I think the most controversial was the Mikaela and bundys scenario

I voted for S17 because it led to Kelly’s PO team, which is one of my least favorite PO teams of all time (so many of them ended up overstaying, and it was quite infuriating that the WC winner was on that team). And we didn’t even get to see Brennan and Brooke’s battles so their eliminations can’t be justified (and then Gracee later got eliminated on TB because of another awful coach save). 
 

Honestly, none of the other decisions really bothered me, which was surprising (I keep forgetting that she brought a lot of artists I liked decently far on her team, I’m just not a huge fan of some of her top finalists) 

 

Some of the artists in here that were picked over more deserving artists at the time were able to prove themselves in later rounds

Choosing to keep Damali over Gracee, Brooke, and Brennan was the most puzzling for me, but the most controversial was definitely pairing the child against three grown adults.

I never forgive her for picking Alex over Injoy. Other than that, i don't care for her other decitions, they were fine to me

 

EDIT: Except eliminating Mikaela, that was awful, especially considering the way she was eliminated

I think Jorge over Amber, Megan over CammWess and Sarah over Erika are not really controversial here. (Although YT did seem to prefer Erika). There were actually people who said that Delaney should have won over Abby, but IDF pretty much fell head over heels for Abby´s KO, so no major controversy there either.

 

Kelly picking Cody over Sandy and Alex over Injoy got quite a bit of heat back in the day when the battles aired, although people have mellowed a bit now, at least when it comes to Alex and Injoy. IDF still prefers Marisa over Tanner, and YT still does as well, although I´ve seen more comments now siding with Tanner, particularly due to Marisa´s behavior.

 

If there´s one scenario, controversial enough that IDF and Minivan are actually in agreement here, is the whole Mikaela vs Bundys battle. There were options to choose to go up against a trio, and it just had to be the kid. Smh.

Voted for Mikaela because that’s the one time Kelly actually got Minivan backlash, but I’ll give an honorable mention to S17’s montages since that led to a team where the only person with a finale shot was Hoot (arguably, that was her plan all along, but the way Kelly went about it was rather messy and the rest of the team was mostly “eh” in the lives for me personally).

That season was Kelly at her most strategic, she played the Minivan game. (Her lives team was full of Minivan bait, but at the same time she knew she only needed Hoot.) There´s a reason why she left the playoffs with 4 members there, not to mention that all 3 people that made it far on her team (Hoot, Shane, HS) ended up being snowflake killers.

i preferred The Bundys in their battle, but at least give Mikaela a fair shot. pairing a 14 year against a trio, with the trio's favorite song is just wrong.
