Score = 8.63 COMMENTS Rei Quote Yeah I've loved this since I can remember! I don't know how I ranked this during s10 (maybe Megan has the receipts) but in the following years it claimed the top 10 of my rankings and has stayer there. It is just an amazing routine. Jasmine does such a flawless job, and really no other routine was able to capture how skilled as a contemporary dancer Jasmine. Fik-Shun does also a great job and manages to kept up with the routine and Jasmine. Travis sucks but Jasmine and Fin-Shun shone here and I can not rank this anywhere other than #1 Derek Quote I spoke about this in the Superlatives game. Unreal. Megan Quote Jasmine Harper is so underrated as a lyrical dancer. And underrated in general. I mean that so seriously. It was true in Season 10 and it continues to be true. This routine didn't even crack TOP 40 in the IDF Rates the Routines. Jasmine MASON had more routines in IDF's Top 20 than Jasmine Harper. This routine is so so good. And I'm glad it got moved on immediately so that I wouldn't have to stress about it all game because watching the game go by clearly I would have had to! Hashtag Jasmine Harper deserves better from IDF!!!!!!! Kriti Quote I'm putting this a bit higher than I would because it was one of my true underrated faves.. but again.. it made it into the top 20 so idk anymore Wallace Quote This is a lovely and very pretty routine. But I've kinda struggled and wasn't really super invested into most of Jasmine Contemporary routines. Jasmine and Fik-Shun dances this beautifully together - nice connection and dancing with each other and nice side by side moves. Sadly, this was just one of those dances that bored and made me lose inteste more than it invested me. 3. Jasmine Harper & Aaron Turner - "Gold Rush" - (Hip-Hop by NappyTabs) Watched Here RANKINGS: Derek - 1 Kriti - 5 Wallace - 6 Gigi - 7 Megan - 10 Patryk - 10 Rei - 11 Zoey - 16 Avg. Score = 8.25 COMMENTS Derek Quote I have so many favorites it’s always hard to pick my #1 for Season 10 but this time it’s this one. This is one of my favorite moments ever. Jasmine and Aaron were having a super solid run but this is when EVERYONE had to admit that they were absolute frontrunners. STAR STAR STAR. Kriti Quote I haven't watched this routine in years but I barely need to, I have it memorised. Truly incredible. Wallace Quote Oooh yess, "Gold Rush" has always stood out as my favorite Jasmine & Aaron routine! I KNEW this would make the finals and if it didn't then something seriously would have been wrong with us, lmao. I'm usually critical and not as impressed with Aaron like some are, but I thought he slayed this dance and this wsas definitely my favorite dance he's done. And Jasmine? Of course she slayed and crushed this like the absolute star she is here. But yeah I loved the characters they played, how hard they crushed the choreography and the chemistry they had. This routine is just out of this world good and entertaining! I LOVE and live for the stepping moves they do on the instrumental par of the song. This dance also made me obsessed with (and download) this song for a short while too, haha. Megan Quote This is another after decades have past, I think I have to admit. "Tears Always Win" is the better Jasmine/Aaron hip-hop routine. That doesn't mean that this one isn't great because Jasmine and Aaron are great dancers who can perform good hip-hop choreography, but it's just not as good as I remember. Back in 2013 I did rate TAW at 9 and this one at 10 and I think now I'd flip those. I rank it higher than Amy/Fik-Shun whose choreography I probably like better because I like the dancing in this one more. Rei Quote I am with Megan here. Tear Always Win is the superior hip hop from Jasmine/Aaron but this is also great. 2. Jenna Johnson & Mark Kanemura - "I Am The Best" - (Pop-Jazz by Mark Kanemura) Watch Here RANKINGS: Patryk - 1 Megan - 1 Rei - 3 Kriti - 3 Derek - 4 Zoey - 10 Wallace - 17 Gigi - 19 Avg. Score = 7.25 COMMENTS Patryk Quote Ever since I watched this routine, I was immediately obsessed with it. It also made Mark move up in my rankings, making him my favourite from Season 4. This was pure Slayage. I don't think anyone sitting in the judging panel (or the audience really) was ready for the amount of gayness this routine has brought. And it invented a pretty much new, unique style. The staging, the song, the choreo (!!!) and the execution by Jenna and Mark were all iconic. Just flawless. Megan Quote WHY WAIT to start my write-ups TBQH. Honestly, this routine is like fundamentally life changing to me because it introduced me to KPOP. In fact I am going to change my avatar real quick from a witch with 100 abs to a KPOP avatar. Okay, back to my kpop BIAS. Anyway, you know how many times I listened to this song? Watched this routine? How many paragraphs I've sent to my friend on how YG (an enemy) treats their Girl Groups even though can you even name a YG boy group????? If 2NE1 comes back at any time you'll know because you will hear my screams. "Naega Jeil Jal Naga" basically runs through my head every day. But even more than that, it proved I would one day be RIGHT. Everybody is a Jenna truther now. But for a long time it was me and some person who was catfishing as like a black dancer who knew Jenna to the point that they catfished Jenna as the ONLY fans of Jenna on the board (well not only, but you get the gist). The DISRESPECT to Jenna even though she is one of the most talented dancers to ever be on this show. And all in this one moment I was VINDICATED. Jenna had danced arguably THE dance of the season to that point (and TBH still my dance of the season). It's just a very good, very unique for the show, and very fun jazz routine. Mark's a great choreographer and Jenna is a great performer. Anyway, I have the RECEIPTS from the IDF Rates the Routines from Season 10 so shoutout to @taylorkat who ranked this routine a ONE out of TEN. 2NE1 ARE REUNITING Rei Quote Iconic!! I do think this is a fun routine. Mark choreographed and performed a creative, fun and exciting routine. Jenna danced and delivered it well in how she performed this. This dance has grown on me overtime, though I am still not that passionate about it like most people are / like I am with most of the dances here. But this was a great moment for Jenna to end her SYTYCD run on. I also will say that Jenna works it with the usage of her braid here. LOL my competitive self just really hopes this doesn't pull off the win, which I fear it could as I could totally see this winning. So I've accepted that it can and am ready to look like Boo Boo the Fool. But if I can try to prevent that then well..... 1. Score = 4.25 COMMENTS Wallace Quote Two female dancers SLAYING a Hip-Hop to a Beyoncé song? SIGN ME UP. And also was there any other dance for me to put at #1 besides this one? Well with these season, yeahh... But still this is an obvious #1 dance of the season for me. I love Jasmine the most where she dances hip-hop dances. Comfort always slays and crushes it in Hip-Hop. But yeah I love the swagger, style and attitude they bring here. Also big props to Jasmine for being one of the few new dancers of their respective season that can keep up with Comfort in her all-star dances. They both slayed this and match each other's dancing style and energies so perfectly here. They mean and get down to BUSINESS here! Love how hard they hit their moves here too. Ooh and I bet it was this dance that got Jasmine a dancing gig on Beyoncé's tour(s), which is an incredible feat for a dancer! I just love everything about this dance. This dance is just so iconic and it's everything! Please let this win, IDF! Rei Quote It only took us 24 seasons to have a girl/girl routine so the same as the producers to have girl/girl routines in styles other than broadway. We use the word iconic too often here, but this is the best example of that. ICONIC!!! No in between. This is just very good hip-hop for this show. Barely a concept (thank god) and just letting two women dance the style. Thank goodness Beyoncé gave NappyTabs such a perfect song. Comfort is the best female hip-hop dancer that has been on this show and Jasmine is right up there with her. On the US show, this is one of my favorite hip-hop routines. Derek Quote You will never convince me that Jasmine didn’t objectively win this finale episode. The boss move of choosing hip-hop as her genre for her all star duet when she auditioned as a contemporary dancer… werk. “We’re gonna come in hard, we’re gonna roll on these bikes, and we gon’ mean business.” Has a truer sentence ever been spoken?
