Also, i noticed someone that hasn't been mentioned here, so i'm gonna be the first one to do it even though he is not one of my favorites (Nothing wrong with him, just personal taste): Sasha Allen from Jim and SashaΒ

Β

I know some people didn't like the fact that he and his father made it as far as they did it, but something that we have to understand is that his presence on this show was very important: he is the first trans person to advance to the semifinal. I know some people won't see the importance of this, but the thing is, representation matters, and is great that so many young trans people got the chance to see someone like themselves succeding on a popular show like The Voice.

Β

Also, the fact that he got the chance to audition with his father as a duet, it's also really great. Jim became an example on how parents of LGBT+ kids should support them no matter what.Β

Β

So, yeah, even though i'm not a fan, i can't deny the impact Sasha and his father had on The Voice and it's audience. I wish them the best on their future projects.

Some people no one mentioned: Allegra Miles, Rayshun LaMarr, Johnny Bliss, Tyshawn Colquitt, Hannah Mrozak...

Β

Wait, when (and where) did Hannah Mrozak come out? I missed this! That's so exciting!

Β

Also, congrats to Sawyer - I just read about him in People magazine this morning! That's so cool. (BTW, it was in the Instagram post's comments where Sarah Potenza said she's bisexual too.)

And to answer the question - y'all already know how I feel about Stephanie Rice. One of my favorite contestants of all time, her performance of "Safe & Sound" is one of the most beautiful I've ever heard on the show, and I've worn out the MP3 of it. I also had the most massive crush on that woman while she was on the show lol.

Β

Cam Anthony, Michelle Chamuel, and Matthew Schuler are contenders (especially Matthew Schuler), and I actually really enjoyed Marisa Corvo (before the... well, you know).

Don't think I've seen De'Borah from season 3 mentioned yet (maybe some people just didn't see that season)

Β

Anyway, I can't remember the exact context or phrasing but I know she said it on the show. I was so mad when Xtina chose Adrianna instead.

Β

Also, I wasn't the biggest fan of Sasha on the show either, but I follow him on social media and he's hilarious lol

One person that hasnt been mentioned yet is Esera Tualo. Hes not my favourite singer but he's a good vocalist. Still, I always thought he had potential to be significantly better if he could work on his pitch, because he has the raw tools with a unique tone and a wide range.

Β

I also think his coming out was pretty important on a broader scale. He's the 3rd NFL player to come out as gay, and from my experience, sports environments aren't exactly the most LGBT+ friendly places.Β  Since then a few more players have followed suit, and finally had the first one come out as gay while still in the NFL fairly recently.
