And it’s basically the same headshot picture over and over, with basically no caption. She’s not giving people a reason to interact with the post, and not telling them anything new.

Most people on this season or probably any season could learn a lot from KB as I think she's far and away the best and using social media.

For votes, I think it’s overrated, but it’s important for later to have a following that actually pays attention to what they have to say.

I agree. It certainly doesn't hurt for voting but the majority of the people voting aren't following people on social media they just vote via the app or phone and call it a day. But with labels not helping you much you gotta really know how to use social media especially Tiktok to further your career.

Overall a good performance, idk why she couldn't overpower the band because she has the natural power to do so, but she gave it all she had.

 

I don't think, like some others, that it's impossible for her to advance. Be real, a lot had an off night(that were also less popular contestants) and she showed that she can stay on pitch despite the unknown song choice. She opened, has the teen factor, and is vocally consistent. 

 

It's just beating two people lol, if she can survive then it's the Top 20 song that is more concerning. If she's cut here then oh well, she did all she could and maybe she will come back another time(although I'm starting to see why this show can suck in some ways like The Voice has it's problems too)

I voted for her. I think she did a solid job all things considered.

 

She certainly shouldn't be going home after hearing some of the people last night.

Not that song, though. It’s along the lines of what she’s been doing so far. She needs something the audience can sing along with and relate to.

Something I noticed about Hailey on Idol is the fact that she seems to be picking songs she would most likely record for an album than songs that Minivan would like because her The Voice fans seems to like her song choices. It's just not Minivan bait but are the type of songs she would record for an album. I think that makes her very marketable and she should probably stick with that if she's comfortable with it. If she isn't happy with her song choices, then maybe they aren't for her. She does strike me as the type of artist who would sing a Tate McRae song.

Understandable. If/when she moves forward to Top 20, I’m hoping she has the option/choose songs that are “Facebook friendly” so the viewers of fb are more familiar with and relate to because that can def help her voting wise. In all fairness, I don’t think the fb viewers (which mostly comprises of ppl in their mid 30s and over) are familiar with Tate McRae as an artist nor relate to any of her songs as they’re considered teenyboppers. I think Hailey picking songs from artists like Miley, Sara Bareilles, or Lauren Daigle could really help her!

Very good point! Perhaps she should pick Minivan bait for now when the votes really counts and save the Youtube pop songs like Tate McRae, Billie Eilish for the finale instead like she did on The Voice. She saved that for the finale and sang Minivan friendly songs during the voting rounds when it mattered. I hope she moves forward as well.

Sucks that Hailey couldn't even survive the first round, what is also tragic is the fact that I don't feel like she's even done yet for her AI journey. I kinda want her to comeback but she may just get another crappy edit and would need to rely on song choices to get her through.

 

Well I loved her audition at least, we know what she's capable of, I'll gladly support another run here if she wants to comeback(Although perhaps a better song choice for at least the first voting round)
