You know how you get an ad playing while watching another video? Well NBC paid to get videos from the second round to play as ads. It’s dependent on an algorithm (checking user location and previous preferences) to determine which ad you get. I am very disappointed. But it certainly explains why a show with terrible ratings is suddenly getting so many YouTube “views”.

That's some cheesy slight of hand.

So its two hours later from the original post above. Woke up and Jordan was at 616,000 views and An hour later it had dropped to 612,000. Others also dropped by the same amount. Funny "Million Dollar Smoothies" didn't do either

Well I guess I won't have any need to watch ASC until the semi-finals. Unless I want to get a contact high from just looking at Snoop

That's the bottom line and the problem with this format. You know if Jordan wins this, TPTB on TV will use it and we'll have another 10 seasons

I used to think it would be very hard for Jordan to pull up a win against people like AleXa and Enisa but now, I think he has a fair chance. If he sings Gospel/Christian songs in next rounds he may have a chance.

Helenahandbasket said they sing the same song in all rounds. That makes since being the "prize"(lol) is "best original song" 

 

Personally I'd tell Jordan go for broke and strip the song bare for the Simi finales, but I'm sure they want you to keep to the original recorded version. But I'd love to see any of the other singers try that with their songs.

If our King makes the finals this is what I would like to see:

After 2 hours of increasingly elaborate stage productions, dance routines (lip synching worse than a drag show), and just ridiculous amounts of sound production, Jordan takes the stage alone. All the lights go out except a single spotlight on him. Then he begins to sing. 

a cappella.

There is no other sound except his voice. 
When he is done, the lights come up and the applause begins. The camera cut to Snoop and Kelly hugging. Tears of joy are rolling down their faces. It takes them several minutes to compose themselves. 
they both thank Jordan and Snoop says to the camera “You gotta be higher than me if you don’t think that’s going to win”

They used Jordan’s thumbnail on the week 2 compilation video I guess because he got the jury vote.  I may check out the beginning of the show tomorrow to see how the popular vote turned out (but probably won’t bother)

Yeah, some of them deserve it

Two more weeks of this qualifier stuff, ugh. How much lower can the ratings get? 

I don't think this show will be back if things don't improve fast.
