Crisis
1. Monster/T-Pain Season 1: First Place Monster - Don’t Stop Me Now Monster - I Don’t Want To Be Monster - American Woman Monster - I Love Rock 'N' Roll Monster - Stay With Me Monster - This Is How We Do It Monster Unmasking Topping the list is none other than the first TMS winner! Monster was exactly that: a monster of a contestant who had one of the best TMS runs of any contestant. He showed great versatility, as he shined on just about any genre and tempo. He was someone who I looked forward to on the nights he performed. As for the costume, it’s one of the most basic designs out there if I’m to be honest. There really isn’t anything about it that stands out compared to some of the other costumes, but it all came together if that makes sense. Having said that, it’s more about whoever is in the costume and not the costume itself. With this said, it’s time to look at Monster’s run and how he rampaged his way to the S1 title. Monster started off by singing the Queen classic Don’t Stop Me Now. It was such a fun performance and a great way to start off what would be a winning run. I would say he had the best performance of the night although Peacock was right there with him. If I could find one fault about the performance, it was the dancers’ costumes. They killed their routines as always, but looking at them was kind of jarring. Anyway, despite his performance, Monster found himself in the B3 that week after losing the head-to-head against Unicorn. I thought he was much better than her; however, the voters thought otherwise. Regardless, he survived it and gave another strong performance of I Don’t Want To Be the next time he took the stage. It may not have been as energetic as his first performance, but it was still great because it showcased a lot of his range. Speaking of such, the most memorable part of the performance was probably the glory note he hit towards the end. The last thing I’ll say about this performance is that it was probably the moment when Monster became a legitimate contender to win the crown. Next, he gave yet another fun performance of American Woman. Here, he had a dance break in which he showed off some nice moves. Also, the American Monster leather jacket was a nice touch. With that said, I didn’t enjoy the performance as much as I wanted to despite how good Monster sounded. The main reason is because I have never been a fan of the Lenny Kravitz version of American Woman and have always preferred the original version. Nonetheless, it was still one of the best performances of the night. Deciding to stay in the rock lane, Monster next sang I Love Rock ‘N’ Roll, which is my least favorite performance of his. It wasn’t as enjoyable to me as his others, plus I thought it lacked something. With that said, Monster at his worst was better than a lot of acts at their best. In addition, the star over the eye and the prop guitar was a nice touch to his costume and helped him try to look like a rock star. His next performance is considered to be his best and one of the best TMS performances of all-time; in fact, it was ranked #1 in the special episode a couple of weeks back. Of course, I’m talking about Stay With Me. For those who have come to know me, it’s no secret I am not a Sam Smith fan to put it lightly. I went into the performance expecting not to care for it because of the song and singer. However, while I probably wouldn’t have it as my #1 TMS performance thus far, I can see why it’s considered to be one of the best. Monster bared his heart and put a lot of soul into the song. I easily prefer his version to Sam Smith’s. He made it to the finals where he went back to his up-tempo side and gave a fun and energetic performance of This Is How We Do It. Not only was he vocally on point, he showed off some nice footwork as well; I cracked up at it the first time. After everything was said and done, I knew it would be between him and Peacock for the title although an argument could’ve been made for all three finalists. Nonetheless, Monster was crowned the winner and was unmasked as T-Pain. What was hilarious was none of the panelists got him; I guessed they weren’t used to hearing him without the autotune. Speaking of autotune, I wonder why he uses it so much. He has a brilliant voice, and I would love to hear him record an album or at least a few songs with only his voice. Finally, it was easy to see how much winning meant to him because it validated he wasn’t just some no-talent hack who relied on autotune, and for that I was happy to see him win. While there have been some great acts over the soon to be six seasons of TMS, Monster is the one I have enjoyed the most thus far and that plus his arc is the reason he’s my favorite TMS act over the first five seasons. 01. I may or may not do a brief ranking of the acts from the first season of The Masked Dancer as well as the S6 acts of The Masked Singer when the season's over. I moved recently and am still in the process of settling in, so my activity in this forum will be spotty.
jdanton2
i did not watch the first season so i missed T Pain's run. as a rapper doing mostly non rap songs it must have been a surprise to most it was him. interestingly a few weeks back the show did a countdown of the most popular past contestants and T Pain's Monster was #1 on that list as well. Fair enough about Rottweiler and the studio audience. There's always next time. 03. Seahorse/Tori Kelly: I'm so pleasantly surprised to see Seahorse at #3. I had no idea she was such a big favorite of yours, but I'm a huge Tori Kelly fan, so I loved her as well. I also really enjoyed her costume, but loved her performances. Her voice is just one of my all-time favorites. I can't get enough. "the cacti dancing definitely did their thing although I didn’t really see the relevance to the performance." Ahhh, her MHWGO performance was certainly a standout and one of my overall favorites from the entire show. I loved it so much. I also just love that song, but she was incredible with it. I hated how the format did her in. I agree her final performance wasn't really a "get into the finals" performance and it was my least favorite of hers, even though it was still great. And I hated that she was up against Crocodile, since they were my two favorites. I felt Seahorse deserved so much better and is still one of the best we've seen. Tori is such an amazing vocalist though so I'm glad she got to show more people that. 02. Sun/LeAnn Rimes: It's interesting and impressive that Seahorse and Sun are back to back on your ranking. Sun really was amazing from the start and I really enjoyed her too. "It looked like the face was upside down; either that or it didn’t get any sleep because those looked like some serious bags underneath those eyes. " Oh my. Interesting thought about her possibly peaking too early and her first performance being finals worthy. That's such a compliment. And she definitely maintained her consistency to the end. " The only negative was the two creepy centaur statues on stage" "Pretty much all she had to do was not completely crap the bed and she would’ve advanced to the finals." Wow, interesting observation about the panel not saying anything during one of her performances... and it possibly being the only time it has happened. I never would have realized. But I agree, she really dominated in a strong season and I wasn't surprised she won. I knew her identity early on, but mostly because I was spoiled. I love that she bookended the season. Ugh, and the Katharine guess was ridiculous given how different their voices are. I was too interested in seeing the #1 write-up! Sorry I've been so inactive and bad at keeping up. 01. Monster/T-Pain: It seems fitting to have the original winner at #1, even if he's not my personal favorite. But he's great and versatile, as you said. I thought the costume was really cute. I also had no idea he was T-Pain, aside from being spoiled about it. Whoa, I forgot he landed in the B3 the first week. What a comeback. Stay With Me is definitely the performance of his I remember most and my favorite of his. It pulled at the heartstrings. I can't remember what I thought during the finals, but I want to say I thought he would win... even though I did prefer Peacock. So true about the autotune and it would be great if he recorded at least some songs without it. But he definitely proved himself and showed everyone how well he can truly sing. I totally agree and understand your love of him and his time on the show. Great list, as always! Again, I'm so sorry how horrible I was at keeping up, but please know I thoroughly enjoyed reading through and commenting on your list, as I always do. It was a lot of fun and you did a great job (as always, too )! On 11/26/2021 at 9:50 AM, Crisis said: Happy Thanksgiving and I hope you have a wonderful holiday as well. Honestly, I'm surprised I placed her this high myself. I realized I enjoyed her journey more than I thought when re-watching the performances and making the list. It is a bummer she didn't make it to the finals. However, I did see people having newfound appreciation and respect for her vocal prowess and thus, things didn't seem too bad for her despite not being in the finals. 02. Unlike Seahorse, I knew Sun was my #2 from the beginning. It is interesting how they placed back-to-back. I agree about her being amazing from the start and just about everything else written. Yeah, Robin being adamant about her being Katharine was something. Ironically, he didn't guess her this season when everyone and their mother knew it was her. No worries. I haven't been very active myself. 01. I agree with just about everything except not being one of your personal favorites (obviously ). Don't worry; no one (outside of Nick apparently) knew it was T-Pain either. Yeah, him landing in the B3 that first week was surprising, but it worked out for him in the end. Thank you. I know it's been difficult being active, but at least I know you would get around to following and commenting on everything eventually. Once again, thank you. At least one of the avatars was changed. Crisis
Now that S6 is in the books, I'll rank all of the acts from said season. I'll try to start this tonight or tomorrow.
Crisis
I know I said I would start the S6 Ranking Monday evening or yesterday, but life happens. As with the main list, this ranking will be mostly based on what they did on the show. With that said, I'll start with my B4. 16. Beach Ball/Honey Boo Boo and Mama June Beach Ball - Party In The USABeach Ball Unmasking Yeah, Beach Ball is an easy last place for me. While the idea was innovative, the execution left a lot to be desired. The costume was on the creepy side with the moving eyes and mouth as well as it being two-faced. In addition, the lone performance was not anything to write home about either; in fact, I thought it was the worst performance of the season and one of the worst of all-time. The act made TMS infamy by being the first wildcard act to be eliminated after one performance. Beach Ball was unmasked as Honey Boo Boo and Mama June. The one positive thing I’ll say is that at least it looked like they had fun. 15. Dalmatian/Tyga Dalmatian - Beautiful Dalmatian Unmasking It’s pretty well known that I enjoy rappers on TMS. With that said, while I didn’t dislike him, I can’t say I was a fan of his either, at least as much as the other acts from the season. I will say his costume was very well designed. The idea of a dalmatian in a football uniform was nice. His performance was OK although I have never been a fan of the song. In addition, his reaction after learning he was eliminated was pretty funny. He was unmasked as Tyga and someone I didn’t recognize from the beginning (neither did anyone else outside of Nick apparently). I think he would’ve made it past the first round if he were in Group A, but Group B had tougher competition. 14. Mother Nature/Vivica A. Fox Mother Nature - I'm Coming Out Mother Nature - Unmasking First, the costume is one of the most elaborately designed ones TMS has ever created. Having all of that green and branches expand from her really gave her that idea of being one with nature. Her performance was fun; however, I spent most of the time watching the whack-a-mole action rather than Mother Nature herself. She was part of the double elimination in the first episode but was not revealed until the second episode. She was none other than Vivica A. Fox. As with most of the acts, she gave a valiant effort; however, the competition was pretty strong and she was one of the acts that was not as strong as most of the others. 13. Hamster/Rob Schneider Hamster - Oh, Pretty Woman Hamster - Crazy Little Thing Called Love Hamster - Sabor A Mi Hamster Unmasking Hamster brought the entertainment during his time on TMS. The costume was cute, especially with the headphones. His first two performances (Oh, Pretty Woman and Crazy Little Thing Called Love) were fun, but it was his third performance (Sabor a Mi) that showed he had some singing chops. Sabor a Mi was his final performance as he was unmasked as Rob Schneider at the end of the night (Jenny’s lone correct First Impression guess ). I liked how he was such a good sport about being on the show, and him saying one of his most legendary lines at the end was a great way for him to go out. 16. Beach Ball/Honey Boo Boo and Mama June: 15. Dalmatian/Tyga: 14. Mother Nature/Vivica A. Fox: 13. Hamster/Rob Schneider: Edited December 27, 2021 by Crisis

I'm definitely glad more people appreciate her and her talent now! - How funny. lol sooooooo true about Robin. And what was up with him insisting that wasn't his Uncle David? And then after the reveal, he said how he made his signature hand gesture or something from the start. He made no sense. - lol. I'd love to know all of Nick's guesses since he often seems to know people. Awww yay. I'm glad you still had faith in me! You're very welcome. Haha mine is changed now too. Maybe you recognize it from last year. Ooh a season 6 ranking! Beach Ball would definitely be last for me too. I liked Dalmatian and would have enjoyed seeing more of him. I don't think I cared much for Mother Nature (lol that's a weird thing to say ). And Hamster was cute, but I don't remember what I thought of the performances. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! Happy Holidays, all-around!

I'm glad to see you're glad. - Yeah, I didn't get the whole Uncle David thing. I thought Ken was the one who mentioned the signature hand gesture; I'll have to re-watch to be sure. Definitely agree about Robin not making any sense. - Yes, they need to have a First Impression thing for him. I think I recognized this avatar from last year. Well, now I added write-ups for the B4. At least we agree on last place this season. I certainly did. I hope you had a Happy Holidays as well!
Crisis
12. Cupcake/Ruth Pointer Cupcake - Heatwave Cupcake - Finesse Cupcake Unmasking Cupcake is a bit of a wildcard to me. Although I enjoy cupcakes, this costume was one I couldn’t sink my teeth into. I thought it was too colorful and the face looked off. As for her performances, they were solid although the voice threw me off at first. I thought the voice was masculine, and my mind immediately went to RuPaul. However, I changed my mind because RuPaul is much taller than how Cupcake appeared. I then thought of Billy Porter, but I remembered The Pointer Sisters had some deep singing voices and my mind immediately went to one of them. I was proven correct because Cupcake was indeed Ruth Pointer. Apparently, she and Anita were to be a duet, but Anita couldn’t do it because of health issues. I wonder what this act would’ve been like had they performed together. 11. Caterpillar/Bobby Berk Caterpillar - If I Were A Boy Caterpillar - It's Gonna Be Me Caterpillar - Friends In Low Places Caterpillar Unmasked Caterpillar is someone who I had no strong feelings toward; he was just there for me. His costume was something with the long body and braces. Unfortunately, although he had a decent voice, his performances didn’t really resonate with me. The most memorable thing about him was Jenny using the Take It Off Buzzer on him and guessed he was Jake Gyllenhaal (which of course she got wrong ). Caterpillar begged Jenny not to use it, but it seemed like he was a good sport about it. Nonetheless, he was unmasked at the end of the episode as Bobby Berk. I’ve never watched an episode of Queer Eye, so I was unfamiliar with him. With that said, he appeared to enjoy his time there, so good for him. 10. Jester/Johnny Rotten Jester - School's Out Jester - I Am A Man Of Constant Sorrow Jester Unmasked Jester was one of the more interesting acts to say the least. First, his costume was definitely one of the creepiest, with the most notable features being the menacing face, swirling mouth, and beer gut. He brought a lot of entertainment with his two performances, the latter being something completely off base for him because he gave off a punk rock vibe in his first performance. That proved to be correct because he was unmasked as punk rock legend and former Sex Pistols frontman Johnny Rotten. He was one who stumped me, for I thought he was someone like Jack Black at first. 9. Baby/Larry The Cable Guy Baby - You're The First, The Last, My Everything Baby - Meet The Flintstones Baby Unmasked I will say Baby was one of the more unique costumes in TMS history albeit a bit on the creepy side. The idea of someone dressed as a large toddler never came to mind. His first performance was fine; however, it was his second performance that propelled him into my Top 10. Him singing the theme song from The Flintstones was absolutely iconic , and it makes me wish for more TV theme songs to be sung on the show. It would be his last performance as he was revealed to be Larry The Cable Guy. Interestingly enough he was guessed in previous seasons (not to mention being Robin’s First Impression guess for Mallard), but no one guessed him here. Me, I kind of figured it was him from the beginning. 12. Cupcake/Ruth Pointer: 11. Caterpillar/Bobby Berk: 10. Jester/Johnny Rotten: 09. Baby/Larry The Cable Guy:
Crisis
8. Mallard/Willie Robertson Mallard - Save A Horse, Ride A Cowboy Mallard - My House Mallard - Play Something Country Mallard - Fly Mallard Unmasking Mallard is someone who I didn't pay much attention to during the season but has since grown on me to make it to this spot. His costume was well designed, especially with the top hat and monocle. His performances were fine, with my personal favorite being My House if only because it was so out of the box for him. He was eliminated along with Caterpillar in the double elimination before the Group B Finals and was revealed to be Willie Robertson. Although I’ve heard of Duck Dynasty, I’ve never watched an episode; therefore, I had no idea who he was. I believe there was a poster who was able to discern his identity early in the season, and to that I say great to that poster. 7. Pufferfish - Toni Braxton Pufferfish - Say So Pufferfish - Levitating Pufferfish Unmasked Pufferfish was a fun act and one I would’ve loved to see last much longer than she did. Her costume was well designed and I liked the color scheme. Her two performances were entertaining although Say So was a bit on the messy side. She showed off some versatility by singing and rapping in both of her performances. Unfortunately, she was eliminated in the second episode and was revealed to be Toni Braxton. I knew it was her from the clues and voice despite her trying to disguise the latter. I will give her credit for performing with two masks (her main one and another underneath it) due to her lupus condition; I know that couldn’t have been easy, especially with all of the movements she did during her performances. 6. Octopus/Dwight Howard Octopus - Tutti Frutti Octopus Unmasking For starters, Octopus is certainly the tallest act to appear on TMS thus far. His costume was cool with the hat, tentacles underneath the hat, and shades. His lone performance of Tutti Frutti was really fun and energetic. Sadly, it wasn’t enough to make it past the first round as he was eliminated later that evening and was unmasked as NBA player Dwight Howard. I knew it was him early on, and Ken did as well as Howard was his First Impression guess. That was no surprise because Ken is on the mark when it comes to athletes on the show. It’s too bad Octopus was the first eliminated because I thought he was good enough for at least one more performance. 5. Pepper/Natasha Bedingfield Pepper - Jealous Pepper - No Tears Left To Cry Pepper - Sign Of The Times Pepper Unmasking At #5 is the last S6 Wildcard to appear. Costume-wise, I have mixed feelings. The face is on the creepy side; however, the rest of the costume wasn’t too bad. In addition, the red and yellow color scheme blended together well enough. As for the performances, Pepper gave some very good ones although I wasn’t familiar with any of the songs she sang. My personal favorite was Jealous because it really showcased her voice. She was eliminated right before the Group A Finals and was unmasked as Natasha Bedingfield. I know some of her fans guessed her from the beginning, and I had a slight feeling it was her. She may have gone further in another season; however, Bull and Skunk were really strong acts and were difficult to overcome. 08. Mallard/Willie Robertson: 07. Pufferfish/Toni Braxton: 06. Octopus/Dwight Howard: 05. Pepper/Natasha Bedingfield:

I thought Ken was the one who mentioned the signature hand gesture; I'll have to re-watch to be sure. Definitely agree about Robin not making any sense. I think I recognized this avatar from last year. Well, now I added write-ups for the B4. At least we agree on last place this season. I certainly did. I hope you had a Happy Holidays as well! - I could have sworn it was Robin and that's why I was so confused. Let me know if you did/do end up watching it back. Haha yep, that was the one. Ooh, I'll go check them out in a bit and see if I have any more thoughts! I'm glad to hear it. I did as well, thank you. Okay, I'm going to edit these comments in here so things will be in order. 16. Beach Ball/Honey Boo Boo and Mama June: I pretty much agree with everything. I think I remember Nick saying something about "have we saved the best wildcard for last?" and then... that performance happened. 15. Dalmatian/Tyga: I love dogs and the combination of a Dalmatian and football player. As I mentioned, I really liked his performance and would have enjoyed seeing more of him. 14. Mother Nature/Vivica A. Fox: This costume kind of creeped me out. I don't think I was much a fan of the performance either. "I spent most of the time watching the whack-a-mole action rather than Mother Nature herself." 13. Hamster/Rob Schneider: The costume is so cute. I liked him, although as usual, I had no idea who he was. lol 12. Cupcake/Ruth Pointer: Whoa, I kind of forgot all about her. I love cupcakes though. Ooh okay, I remember the masculine sounding voice. I'm not familiar with the Pointer Sisters at all though, so I never would have got this. 11. Caterpillar/Bobby Berk: I'm also not familiar with Bobby Berk, but I thought the caterpillar costume was cute. "His costume was something with the long body and braces." OMGGG Jenny was such a mess with that guess and using the buzzer. I could not even believe it. 10. Jester/Johnny Rotten: Another person I don't know. Jester was pretty scary, but also interesting. I kind of would have liked to see more of him. 09. Baby/Larry The Cable Guy: omg BABY! Hahaha I loved him for no reason. Haha maybe something to do with what you said on his Flintstones performance, although I was stanning from his first appearance. I just remember my mom texting me to say "bye baby" or something after it. It's so crazy when someone is unmasked as someone the panel has previously guessed a ton. 08. Mallard/Willie Robertson: I loved this costume. I know of Willie, but not well enough to ever guess this was him (although I was spoiled on it). I did enjoy him though. 07. Pufferfish/Toni Braxton: Oh yeah, her performing with two masks is really impressive. I'm not crazy about this costume and don't think I cared much for her performances either... but I mostly remember Nick going on about how mad everyone was going to be once she was unmasked, lol. 06. Octopus/Dwight Howard: Wait, why do I not remember him at all? Maybe because of only one performance but I'm so confused. I kind of like the costume though. Ahh and yeah, you're really right about Ken being so good with the athletes. 05. Pepper/Natasha Bedingfield: I was really impressed with Pepper right from the start. I was spoiled on her identity, but wish I could have figured it out... even though I doubt I would have. But I really like her voice and thought she did great on the show. It looks like it's been retired again, maybe until the next holiday season... It looks like you did just that. 16. That was something when Nick saying they may have saved the best wildcard for last. Maybe the best bad wildcard performance. 15. Fair enough about him. 14. I can see how creepy the costume could be. Glad to see some amusement about my whack-a-mole comment. 13. I agree about the costume being cute. Maybe not much of an Adam Sandler fan because he (Hamster) appeared in a number of his movies. 12. I don't think many outside of their genre would've been familiar with The Pointer Sisters. I listened to their music quite a bit plus Oakland represent! I wished she were better or see her and her sister as a duo as initially planned. 11. Yeah, Jenny acting the way she did with the buzzer was something. I was afraid they were going to use it on Banana Split and guessed them correctly. 10. Fair enough about him. 09. Now I'm hoping for someone to sing the Gilligan's Island and/or Diff'rent Strokes themes on the show. LOL at your mother's text. It is crazy how that happens. 08. Fair enough 07. It certainly was. Nick was all y'all don't know who this is at the time of her unmasking. 06. Sadly, he was the first act eliminated, so unless your an iconic muppet you most likely will be forgotten. 05. Pretty much agree here. Of course, I forgot to mention Ken using the Take It Off buzzer on her and guessing she was Sara Barielles. I will try to have the last four up by tomorrow. Crisis
4. Queen Of Hearts/Jewel Queen Of Hearts - Born This Way Queen Of Hearts - La Vie en rose Queen Of Hearts - River Queen Of Hearts - She's Got You Queen Of Hearts - Bird Set Free Queen Of Hearts - Dream On (Duet With Nicole Scherzinger) Queen Of Hearts - What's Going On Queen Of Hearts - Firework Queen Of Hearts Unmasking Kicking off the final four in this ranking is the S6 winner. I wasn’t a fan of her costume at first - especially with the one eye, blue lips, and crown being prominently on the left side - but it grew on me as the season progressed. While she wasn’t what you would call an energetic performer, at least compared to some of the others, she was very consistent and had some very strong performances en route to her victory. My favorites of hers are La Vie en rose and River. In addition, her Dream On duet with Nicole was very good. After winning the crown, she was revealed to be none other than Jewel. Admittedly, I hoped Banana Split made the finals, but I liked QoH as well despite being my least favorite of the final four and have no issues with her victory. 3. Skunk/Faith Evans Skunk - Diamonds Skunk - It's A Man's Man's Man's World Skunk - Midnight Train To Georgia Skunk - Square Biz Skunk - At Last Skunk - I Never Loved A Man (The Way I Love You) Skunk - Ain't No Mountain High Enough (Duet With Michael Bolton) Skunk Unmasking At #3 is Skunk. Skunk has one of the most majestic costumes, IMO. I especially loved the flowing dress and liked that they kept the black and white color scheme; there was nothing foul about this costume (OK, I’ll see myself out). As a performer, Skunk was a serious vocal powerhouse. She had some of the most powerful and soulful performances, with my favorites being It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World, Square Biz, and the Ain’t No Mountain High Enough duet with Michael Bolton despite Bolton moving like he had two Lincoln Logs for legs. She was eliminated in the Group A Finals and was revealed to be Faith Evans. I kind of figured it was her from the beginning and became more sure as more clues came out. She’s someone else who could’ve been a finalist, but the competition was tough at that point. 2. Banana Split/David Foster & Katharine McPhee-Foster Banana Split - A Million Dreams Banana Split - Cry Me A River Banana Split - Let 'Er Rip Banana Split - Poker Face Banana Split - Singin' In The Rain Banana Split - Don't You Worry 'Bout A Thing (Duet With Robin Thicke) Banana Split Unmasking One the sweetest acts to appear on TMS comes in at the penultimate spot. Their costumes were cute and fun. I especially liked the heart-shaped eyes on Banana. Lastly, their promo picture is cute with Split doing well, the splits. I enjoyed all of their performances in some form or another, for they showed great variety by mixing up ballads and uptempo songs. I especially loved A Million Dreams, Cry Me A River, and Poker Face. Their duet with Robin was pretty solid, with Robin really showing off some strong vocals. Sadly, they were eliminated in the Group B Finals and were unmasked as David Foster and Katharine McPhee-Foster. I knew it was them from the first note; otherwise, I would’ve turned in my fan card fat chance that would happen. Of course I was rooting for them to make the overall finals, but it wasn’t meant to be. Nonetheless, they had a great run. Based on the act themselves, they would have a strong chance of being my #1 (mainly because of one half of the act; guess who could that be ). 1. Bull/Todrick Hall Bull - Drops Of Jupiter Bull - What Hurts The Most Bull - Circus Bull - Make You Feel My Love Bull - Rain On Me Bull - Straight Up Bull - Breakeven (Duet With Jesse McCartney) Bull - You Gotta Be Bull - Invisible Bull Unmasking At #1 is the act who took the competition by the horns but was slayed in the end. Bull’s costume was great, especially with the nose rings, cape, and gold embellishments all over it. Bull was certainly a captivating performer who left it all on the stage. He seamlessly transitioned from energetic uptempo numbers to emotional ballads. My favorites from him are What Hurts The Most, Circus, To Make You Feel My Love, and You Gotta Be. His duet with Jesse McCartney was also good. He finished as the runner up and was unmasked as Todrick Hall. I kind of figured it was him from the beginning. Also, Nicole knowing who he was from the start but keeping it under wraps was kind of amusing. This is a classic case of me ranking an act based on what they do on the show because I am not a Todrick Hall fan whatsoever outside of it. Nonetheless, he was a great performer and managed to edge out Banana Split for the S6 #1 spot. 04. Queen Of Hearts/Jewel: 03. Skunk/Faith Evans: 02. Banana Split/David Foster & Katharine McPhee-Foster: 01. Bull/Todrick Hall: Recap of S6 Ranking: 16. Beach Ball/Honey Boo Boo and Mama June 15. Dalmatian/Tyga 14. Mother Nature/Vivica A. Fox 13. Hamster/Rob Schneider 12. Cupcake/Ruth Pointer 11. Caterpillar/Bobby Berk 10. Jester/Johnny Rotten 09. Baby/Larry The Cable Guy 08. Mallard/Willie Robertson 07. Pufferfish/Toni Braxton 06. Octopus/Dwight Howard 05. Pepper/Natasha Bedingfield 04. Queen Of Hearts/Jewel 03. Skunk/Faith Evans 02. Banana Split/David Foster & Katharine McPhee-Foster 01. Bull/Todrick Hall That's it for S6! Ahh that's what I thought, but didn't he say it in a way as if it was obvious (despite himself not guessing it based on that)? Maybe. - Maybe so. - I don't mind Adam Sandler, but I'm not a huge movie person in general. - It sure was. Oooh no. Thank goodness they were nice to let them stay the whole time instead. - That would be amazing. lol yes! - - omg right? I could not even with him. 04. Queen Of Hearts/Jewel: Ooh I didn't have any real strong feelings on her costume either way. But I was always impressed with her performances, despite me not recognizing her voice as Jewel. I know some of her music, but I guess not well enough. She stood in the way of you getting a Kat and Nicole duet though. 03. Skunk/Faith Evans: Her costume really is beautiful. Don't see yourself out. My mind is on vacation apparently because I didn't even remember her making the final four. She had a ton of great performances, but was never a particular favorite for me. OMG your Michael Bolton comment. I am not familiar with Faith Evans at all, outside of recognizing her name, so I could never have guessed her. 02. Banana Split/David Foster & Katharine McPhee-Foster: I just love these duo and trio acts! And this one seemed too obvious... even to the point that most of the panel knew their identities so early on. The costumes were cute too. to knowing from the first note. I was rooting for them too and it was great to get so many performances out of Katharine. And I am surprised this act is not #1! 01. Bull/Todrick Hall: Bull was my favorite of the season too. I'm disappointed I was spoiled on his identity, but I never would have guessed it anyway. But yes, I agree he was a great performer, as well as single. His duet with Jesse! JESSE! Performance of the season! But ooh you knew this was Todrick from the start. You're so good. Aww I loved how Nicole knew from the beginning too. That makes me curious to watch back all her ~guesses~ from the weeks. Ahh yes, I definitely see how you're ranking the acts solely on their time on the show. That is very clear here. Great ranking, as always! I'm sorry my comments were so late (also as always ). But I thoroughly enjoyed seeing your rankings and reading all your thoughts! Maybe. - - I see. - It would've given me another reason to dislike Jenny if it did happen. - Eh, it's his schtick, so it shouldn't have been surprising. It didn't make it any less amusing, however. 04. Great, now I have another reason to be bitter towards QoH. That would've made my night had I survived it. In all seriousness, I don't disagree with much of what was said here. 03. Fair enough. It's easy not to be familiar with her if you don't listen to her genre all that much. 02. Maybe one of these days one of these types of acts will make the finale let alone win. Yeah, it seemed to be too obvious. Happy to see you were rooting for them, and it was great to see so many performances from them. You know by now although I adore the living daylights out of Katharine I don't always put her at the top of everything. With that said, they would've been first had Bull not been in the same season. 01. Good to see he was your favorite as well! Why am I not surprised at your reaction to the Bull/Jesse duet? Yeah, I kind of figured it out from his performance style. It was interesting to see Nicole knowing who he was from the beginning. It made me think why she didn't use the Golden Buzzer on him. I guess it was only for comedic purposes and she wanted him to have as many performances as possible. Thank you for the last sentence. As I said before, it's OK. True but it was to a whole new extreme with this move. - Oh oops, but I thought you already had that idea. We'd have made sure there was CPR on hand for you! - Yes that would be so fun, assuming we're fans of them. I agree! Yes, I can see that. - I love that we agree! Probably because it's not surprising. Ahh I see, I'm just literally not familiar with him outside from his time on Idol forever ago. So I could never. Yeah, that is a really interesting question but I would also guess because she wanted him to succeed and stay throughout the season. It would be a bit rude to cut his time short just to gain some panel points. Aww.
