But the theme I noticed he was mostly on the show to promote himself and to be relevant. So he made dumb choices for his teams, which is why he rarely won. katybay Posted June 23, 2022 Share Posted June 23, 2022 (edited) Poor Reagan Strange, which is a head scratcher because she started improving lfrom knockouts, playoffs, and top 13. Then top 11-10 took such a down hill and ROBE GATE. The problem is she was 13 and underbaked and adam kept giving her huge songs and honestly her voice wasnt the most unique IMO. The show kept making her to be bigger than she was, but I guess the storyline that season was everyone get a teen girl on their team. I think the story was actually her winning, since that man hadn't won in such a long time (by that time, six seasons). And he was well on his way since she'd gotten the streaming bonus for the Top 13 and Top 11 weeks. Then came the Top 10 week and Robegate, and not only were his chances to win torpedoed for that season, but for any other one going forward had he stayed. Even managed to make it in the middle 3 in the semis after I declared absolutely DOA after the previous week. But she was never gonna beat Kennedy or Makenzie in an instant save even if she performed well (and she didn't, my god that performance was horrible). As for Adam, that decision destroyed the chances of not just Deandre and Regan, but so many other contestants that had absolutely nothing to do with that. It was a significant improvement to what she did the last two weeks and I remember her FB stats being better too. It was also more minivan friendly compared to Sarah Grace and Kymberli's performances. And yeah she got slaughtered in that instant save... because she sounded horrible. She never had a chance against Kennedy under any circumstances, but she could have maybe taken out MaKenzie if she performed at least as well as she did the night before. Still think Reagan cheated in the top 10 instant save and should have been disqualified for not singing the instant save in top 10 (no offence Reagan).
