buttons66 Posted September 24, 2022 Author Share Posted September 24, 2022 thescottstem A year ago, early in the day as we were filming @scottymccreery’s “Damn Strait” music video at @gruenehall, he and I were walking over to the next door Gruene Mansion Inn for him to change clothes and get made up for the shoot. I told him then “Bud, you need to play here. I think this is a must do.” He said “do you think they would want me? The greats have played here.” I responded back “yes, I think they will want you…and I think it would be a night you won’t forget.” I called our agent Nate Towne that morning and we started the process. Last night (09.23.22), nearly a year later, Scotty played to a packed Gruene Hall that had sold out in less than an hour when tickets went on sale. It was so incredibly hot, but it was so worth it.
