Can I get the lowdown on this season?

Yo.

 

I've been neglecting Idol ever since that stay-at-home season. I was just going to check WNTS to see what the top rated performances have been and go from there, but WNTS took a page out of my book, apparently.

 

So... what have been the standout performances - has there been an actual Moment™? Who is going to win? Who is IDF's fav? Who is IDF's punching bag? etc.

It looks to be a country guy who will win while IDF fights over 2 girls. some like both the girls but mostly not. There is 1 young and 1 older girl so many factors. There has been no moment but bottom line is a WGWG is going to win most likely. The IDF fav is Casey but most think this is her week to go home.

I agree with everything that aaronjudge said except for the fact that there were no "moments". Id say Graces "When We Were Young" or "Into The Unknown", Willies "Stand Up", and Caseys "Black Hole Sun" or "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" were all pretty powerful moments.

I haven't paid much attention to this season, either. It's been the most drama-infused season since daddy Nigel left, with one contestant dropping out, one getting arrested immediately after being eliminated, and just this past week a contestant was ejected due to a racial controversy.

 

Also Arthur came back for a few weeks but then he left again.

If there was any moment Somewhere over the rainbow was the best but again its asking fans of contestants so each person is going to think differently but in another 8 days it will all be over and with the way Gabby is going it really pays to lose more then win.

The prediction thread and the who is going home thread have Casey as the one going home. I surely hope not but seems to be the IDF choice weather they like her or not.

IDF It Girl = Casey, although Grace is popular on here, too. 

 

Casey is the 'rocker girl", although she's mixed it up (e.g. Somewhere under the rainbow).

 

Grace is the 'diva', although she's done a lot of newer, upbeat songs, too.

 

Willie is basically Reuben 2.0 -- voice is silky smooth, but basically only does ballads.

 

Chayce is the last WGWG, and I think a talented one. 

 

Most of the "punching bags" have left the competition (e.g. Caleb, Arthur, etc). 

 

IMO, for whatever it's worth, I think this is a great top 4. That being said, I don't think there have been any moments yet.

Any of the Top 4 can win. I think their performances are going to be the deciding factor on who wins, because all of them have dedicated fan-bases. The winner will need the support of casual viewers.

the tact that Just Sam (poc girls)  won againts 4 WGWG still give me hope Casey can wins.

Yeah, I think its weird for people to tell others its "Not cool" when someone predicts their favorite will go home. Everybody is at risk of going home tonight and Casey isnt an exception.

Yeah, even as someone who will be solely voting Casey tonight, I agree. Could be anybody going home. Although I think Chayce has the least chance of going home (10%) while the others are all 30%
