carson, but now everything is way too predictable and set up to clearly favor one contestant.

Also in a typical season, about 70% of the performances were winning performances or ones that resulted in steals. Now only 45% of the performances are good ones with the other 55% being crappy/bus performances that get no autotune. I don't understand why any producer would make the decision to subject us to MORE losing performances than good ones.

i wonder if her style is more like Addison’s than a powerhouse’s? she does have a strong ability to convey emotion like Addison, and you mention the head voice notes which also calls to mind Addison. i haven’t heard a big focus on power from her (mainly “darkest” in her battle, haven’t watched her knockout) so i wonder if idf (as a whole — not you) is incorrectly assuming that she is going to be a “powerhouse.”

Agreed. I don't think she has shown signs of belting.

If that's the case then she should sing songs more befitting to that style. I agree that she isn't a powerhouse and shouldn't be expected to be, but if you're covering I'd Rather Go Blind, you need some more power than what she showed. Songs like Jealous are perfect for her already.
