Type of contestants you`d like to see on S21 (Multiple option)

Let`s be honest, the show right now relies on tropes, to the point where there`s a niche that offers a certain type of contestants each season. There`s one of this type almost in every single one. So discuss what type of artists would you like to see.

Not necessarily my thing but my Team Waffle friends deserve one, it's about time.

 

- A good pop female

If we get one, she's probably gonna be TCO so her run on the show should be fun to watch.

 

- A good Indie girl

The show always provide some, so hopefully one of them will be good enough for my liking. Especially her original music

For this season, I would mainly want to see a great 4 chair pop female as Ariana’s TCO.

A good country male: 

I’ve always wanted to stan a country male. Unfortunately, the opportunity has never presented itself.

 

A good country female: 

I’m more specifically looking for a country female powerhouse, but I won’t be too picky knowing how the casting has been over the years.

 

A good female pop singer: 

There have been good ones, but most of them either don’t do well or are robbed in the Knockouts…

 

A good indie girl: 

I tend to like contestants in this genre. I’m sure we’ll get at least one. 
 

A good indie guy: 

I NEED A NOAH MAC MOMENT AGAIN

 

???: 

I’d also like someone that doesn’t fit into one of these categories. I’m open to stan anyone.

We need more rock and blues on this show, of both genders. I also love my indie girls/guys so those too. A good RnB girl is also a staple of the show.

Old Female AA powerhouse

A good teenage boy

A female country artist

I`m looking for a good blues and rock artist, doesn`t matter if it`s a male or female. Always down for a good instrumentalist to go with it, but it`s obviously not neccesarily.

 

When it comes to country, I prefer the rugged sound of a male vocalist, and we`re definitely gonna get at least one this season. But we indeed are in need of a good country female too.

Indie and Rock/Alt girls. No exception, but also throw a female country vocalist or two in the ring. 

 

I can stan a pop girl too, an Indie guy could work as well. 

 

If a powerhouse/R&B singer is good and shows more versatility, I can accept, but recently they have been exhausting or underwhelming.

I picked all of them, except the instrumentalist. Playing instruments is a plus, but I care more about the contestants' voices. I'd be happy to see a good contestant of any of those "tropes."

I would most look forward to:

- Female Pop Singer

- Good R&B Girl/Guy

- AA Female Powerhouse

- Female Country Singer

- Indie Gal

The fact that a majority of the choices in the poll had to have the "good" qualifier.... are y'all implying that the genres that have that qualifier are inherently not good? LOL

Serious answer: I gravitate towards soul, indie and singer/songwriter types of male artists. TBH, I'm not really choosy about genre, I care more about them having a certain *soulful* quality to their voice.

I do wish for an operatic/classical male singer to actually go all the way on this show.

I suspect it was not as nefarious, and that all of them were meant to have "good" in front of them to refer to a contestant of that variety who is a frontrunner/goes far. Just a guess though lol

LOL. To IDF, every AA powerhouse will be good (even if they`re not) so why complicate things lol.

 

And we don`t even get any straight up blues artists on the show (Last time we got two was S15 if I`m correct).

Actually, I think that's exactly it. It's not that the other genres aren't inherently good, it's just that the AA artists and the blues artists are inherently good, LOL.

I'm sure there's no ill intent with the word choice, but it's a clear indication where IDF is at.

Speaking about blues, I think Sid is probably the closest one we`ve got since S15. (Jordan too but he barely took that route on the show). Someone like him would be more than welcome for me (and I`m sure for you). And hopefully to Minivan as well.

I'm honestly open to all type of artists, so I picked them all minus the instrumentalist type (I don't want yet another Laith Al Saadi ). As QueenCami stated above, playing instruments' just a plus for me

 

butt if specifically, I really want to stan a female country singer (more so the powerhouse one). There had been good male country singers (Kenzie, Jake, etc. imo) on the past seasons, now it's time for a female counterpart
