The day the musical fire lit in Curb recording artist Jackson Michelson, he hit the ground running and never looked back. A born entertainer with a knack for fan interaction, Michelson has long averaged upwards of 200 shows a year, playing to crowds that just seem to 'get' him and his music. A Portland, Oregon native, his extensive tour schedule and west coast travels have played a part in Michelson’s sound-an eclectic mix of classic country storyline with elements of roots and rock. The result, which can be heard on recent track releases “One At A Time” and “Stay Over,” gives listeners a take on the country genre “as fresh and clean as the Pacific Northwest air” he comes from. With a stage presence to match and thousands of live performances under his belt, Michelson’s ability to connect with his fans is earning him a prominent spot in country music’s landscape. “I’m an entertainer, it’s who I am. I’m not there for you to clap for me-I’m there to put on a show and engage with you.”

First built over the former Dryfus Theater after it was destroyed in a fire, the Long Center was finished and christened first as the Mars Theater in 1921.

Although it opened as a vaudeville house in 1921, it became a destination to watch the newest technology of the time, movies. It continued to operate primarily as a movie theater until 1977, when it was donated to the city of Lafayette by Irving Long, the president of the 4th Avenue Amusement Corporation in honor of his father, Dennis Long.

Day 3 of National FFA Convention was packed full with Opening Session that included hearing from Kansas native and owner of Fancy Lady Cowgirl, Courtenay DeHoff, as the keynote speaker! Students then explored lots of booths at the Expo featuring agribusinesses, colleges, and more! We ended out the night by traveling just out of Indianapolis to a Scotty McCreery concert that the kids danced to all night long!

Last pic on the carousel is a video of Scotty and an IG story ..looks like the kids having a great time

I was at this show and had such a wonderful time! It's so great to see Scotty live again and you could tell he was really enjoying it too. Damn Strait got really loud and long applause; it's really going to be a big hit for him.  Lots of "dancers" in the aisles including an old guy with a beer dancing back and forth from the stage 😝 but not too obnoxiously. The sound mix was good at this show and didn't drown out Scotty's voice - too often that's been the case in the smaller venues. Loved seeing him again!

I haven't commented on here much lately, but I do follow Deb's posts daily and try to keep up with social media. Still a dedicated Scotty fan and can't wait for him to swing by this area again.

Thanks Mary great to hear you were able to see Scotty last night..sounds like another awesome concert supporting Scotty. From the few pictures I saw looked like  pretty full attendance..glad to hear people were having some fun & dancing in the aisles.

Good to see you comment for sure...the Scotty threads have been pretty quiet on IDF for the last 18+ months with only about 6 of us here.Hoping folks will come back as shows continue to grow  thru end of year and into 2022.

Thanks for the "review" -- we love reading about each event.  Are any of the shows for 2022 near you?

Remember, it's not the posts that matter, it's the views -- and the "You Time" thread alone has received 65,000 views... Btw, I do get A LOT of private texts/emails/DMs about posts here, primarily because many consider this site difficult to learn/use... BL, it's all good!🙂

The more the merrier indeed!... My point is, A LOT of people view the posts here, including industry peeps -- and that's a very good thing for Scotty! ... Has the nature of this forum changed over the years? Of course. It now functions more like a 'Pulse pro-board' than a web-based chat room -- and that's OK. Just as it would be OK for more people to post as well as read... It all works together for the good (Scotty's good)!

Something I would add about Scotty's set list, I would have loved to hear How Ya Doin' Up There included. I was also really hoping he would add his cover of Travis Tritt's Anymore. He did it at the Ryman virtual concert last year and I loved, loved, loved it. 😍
