This isn’t the first time a ringer with a hit song appeared on the show, since Billy Gilman was already there. And both were also singers that did country in the past that did not do country on the show, at least in prelives.

Right. Like I said in another thread, I have no problem with Wendy's level of experience or that of any other contestant in the show's 21 seasons. But clearly some viewers disagree with me.
