Refresh my memory--didn't KPLX change formats?  If so why are they one of the sponsors?

That was bothering me, too.  They apparently have the same physical address (the two stations).  Wikipedia says KPLX's format is now classic country with some current overnight, etc.

I commented on FB that Scotty was a Pats fan.

Cumulus Media has shifted one of its two Dallas country stations — “99.5 The Wolf” KPLX — in a gold-based direction. The playlist move began Tuesday and includes a much stronger emphasis on ‘90s country in lieu of more recent music.

“It’s something we’ve found the audience wants and allows us to expand our reach into the country music universe with the two biggest engines in country radio — it’s two halves of the whole,” Mike Preston, who programs both KPLX and sister “New Country 96.3” KSCS tells Inside Radio sister publication Country Insider. “No changing in branding or imaging,” Preston adds, “the team remains in place and the early reaction is great!”
