Who was Blake's most deserving winner?

im not a fan of Cam but im well aware he's the most deserving. Chloe is my personal favorite but she's was pretty inconsistent after TEOTH and Addison was more consistent and i think Addison should have won but i didn't mind her winning. Danielle was pitch perfect everytime but her season was stacked af and the finale was kinda disappointing.

I know he was on a shorter season, but Cam never faltered once. I thought he was easily the most consistent performer that season, and the most versatile at that. He made 10,000 Hours and Wanted Dead or Alive work for him!

I’m being completely honest here…I don’t think any of that matters to IDF. It’s all about the “moments” they had on a TV show.

Of course....the problem with that limited mindset is many of the current IDF members are only aware of earlier seasons via some sketchy youtube videos and many are also blinded by recency bias. They never saw the earlier shows. Danielle won her season in what is IMO the deepest pool of contestants ever and it not that close.  Heck, some think this season was "the best" because they previous few season were kinda bad.  That's a terribly skewed perspective...but it is what it is.  Why ws Dalielle's the only Spring season to increase the audience share as the show progressed?  Why did it have the largest audience share?  Why does she have the most viewed fan thread by a factor of 10 (counting the pre-crash thread)? 

 

It's like this....watching your favorite team win a championship, as it happens...is a moment few will ever forget....watching it for the first time via youtube clips 9 years later....not a moment.  So, are the ones who never experienced those moments even qualified to to have an opinion on moments they never had?  Logically....no.  Best they can hope for is a qualified opinion.

Yeah, I’m not even insinuating that Danielle didn’t have moments, or that others moments were better than hers. I didn’t watch the season. I’m just saying this fandom is more focused on the TV show than what they do post-show. Most of the time, when a past contestant has any sort of success, it gets a collective yawn from IDF. The “Quick News and Notes of Past Contestants” thread isn’t very popular. It’s almost a waste of time to post something there.

Cassadee has had a lot of this too. But yeah the recently bias is very strong on this board. Danielle did use to have one of the biggest threads on all of idf back before the craus. That thread has well over a 1000 pages. But much like team minivan idf has a short attention span and can only remember a few seasons back.

A lot of Blake's winners were deserving. I think team Blake contestants have an easier time making it to 2nd/3rd, I'm not sure it's that much easier for them to win. But yeah, also I love Cam...but the recency bias here is very strong 🤣)

 

(certain archetypes have an easier time winning, but that's true across teams)

Debating between Cam and Chloe. I do think Cam was a level above pretty much everyone else his season, even if I preferred others in the top 8, but Chloe's arc from blind to finale was tremendous and even though it was a much more competitive season, she earned that win. Hard to pick but voted Chloe.

One can make an argument about Jermaine but other than him I think everyone did deserve to win.

 

Cassadee had an iconic audition. She had underwhelming Ko and battle but she start delivering during the lives especially after her legendary "Over You". I truly think she deserved her win. Of course Amanda was Amazing and she didn't deserve to get eliminated(especially after delivering a performace like "A Natural Woman"). But she also had some off weeks. Overall IMO these two were the most deserving ones. I would've been really happy with an Amanda win too.

 

Danielle is one of the most consistent teen contestants to ever be on this show. Michelle had an off week, Amber(lover her tho), Sarah, Sasha all did. Byt Danielle always Slayed. She never had a bad performance. Not to mention that she's a hell of a vocalist as well.

 

Say what y'all wanna say about King Craig but he's IMO the most consistent male country singer and vocalist to ever be on this show. He Amazed the audience with great performances like The Whiskey Ain't Workin', Wave On Wave, Can't You See, Some Kind Of Wonderful, I Walk The Line, and The Old Rugged Cross. I love Matt but he and Craig were neck and neck when you talk about consistentcy. If you talk about Take it Easy then Over The Rainbow also exists.

 

I don't Think I need to say anything about Sundance since a lot if people here agree that he was the most consistent performer of the season.

 

Chloe wasn't consistent but no one was during that season. Landslide and TEOTH two of the best performances ever. She wasn't my #1 choice but I think she deserved her win.

 

Todd was solid throughout the season. IMO he was the most consistent of the season. He never gave an off performance. Unlike Thunderboy he had his moment during the KOs. And he didn't stop there... He continued to amaze his fans with performances like Glory of love, Love, me, I Can Only Imagine, and Long Way Home. I think he had one of the best finale sets we've seen.

 

Cam was like on another league as compared the rest of s20's cast. All of his performances were nothing but great. Saying that he deserved to win is like of the most popular opinions here. Lol
