This. Like if Ava would have made it instead of Tristen I would have been sad for Allegra but would have been like ehh it's fine. But both Ava and Allegra losing to Tristen is really just an embarrassment.

My toxic trait is enjoying Noah Thompson performances.

 

Killed it

1. Leah - SHE'S SO GOOD Y'ALL. Not her strongest but still head and shoulders above some of the competition. (8.5)
2. Nicolina - Overdone song choice, but this was really pretty. (8.0)

 

Good effort 🙂 

3. Noah - This guy knows how to pick crowd-pleasing songs. Why is his charm working on me? NOOOO! (7.75)
4. Mike - The most authentic he's sounded as a country singer. He earned his spot in the Top 11. (7.5)
5. Fritz - He got me to actually listen this week. Between this and the Billie song, I'm starting to get his appeal. (7.5)
6. Lady K - This was better upon a rewatch, she showed more grit and took more risks than usual. (7.5)

 

Ok

7. Ava - She usually grabs me in moments, but not for entire performances. This performance was no different (7.0)
8. Allegra - Love her, but for some reason, this didn't really grab me. It could've been more focused, I think? (7.0)
9. Huntergirl - There are some nice parts, some not so nice ones. Overall, it was decent. (6.5)

 

Mehhhh

10. Jay - He's just so overwrought all the goddamn time. His vocals aren't enough to make up for it. (6.0)
11. Tristen - Liked how he sounded in the verses, but he severely lacked the power necessary for the choruses (5.75)
12. Christian - Very few people can do this song justice. Christian isn't one of them. (5.5)

 

These weren't it

13. Emyrson - There were plenty of spots in that performance that really made me cringe. Sorry Emyrson fans.... (5.0)
14. Dan - There were some cute moments here and there, but he's just by far the weakest vocalist in the Top 14. (5.0)

1. Fritz - A decent rendition, but the melody is on and off here for me.

2. Nicolina - The song is so overdone. She's a great singer but there are too many covers on internet are better than this.

3. Allegra - She keeps doing fine, the major audience of these singing competition shows just don't vote for the girl like her. 

4. Leah - It was okay, kinda forgettable.

5. Noah - What a let down. BORING AF.

6. Mike - A wrong song choice again. It just didn't go anywhere.

7. Christian - All over the place bad.

8. Huntergirl - Nasally boredom.

9. Jay - That was pretty awful.

10. Emyrson - Undeniably miserable.

11. Dan - ABSOLUTELY PAINFUL. SKIP SKIP SKIP.

12. Lady K -  She's really not vocally talented enough to nail the song like this.

13. Ava - I don't even want to say anything about it.

14. Tristen - I can't call it a performance. One of the biggest disaster in the history of IDOL.

I think everyone else picked the wrong song this week which is sad because I think overall at least half of the contestants have been super consistent. I still think that Leah and Noah sounded good, I just didn't care for their song choices. Huntergirl was a let down this week. I'm rooting for a Fritz/Leah/Nicolina/Noah/Huntergirl final five still.
