Little Women is not my kind of movie at all, but Greta Gerwig forced me to love it. I had absolutely no knowledge of anything about Little Women the first time I saw the movie, but I went anyway because I trust Gerwig so much after Lady Bird. I just absolutely adore Gerwig’s style, I genuinely can’t imagine her directing a movie that I don’t adore. It’s a classic story with a modern edge. A combination of ingredients that could fail in a less talented director’s hands. I absolutely adored my first watch of the movie and just found myself wanting to live in their world and be friends with all of them. Saoirse Ronan continues to be the gift that keeps on giving and she still hasn’t given a performance I don’t love to this day. Florence Pugh, Timothee Chalamet, and Laura Dern deliver some of my favorite supporting performances of the year as well.

As I said in the Films Rankdown, this movie is a perfectly told story. A fully-realized vision. Gerwig was robbed.

I love Little Women. I love Greta Gerwig. And I love crying. This was a movie made for me.

Murder mysteries are my favorite films. I love me a whodunit. The film is smart and is incredibly subversive.

So glad this didn't get robbed this time like @aliasocfan so horrifically robbed it last time. Such a fun and entertaining movie that kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. One of the most exciting ensemble casts ever and I'm anxiously looking forward to the sequel!

The whole mystery could have been better but the cast was outstanding.

I thought it would get tanked after dominating the films rankdown, but I'm very happy to be wrong. I don’t have a single complaint about Parasite, it is actually a perfect movie. One of my favorite scripts of all-time, directed flawlessly by Bong Joon-Ho, and all tied together by a strong ass ensemble. There isn’t a single weak performance in the bunch (overall I want to give a shoutout to Park So-dam who I think is the MVP, maybe just for the Jessica from Illinois song alone lol). It is absolutely engrossing and uses it’s two-hour run time flawlessly. This was my first time rewatching it since I first saw it and I still absolutely adore it and would without a doubt put it in my top five or ten of all-time. Move over Kristi Yamaguchi and Janelle Pierzina, we have another two-time winner!

Megan

Another movie that proves that Academy Awards mean close to nothing. And YES I know it won Best Picture (deservedly so) but how was this not nominated for ANY acting awards. Any of Park So-dam, Lee Jung-eun, or Cho Yeo-jeong would have been a better nominee for Best Supporting Actress than Margot Robbie (and I say this as a HUGE Margot Robbie stan), ScarJo, or Kathy Bates. And literally replace any man in the Supporting Actor Category with Song Kang-ho. And Choi Woo-shik would have been a better Best Actor nominee than any man there. I just cannot believe it. They all do incredible work in this incredible movie and they are just ignored.

Bong Joon-ho has long been one of my favorite directors since I saw Mother in college. And to see his brilliance finally be rewarded with this movie is fantastic. It all feels a little bit like every time I'm ready to give up the Academy Awards the Academy does something I like. And the themes of classism are always going to be incredibly timely.

I'm a fan of all three of these movies.

I was familiar with the story of Little Women before watching this new adaptation, and I like what Greta Gerwig did with the film. The cast was great too. Despite a long runtime, I never felt like it dragged. Overall, it was a charming movie.

Knives Out was a lot of fun. I was aware of the hype before sitting down to watch it, and it did not disappoint. It's a well-done whodunnit. I'm looking forward to the sequel too.

I re-watched Parasite not too long ago. The film was entertaining after a second watch too. I believe I ranked Little Women higher than Parasite in the Decade rankdown, but their placements have now shifted for me. Parasite really is an outstanding movie. Although perhaps a predictable winner here, it's well-deserved.

Technically these had their theatrical releases in 2019 and should've been in that one. I added them anyway, but just fyi.

Are you referring to "El Angel"? If so, that's already added.
