Joe McFadden

4096.jpg?width=700&quality=85&auto=format&fit=max&s=fe2ce4cb956775ae05a252123ed751e1

Joe McFadden is not an unlikeable guy and I was happy for him and Katya to win the trophy of Strictly in 2017. Especially when Katya doesn't always get the best partners. However, the win was a little disappointing for me because it was just a predictable choice. How I just wish the British public could have shocked us for once and given it to one of the two superior dancers of that season - Alexandra Burke and Debbie McGee. It was never going to be Alexandra because, as I've talked about in length on this forum, the tabloids and the viewing public were just pretty vicious and racist to her this season and it made the season just super convoluted for me. I adored her journey on the show but at the same time just was just frustrated for her with everything going on. But if you're not gonna give it to Alexandra, we should have given it to Debbie! The 59 year-old former magician's assistant who was outdancing pretty much everyone else half her age? Iconic! She bossed it this season and would have been such an exciting winner otherwise.

But we get Joe. Who is in fairness, the third best dancer of the season so it's not an outrageous win. It's just kinda a boring one for me. I can't say I consider him to have many moments in comparison to other Strictly winners... I liked his Charleston which he got a perfect 40 for on the last night. But compared to the other showstopping routines which Alexandra and Debbie put out this season, his win was just kinda predictable and anti-climatic for me in this season. A nice enough guy (and at the time our oldest male winner until Bill came and took that title ), but just not an amazing winner for me and I think we're getting to that point in the game where we can take people like him out.

Just Sam

155457_American_Idol_5_10_Sam4-scaled.jp

A lot of the Idol winners have been cut lately and surprisingly Just Sam is still in this, so yeah had to fix that. Just Sam is an iconic stage name tho ngl. Just Sam is the winner of the eighteenth season of American Idol and funnily enough, this season I was rooting for one of the men in the Finale to win. Actually, I was rooting for 3 of the men being Arthur Gunn, Dillon James & Francisco Martin. So, I was kinda disappointed seeing Just Sam win but hey, another female winner so that's cool! Her performances were nice but I was never truly amazed by any of her performances, I felt her sob story really helped her and I do feel for her because she's been through a lot. She sang some great songs during the "Live Shows", well idk whether to call it "Live Shows" since it was filmed at home so you get it. She sang "I Believe", "Grandma's Hands", "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes", "I Turn to You", "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)" and my personal fave of hers being "Rise Up". I know she's been having some health concerns lately and was in hospital so I hope she's doing better now ❤️.

Spelbound

BGT' Spelbound for Olympics ceremony?

Spelbound is a  young gymnastics troupe.  I am not normally a fan of child acts, but I watched their audition and its pretty decent.  I didn't love it, but I can see why an act like this would win.  They won the fourth season of Britain's got Talent.  If I am going to watch gymnastics its going to be olympics level performances though, or something really cool like aerial ribbons or something weird like contortion (see Sophie Dossi).  This group is talented but the numbers look a little chaotic and the act just doesn't feel special.  So it makes it an easy choice for me to cut.

After the winners of seasons 7-10, I took one look at Phillip after his audition and called him as the winner.

LMAO Yeah I did too. :dead: 😐

Aww Just Sam. Not an unfair cut or anything, but yeah I'm glad that I cut Phillip last night so that at least Just Sam outlasts him. :giggle:

I really liked Joe McFadden, but I do get the cut. I was of course way #TeamAlexandra, but with her having zero chance of winning, I was just glad that she made it to the final which she deserved. If she had a chance of winning, then I likely would have been more bitter of Joe winning. :haha:

Debbie would have been an iconic winner, for all the reasons Lily brought up. Although I do think I slightly preferred Joe over Debbie? 🙈 But it was a toss up with them for me all throughout that series. I really liked both and thought they were very solid/great dancers. But I get how Joe wasn't quite an exciting winner as he fits the mold of previous winners.

Mark Wright

Mark Wright is an entrepreneur and self-taught digital marketing specialist and speaker. He won the tenth season of The Apprentice UK in 2014 when he was 24 years old. Wright used his winning investment money to start his own digital marketing agency, Climb Online; apparently it is one of the UK's fastest growing digital marketing agencies. He was originally from Australia and was a sales manager before entering the show. Apparently he is one Lord Sugar's more successful winners. After winning The Apprentice, Climb Online went to turning over £1.7 million in his first year of trading and turned over 5 million after that. As of recently, Climb Online employs more than 30 staff members across two offices and has secured more than 230 clients.

                      Michele FitzGerald

Survivor: Michele Fitzgerald on why fire tokens did not equal votes | EW.com

Michele's season of survivor was rife with debauchery, rudeness and pirates, especially after the merge. Once the last of the pirates were removed from the island, and it was looking like the more mature and wiser members of the tribe would prevail and win the game, Michele sprang into action. You could almost hear the voiceover as Michele talked to people, got to know them, and learned a little bit about what they were all going through in their lives. Then the clever little mouse squeaked her way into the final three, and beat the unassuming Tai, and stodgy Aubrey, to win the season.

                                                                                                                                                   🙄

It's telling that the producers had to go all out with the editing to present a convincing reason that Michele could possibly win, but I guess if you discount the three medical evacuations, and everyone who was a complete loser, Michele stood a fighting chance. Still, I don't think she was more deserving than Aubrey.

ARSENIO HALL

422029-120618_arseniohall2.jpg

Arsenio Hall won The Celebrity Apprentice back in 2012. This wasn't one of the better seasons since most of the cast wasn't very likable. Dayana Mendoza was easily my favorite contestant this season. She was the only person worth rooting for in my opinion, and she's also my favorite contestant from any season of The Celebrity Apprentice. As for Arsenio's contribution to this season, I don't really recall too much about him. I think overall the women were a lot more memorable than the men though. I do remember Arsenio did butt heads with Aubrey O'Day at one point, and I sided with him over her in that argument. Anyway, Arsenio was a solid enough contestant to make it all the way to the finale. I admit I expected Clay Aiken to win the season, so it was a bit of a surprise when Trump chose Arsenio as the winner instead. Although Clay raised more money in the final task, Trump said Arsenio got the win because he went 2-0 for wins as a project manager (Clay had a 1-1 record). If that was the determining factor, then why go through with a final task at all? Anyway, after his win, The Arsenio Hall Show was revived in 2013. There was speculation that Trump gave the win to Arsenio to help boost the revival of his talk show. However, the show was cancelled again after one season.

I know of Mark Wright from a number of UK shows but I had no idea he was on and won The Apprentice UK. :dead: And I still feel like I've learned so much from him in that write-up as I didn't know what he did on or before that show. :haha:

I'm not as crazy about Michele as some are on the forum, but I do still really like her. Sad to see her go but there have been much harsher cuts, for me.

I can't remember my exact thoughts on Arsenio Hall but I feel I agreed with nearly everything Steven said there. I think I was expecting Clay to win that show so I was surprised Arsenio did. I can't remember his argument with Aubrey in the board room that well but I am sure it was entertaining/juicy/crazy or whichever word you would want to use. :dead:

For most of the show, it looked like Aubrey was being set up to win, but I didn't think she was Trump's style, so I wasn't sure what was going to happen. He kept raving about Dayana, even though her teammates insisted she was a terrible player.

Eboni Stocks (Australia's Next Top Model - Cycle 2)

Eboni Stocks

I'm not sure how many people besides me watched AusNTM so I feel like it's up to me to do some of these write-ups. Also I can't wait to cut a certain other AusNTM winner but I have to get one or two more out of the way before I can fairly eliminate her oop. Cycle 2 wasn't the most exciting cycle of the NTM franchise, but I personally liked it a bit better than AusNTM Cycle 1. The show still had some growing pains but there were some improvements in the pacing and format. The main issue, to me, was that the cast overall just wasn't super strong. Better than Cycle 1's cast, but it still had a lot of really generic/bland models in both looks and personality. I thought Eboni was the clear frontrunner and I was definitely rooting for her to win over the others. She had an unusual face compared to her competition and she could really throw down a beauty shot, as seen above. So why cut her now? She is the only AusNTM winner who had absolutely zero modeling career after the show. The only one who comes close was the evil Demelza who I already cut. AusNTM generally has super successful models in the high fashion industry. In particular, Queens Alice and Montana (HINT: don't cut these lol), but the others also did fairly well and walked for high fashion designers overseas and so on. Eboni is currently a realtor. Presumably that was by choice. I can definitely relate to putting a ton of time and effort into something only to be like... "wait a second, this actually sucks and I don't want this to be my career" so props to her for winning it all and still being able to see that it wasn't right for her. But I can't justify keeping her over the others at this point.

Russell Ferguson

Oops almost forgot to make a cut today with being so busy traveling let's just get a nice easy cut taken care of. Russell should have never won season 6 of So You Think You Can Dance. Nope not at all yet here we are in this timeline where he did. It's a bit of a joke to me. Sorry harsh I know but as idol forums resident Kathryn McCormick fan this opinion should not surprise anyone. She held that season on her shoulders in my opinion and it was heart breaking to see her lose in the end. If Alexis and Eliana are already gone why is Russell still here?

You and I both.

Never forget when Dee's time expired for his Kathyn cut and I was able to save her, and her making Top 20? Iconic ❤️
