+Dany Posted May 14, 2021 Posted May 14, 2021 https://deadline.com/2021/05/american-song-contest-u-s-version-of-eurovision-nbc-1234756361/ https://eurovisionworld.com/esc/american-song-contest-set-to-take-place-in-2022 American Song Contest to take place in 2022. NBC, one of the three big television networks in America, have secured the deal for an American Song Contest and will be co-produced between Propagate and Universal Television Alternative Studio, with the executive producer of "The Voice" US version. Similar to Eurovision, the contest will feature live performance from 50 American states with 5 United States territories and Washington, D.C competing to win the country's vote for the "Best Original Song" For each state, an artist, duo, DJ or a band will participate by performing an original song, just like Eurovision but in America. The major difference between the Eurovision Song Contest and the American Song Contest is that the live shows will consist of three rounds rather than semi-finals and a Grande Finale as we are accustomed to. The artists chosen will compete in a series of Qualifying Rounds, followed by Semi-Finals and the Grand Finale where one state or territory will life the trophy. In terms of voting, the American Song Contest will be similar to Eurovision as besides the public vote, a jury of music industry professionals will be involved in the competition. The submissions process to represent each state or territory is already underway and welcomes all varieties of music including country, dance, electronic, pop, rap, R&B, rock and more. https://www.nbcumv.com/mediavillage/interactive/2929fed4187b40648b79a9839e70e91fproduct169208/index.html#/brand/9e1d45af-02d1-4b13-8bba-4939e0de5e79/press-releases/de617e6c-4ee7-49be-b572-3179795f2029 MIDSEASON/SUMMER: Meaning Winter/Spring or Summer 2022 Press Page (Empy right now) https://www.nbcumv.com/mediavillage/interactive/2929fed4187b40648b79a9839e70e91fproduct169208/index.html#/show/45b40c7e-b7eb-436d-beba-784a3c2bf0f5/photos 1

+Dany Posted May 28, 2021 Author Posted May 28, 2021 From the Artist page If you are selected as a participant, you will need to be available to the production for approximately four (4) weeks (possibly longer or shorter) sometime between on or about February 11, 2022, through and including on or about April 12, 2022 (actual dates subject to change in Producer’s sole discretion), and be willing to travel to the Los Angeles, California and Atlanta, Georgia areas (and possibly other locations) as part of production. So it give a time line for filming.
istersay Posted May 28, 2021 Posted May 28, 2021 this was given to me by @world_idols ..... Las Vegas, Tampa, and Orlando are being considered as the first host city. The program will consist of five "heats" of 10 states each competing for four spots that will advance to the next round. The 20 remaining states will compete in two semifinals, with five states in each semifinal qualifying for the Grand Finals. The 10 finalists will battle for the American Song Contest trophy. Each states choose them self how to find your finalists By make a national selection or international selection 1,heat + 10 states – 4 states go to next round 2.heat + 10 states – 4 states go to next round 3.heat + 10 states – 4 states go to next round 4.heat + 10 states – 4 states go to next round 5.heat + 10 states – 4 states go to next round So that means these 20 states go to the semi shows Semi 1 (10 stats – 5 go to finale) Semi 2 (10 stats – 5 go to finale) So that means these 10 states go to finale Grand finale (10 states) 3 1

Can they even watch it? Unless they have some compelling argument as to why it's bad, why should we care what they think? I'll just watch and enjoy the show. 1
