Danielle

Danielle

the 2nd question was hard for me because they were all good (yas, even Todd lol). first was close with Chevel & Sundance then Danielle- but I loved Danielle from blinds to the finale so yeah :P

ultimately picked Danielle as she was the one I enjoyed the most among all from the start (loved Cassadee only on the live rounds lol)

I don’t know about that “country adjacent” category. Sawyer was folk/rock on the show, and isn’t even remotely country to this day. Todd was considered a country singer on the show by pretty much everyone who watched, except for a handful of fans who want to classify him as something else for whatever reason. He was more country than Sundance.  Cassadee was a pop singer on the show who sang a few country songs for votes. Sure, she switched to country post-show, but I assume you’re referring to the period of time when they were on the show.

But, I will vote within these parameters.

Chevel

Sundance, Chevel and Jake are country winners I like. I supposed Jake would have the least votes so I cast mine to him. Sundance probably was the most consistent out of the three and the best vocalist. Chevel probably had fewer subpar performances than Jake but Jake's moments > Chevel's moments.

1. Chevel was the most consistent, followed by Sundance, but Jake´s KO is still my favorite performance by someone from the first poll. Either way, I went with Chevel.

2. Sawyer was folk, I don´t remember him being country at all, if anything he´s closer to CCR or Neil Young, but not country. Either way, out of the three mentioned, he´s my favorite, so I picked him.

3. Overall, went with Sawyer.

How is Sawyer "country adjacent"?? Just asking, last time i checked none of the songs he sang on the show are classified as country

Anyway, Chevel is my pick. I also enjoyed Sundance a lot during his season.

I don't take country adjacent as someone who sings country. I take Country adjacent as someone who sounds like country(even if just a bit). I bet Sawyer got the country vote as well.

Sawyer does not sound country in the least. In fact, during his season, I spent quite a bit of time trying to find a country song he could cover and came up empty. Living on a farm, and looking like a little bit of a hayseed doesn’t count as country. :P He may have gotten some votes from country fans, but many people like both country and rock.

I'm not a fan, but Brynn did do a great job on a country song. Her voice is still not totally  suited for the genre as a whole, but I could see her tackling the pop/country lane that Kelsea Ballerini is in if she wanted to.

She was a pure pop artist on the show. (Her original bordered on bublegum pop), but I've listened to a couple of her songs post show and she seems to have gone into the singer/songwriter route.

She actually grew up listening to country, because that’s what her parents listen too, and is a fan of the genre herself. That’s probably why she can pull it off.

Yeah, that´s case for some non country contestants that have been on the show. They don´t sing country but are fans of it and could slip into it if they wanted to.

Michael Lee is an example that comes to my mind. I don´t know if Addison likes country, but I could see her in this category too. I´d say Jordan M. Young too but he actually does mix some country in there already.
