ANTM Photos Mini-Rankdown (Cycle 23 - Rankings due Sunday)

We all knew this was bound to happen. And if I'm in charge, I can take as long as I want between rounds! Am I going to copy all of Alex's ideas and rules from the American Idol Mini-Rankdown??? Well, try and stop me!

 

We will be going cycle by cycle, cutting and saving the photographs until there are 20 left (probably 10 for Cycle 1... tbd). Then we will all submit individual rankings for those photographs to collectively decide the best photograph of each cycle. No write-ups required at any point.

 

As always, there is no criteria for judging the photographs. Use anything you want... how much you like a model as a person, how well a model did compared to the other models, how much improved a model was compared to their previous work, what you had for breakfast today, how well the model met the brief of the photoshoot, or just the general aesthetic of the image regardless of context. But we will not have separate photographs from each contestant if there is a group shot. We will strictly be ranking each image only, no repeats. For example, in Cycle 9 they had the final 4 pose together for a photograph at the Great Wall of China. The rankers will judge that full image against the other images in the cycle... not "Chantal in the group photo" vs. "Saleisha in the group photo" etc. 

 

TO THAT END: You do not necessarily need to have watched the show to participate. We will be judging the images only, and I will be posting the images in the thread. You don't have to watch performances on YouTube or do any research on other websites or whatever else y'all do for other Mini-Rankdowns. Also, that means you probably don't need a million weeks to submit your final rankings 

 

The one bonus is that I'm going to go ahead and reveal from the start: after we finish with all 24 cycles, we will have a final 25th cycle with the top ranked photographs to determine an overall winner. I don't have the rules exactly figured out yet, but right now I'm thinking it will be between the 24 winners, as well as the Top 76 other photographs with the best average scores from ANY cycle. Winning photographs would get a major advantage in the final cycle, like immunity until the final round or something. Stay tuned and feel free to share ideas.

Lol I had a feeling an ANTM Photos mini rankdown would happen.... and was something i had in mind/imagine would happen.  

 

Hmm I may participate in some cycles here and there (mostly the earlier ones). I'm hoping I can participate as a voter of the Top 20 though for cycles I don't join.
