And the one who made it to the finale was Jershika 


Jershika closed the battles premiere and the last KO episode though, and based on the Top 8 Instant Save they clearly wanted her in the finale (Pimp spot + BEC) Who knows what would have happened if Joshua had a better edit (I guess we will find out this season with Kim/Omar, if both make it that far)

Yes, perhaps a useful way to remember that its an i and not an a is that Parijita’s name has the rare property of having 3 dots in a row lol.

I'm just saying that we are overestimating how much the blinds' episode in which their auditions are aired have an impact in the final outcome (Idk if that makes sense, sorry, i have been struggling hard with my English lately). I already mentioned that in 7 out of the last 9 seasons, at least one finalist came from Episode 5.

I think the fact that you know who makes it all the way to lives is literally spoiling the earlier episodes for you.

 

If you can put the results out if your mind, it makes for much more enjoyable viewing.

I actually agree with this. I think this is what’s making it less enjoyable for me lol. This makes so much sense

Lmao I'm perfectly fine enjoying contestants that didn't make the lives. There's usually a couple Battle casualties whose auditions I enjoy very much (Season 20 especially). It's just that the performances so far haven't been wowing me. I was excited for Cara and Morgan T. but both were underwhelming to me.

The second episode had five people that made it to the lives and i still think it was very meh (but the best so far, for sure, even though that's not saying much)

Savanna Chestnut, Lindsay Joan, Halley Greg, Raine Stern, Durell Anthony... all of their auditions were among my favorites of their respective episodes, even though I knew they didn't make it far.

This. We have both more successful chair turners this season AND fewer people who make lives. So it changes the entire calculus.

 

Also, I was heavy into we’re getting comeback artists to start, but with one fewer week of live shows (due to the elections), I’m actually skeptical that we’ll have comebacks now.

Yeah, i was underwhelmed too. Maybe "All Too Well" is just a song that you can't just cut to 90 seconds, i didn't feel any of the emotions that i feel when i listen to Taylor's live versions. 

 

"willow" was right there, it could have even showcased her high voice better, but let's keep ignoring "evermore" 🙃 

 

Btw, how my fellow Swifties reacted to it?? I imagine that most of them were talking about Camila's reaction

I don't think it was the right song choice for her. Also, she doesn't usually try to sing as fully as she did in her audition. Maybe she would've been more comfortable with her guitar?

The source spelled the name correctly the first time but obviously we had no idea who she was so my logic personally was:

-Did you mean Pajarita/Pajarito like "little bird?" That's a cool stage name. That's clearly Spanish, how did you get John instead of Camila? Did John block Camila?

-Did you mean Parejita, which would mean something like "little pair?" Are you referring to a duo? Since the battle opponent was a duo as well? Duo vs Duo? That's awesome, John.

-Ultimately it didn't take too long to find her, but I was pleased the source actually did spell it right the first time lol

Justin seems like a good possibility. The others aren't entirely out of the question either (but we get Tanner tonight supposedly)

I feel like most of us have been pronouncing the "j" in Parijita with an "h" sound, but I have feeling its actually Pah-ree-jee-tah
