The round will end in 48 hours, when everyone has voted, or when it's mathematically impossible to catch the top 6. Whichever comes first. You can change your votes at any time before any of the criteria is met.

The revelations that she's a TERF is about the least surprising thing I've heard in my life. Literally everything about her screams TERF.

OMG absolutely. It takes her trying to shame Amandla (an out non-binary actor) to a very explainable level. (Also the addition that she was trying to say that Amandla must be dealing with mental health issues????)

All the Smithies in the Subreddit being like "I knew her in college and she was just as awful then!" is the best.

Great performances from the cast. The short runtime made this an easy watch.

Considering what a personal movie this was for Kenneth Branagh, I felt it had a shocking lack of heart. It felt very simple and basic. I watched it, I thought it was fine, and then I didn't really think about it again afterwords. Jamie Dornan was very gorgeous though and the Everlasting Love scene turned me on more than I'd care to admit.

I still remember reading the twitter thread for this story when it happened. Truly one of the most iconic things to happen on the internet. Not every good story needs to be a movie though. It was a solid popcorn movie, very entertaining. Just not much depth there, cause I mean there's not much depth to the story. Colman Domingo was incredible through, as always, and completely elevated the material.

Such a unique and creative movie. Amazing LGBTQ+ representation and fun for all ages. If The Mitchells vs. the Machines is the future of animation, I'm very much excited about it!

I did see this film and liked it, so I thought I would've ranked it higher than films I haven't seen. It was just a tad too over-the-top for me, but it was a fun watch with great performances from Emma Stone and Emma Thompson.

Alex

The costume design, the soundtrack, the acting, the production design I loved everything about that. Unfortunately didn't love the plot lmao. This felt like just a typical heist movie? Not sure what the point of making it a Cruella origin story was except for name recognition I guess. I don't regret watching it, but I wanted more.

I admit I'm getting some MCU fatigue and some recent films haven't been great, but this was a really cool film. The action sequences and visual effects were terrific. Simu Liu and Awkwafina were great in their roles too.

Easily my favorite Marvel movie of phase four, and pretty much the only one that holds up against the classic movies (along with Wandavision if we're counting tv). It just had a strong plot and I was completely invested the entire time. Didn't love the final battle, but that's a problem I have with many Marvel movies.

Filed under movies I've seen once and never want to watch again. But whew, what a masterpiece. I'm not sure how many other movies made me sob as much as this one did by the end. As someone whose family has suffered from dementia, I've never seen a work of art that uses dementia and puts us in the mind of the disease as this one. The way it played with time and reality was completely genius. You never know where you are, who you're talking to, WHEN you are. It was astounding. Olivia Colman gives such a strong performance, but it's Anthony Hopkins with the masterclass performance. Truly the best of a long and illustrious career for Hopkins. The final scene broke me in more ways than I can count. Just a masterpiece of a movie. Easy 5/5 stars, and like I said, never wanna see it again.

The first time I watched it I thought it was okay. Very well made and well acted, but I just had so much trouble emotionally connecting to it. The second time I enjoyed it more and found myself emotionally invested. I think this is a movie I will appreciate more in my 30's. I think you need to be in a certain point in your life to really relate to the mindset of the characters, which I have not reached yet.

Whew the discourse. This movie's downfall was shocking to say the least. I think obviously all the points around it were valid, but it still felt extremely harsh. Anyways I never saw it lol.

I was definitely afraid of this winning so I tanked it. I just don't like the plot at all. Maria sleeping with Tony the night he murdered her brother...? Honey, there's no way the dick is that good!

Luca is one of my favorite Pixar movies. It's a charming story of friendship with likable characters, and it's beautifully animated too. The low stakes plot and childhood slice of life feel reminds me of some Studio Ghibli films.

It was fine. Encanto definitely outsold when it came to Disney/Pixar releases that year for me. I don't think people are gonna really remember it in the next few years, if people even remember it now. But it was good!

I definitely understand the complaints that it borders on cheesy at times. The strong performances really sell the movie. I laughed, I cheered, I cried. What more could you ask for from a crowdpleaser?

Steven

I want to see this film, but I don't have Apple TV+. It looks great though; I don't doubt it was deserving of its wins at the Oscars.
