Generally, award shows usually give performances to award nominees. That still seems to be the case this year. Here's some of the list of performers: Eric Church (nominated), Carrie (nom) & Jason Aldean (nom), Mickey Guyton (nom), Zac Brown Band (nom), Old Dominion (nom), Carly Pearce (nom), Thomas Rhett (nom), Chris Young & Kane (nom), etc. The only 2 performers that I saw from the full list not nominated were Jennifer Hudson who is doing a tribute & Keith Urban which I assume since he's an A-lister is given this treatment. I wouldn't be surprised that Scotty needs to be nominated for an award before he gets a performance. For example, Chris Young wasn't performing either for years at award shows despite #1 hits, success, etc., but he performed this year when he was nominated. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
